  1. Most people on here are never as happy as when they have something that is upsetting them... Missing a chance or two doesn't automatically make you terrible. Drmic hasn't been particularly good but he hasn't had a lot of opportunity to play, so I'll hold my judgement beyond a couple of starts and then the odd 1 minute at the end of the game.
  2. I'm torn, the best way to inflict pain on their supporters would be to rename them Norwich B team and make them play in yellow and green, but I wouldn't want them to be associated to us like that. I guess I'd just settle for the same way I've ruined them in every game of Football Manager that I've ever played.
  3. It is no exaggeration to say that I genuinely fear for the the human race when I read things as stupid as these. Does Farke have faults? Yes. Should he (in my opinion) bring subs on earlier? absolutely. Do I think he is a poor manager who is completely out of his depth? Of course not, I am not mentally challenged. What exactly did some of you expect? to waltz into european qualifcation? What realistic manager could we get who is even half as good as Farke? Maybe we should see if Sir Alex fancies coming out of retirement to take to take us to untold glory? I really, really despair at the over reaction. We win a game "WE'RE THE BESTEST EVER IN THE WORLD. We lose a game "WE WONT GET ANOTHER POINT, SACK THE MANAGER, THE PLAYERS AND EVERYONE ELSE". Jesus.
  4. I'd be shocked if it wasn't Krul, Aarons, Zimmerman, Hanley, Byram Tettey*, McClean Cantwell, Duda, Hernandez Pukki * Assuming he's fit. If not, I'd go for Amadou / Rupp. I have a new found appreciation for Trybull, but he's not physical / mobile enough to be played as the 'main' defensive midfielder, as McClean is more forward thinking.
  5. Yes it should. If only another ball game, that may have originated from Football had a VAR / TMO type arrangement and paved the way for how it should be done...
  6. Definitely keep. Unfortunate to be out of the team.
  7. I thought the 'clear and obvious' was just in general play that they would intervene. However, all goals - as game changing - were checked as a matter of course. Whilst offside are also auto-checked, as they are a definite rather than being subjective; they either are onside or they are offside and therefore the clear and obvious does not apply.
  8. Isn't this a good thing? The VAR officials politely suggests that the Ref take another look, he looks and decides if he made a mistake. If his decision after review influenced by the suggestion it could be wrong then he is weak willed and should not be in that position. It happens in Rugby all the time. I just don't get why we can't follow Rugby, give the Refs / VAR (TMO) microphones, listen to their conversations (on TV) and everything becomes much clearer and in theory less complaints. They still won't get it right 100% but it will be more transparent and invite less conspiracies.
  9. Hernandez should have 100% been on prior to the sending off and the obvious replacement is either Cantwell, Buendia or Duda. I would have removed one of those; probably Emi, because, as good as he is with the ball, when we're winning, the likelihood that he will throw a strop when he gets tackled / fouled / lose the ball and not track back potentially outweighs his massive benefit of being magic with the ball. However, today, as others have said, Cantwell ran around all day and was one of the few to keep going full speed, even at the end. His running disrupted them and helped see the game out.
  10. They were checking offside in the lead up. PS, seen it on TV and I wouldn't have given a red, even against our player.
  11. He isn't the saviour who will single handedly deliver us, but he was certainly better than OK. I thought he was very good.
  12. It both was and wasn't a red. In the current rules it was a red card, in what the rules should be - not over protecting a load of prima donna's who fall over and cry when they break a nail - it wasn't. Edit, I actually finished the sentence.
  13. I agree. I can almost feel them thinking "here we go again" and dropping back as a result. I hope the result will mean we don't do that next time and can have a bit stronger confidence.
  14. Thanks for the prediction Nostradamus. Any other expected results? Liverpool to win the league, England to reach the knock out but fail to win the Euro's!!
  15. I don't doubt that by the rules, it was probably a red. That still doesn't mean I agree with the rules. It's a mans game, sometimes you get caught. Toughen up and stop rolling around the floor if someone breathes on you.
  16. Agreed. Should have made a sub before that though and definitely, definitely, definitely should have got Hernandez on.
  17. It's a mans game. He slid in, didn't get the ball so is a stupid challenge to make, but he didn't try to foul him, he didn't try to catch him. I can see why it was given, but I wouldn't have (even if it was a Bournemouth player on ours).
  18. Not a red for me. Bad tackle but not a red. Maybe by the letter of the law it is, but I don;'t agree with it. Mis-timed, not malicious.
  19. Anyone else want Hernandez on shortly? They will inevitably start to come at us to try to get something and his pace will cause them troubles.
  20. Whilst this makes sense and I agree with the theory, opposed to those demanding that we spend money we don't have (or will not have after relegation), I think we have too much to do to stay up this season now and it will take a miracle. In this situation, would it not be sensible to spend money on a purchase for the future, that will help next year, preparing for the likely departure of players? I see no problem with it If this signing has minimal cost attached to it and we are also going to make some other prudet transfers, but will be underwhelmed if this is it.
  21. I thought he was good. I'd have given him an 7.5; he was good but not excellent (and certainly not perfect). He got caught in possession at least a couple of times in the first half, but other than that, good.
  22. Calm down people. He looked good and could become a good player, but he is neither a superstar yet nor the worst player we've ever had, when, inevitably he doesn't score for a few games and people start overreacting in the other direction.
