  1. I feel it to be more of a flounder type of midfield, myself…;)
  2. Therefore....the point being....Farke wasn't the problem and now we're worse because we've lost any idea of identity.
  3. To be fair, Webber didn’t just sell our best players. Buendia wanted out. Cantwell wanted out. Skipp was on loan. Here we are. The tragedy is the mismanagement of Cantwell to allow such a high value asset (at the time) go to absolute waist. Makes the Buendia sale only half as good.
  4. I’d pick the 1st team without any hesitation. But, no Aaron’s?
  5. What always brings an ironic smile to my face is that these same people seem to thoughtlessly spend extremely significant amounts of other people’s money, as though it’s as simple as playing Monopoly.
  6. That line is not parallel to the field. If it were, there is no offside.
  7. All things considered, I think we’ve held our own. Just need to keep composure when we have possession. It looks like Williams has almost figured out Salah.
  8. I feel your sentiment. I would agree with you 100% except for the word 'hate'. For me it's more of a matter of becoming disdainful.
  9. I agree. Even though this was an FA cup match, the PL should send a swift and strong message by penalizing the club with a £10MM fine, 15 point deduction (even though it’s a cup match) and a 2 year ban from domestic and European competitions outside the league. Do we really need the chaos of the 80s & 90s reinventing itself?
  10. There’ll be some vinegar added here soon…..
  11. I hear ya. I tend to lean more towards shot on target and did the defense allow anything to threaten the keeper. Krul had a few soft shots to stop, otherwise everything else was just air.
  12. True. But I feel we defended well and absorbed the pressure. Watford never really got off a solid shot.
  13. Sorry if I’ve missed any updates, but does anyone know an expected return date?
  14. Looks reasonable. Except I feel the Newcastle, West Ham & Spurs results are a little optimistic. I would have to say a draw for each of these. Another aspect that will help is to bounce back from a loss and not get dragged back into a habit of losing.
  15. I wouldn’t include Ida in that list. He looks to be coming along nicely. Just needs more game time. But as for the overall results from recruiting, it’s been abysmal. And on top of that, another season of throwing away good money.
  16. I would say that it's a combination of the players around him not allowing him to be comfortable to push up with confidence, as well as the style of play having shifted somewhat to a more direct style, which removes Max from a portion of the build-up play.
  17. That's a tough call. What was Max supposed to do, let his man create space and shoot from 6yds out with no pressure?
  18. I say trigger the extension and let him rot on the U23 bench. Teach him and all the other youngsters who get too big for their pants an (expensive) lesson.
  19. Okay…I’ll take a swing at the soft pitch… He’s done nothing.
