We have managed without Johnson,Howson,Pritchard and Jerome and we will do so without Maddison,Gunn and even Tettey.
First time I''ve heard of almost goalless, uninspring, dire and boring football being described as "managed" unless you''ve missed ot "to avoid relegation"
I would hazard at a guess that up until the defeat at home to Sheff Utd you would have probably been as optimistic as me and think that we might make the playoffs. Hardly avoiding relegation.
 2.
I heard after the first deadline it was four. Two in the lower Barclay, an old duffer in the blankets and a Delia''s box wannabe in the cathedral lounge. No wait... Five! Because there''s a poor old boy who let McNasty con him into buying a three season ticket a couple of years ago.
Four now because I have just decided not to renew mine
 3.
Interesting you seem to have totally forgotten Jacob Murphy. Yes we have managed but we''ve obviously gone backwards.
Yes I had forgotten him. I guess he would have been a transfer for the money he generated.
 4. Sell our best players? By that you mean the one that somehow we managed to pluck from under the noses of a lot of bigger clubs, who has turned out to be so good that holding on to him was not going to happen. The other ''good'' players being ones that wanted to leave-Pritchard and Howson- and a centre forward who had had his better days and wasn''t scoring many goals. The others,Ruddy and co, were a cost cutting exercise that made sense at the time. As for the rest of the squad, Gunn and Leitner are loans and probably not here next season, I can''t think of anyone that other clubs would be clamouring to buy. The only two that might be worth anything substantial are Klose, who is not having that good a time at present and we do have a ready made replacement in Raggett or Oliveira, who once again is not producing goals or performance and quite frankly a vast number of supporters would gladly see him go. Norwich has never really been in this position before where they have had such a hot and valuable property. Apart from the entire team at Wolves(all bar a couple of players we all know maybe) and the young lad at Fulham - Sessy something or other-there aren''t that many stand out individual players. We have managed without Johnson,Howson,Pritchard and Jerome and we will do so without Maddison,Gunn and even Tettey.
 5. This is the sort of question Paddy / Bailey should be asking at the press conference; sorry presser
 6.
Is Duncan''s post satire? Or are there really people on here like that?
I think the post has merit.Supporters all loved it when he was honest and open and criticising the board for what went on in the past now he has had a pop at the supporters and all of a sudden he is not flavour of the month. When it is his time to go whether its by choice or force, I somehow don''t think my opinion of the man will have any effect on that decision.
 7.
Seems to me despite all the promises that things were going to change we have basically learned nothing and we are still p*ssing our money up the wall by buying players who are deemed not good enough, do not fit our style of play and are now surplus to requirements. If you don''t give players like Raggett a chance in the remaining games when there is nothing to play for then they''re unlikely to get a game next season.
Thats fine and you would think that is the way that we should approach the remaining matches but look what happens when we lose, as against QPR. Supporters are up in arms complaining about how bad we are,get rid of DF and SW and the board. Its all very well suggesting blooding other players but if you can''t accept the consequences whats the point.
 8.
The football is absoultely dreadful and this side is mediocre at best... Without Madders.... Does not bear thinking about
Wouldn''t say its dreadful but its certainly frustrating and I wouldn''t say as a team we are mediocre unfortunately we have one or two who are underperforming, Murphy being the most obvious. As for Maddison. Yes,without him this season we would possibly be in trouble but off the top of your head who are the ''Maddisons'' of other teams in the Champs that have caught your eye. I can only think of Fleck of Sheff.Utd and Neves(?) of Wolves. On Friday against Fulham I don''t recall them having a stand out playmaker, yet they certainly showed us with slick passing why they are 16 unbeaten and battling for automatic promotion.
 9. If the club wants supporters to take a gamble on losing their investment but are confident that within that 5 year period we will have the success that will repay that investment why don''t they put there money where their mouth is and take a gamble themselves by guaranteeing to repay the supporters their initial investment in the event that it fails.
 10.
Well, at least your username is apt Grumpy..
Yes I guess so but I pride myself in the fact that I am passionately proud of my team. It matters not one jot who owns it, runs it or manages it. I will be there,if not in body, most certainly in soul.Which is more than can be said about a lot of people on this forum. Sometimes the negativity directed at all things Norwich City is overwhelming.
 11.
Well Nigel, my season ticket has been cancelled but as I''ve said before it is due to personal circumstances rather than some grand gesture.
Me too I''m afraid. I just can''t justify the cost anymore, the hassle of having to leave my house at 12 to find somewhere to park, having to sit in Morrisons for an hour eating lunch, the relative hassle of the drive home due to the awful traffic system, driving in a mood determined by the result or performance, which seems in the main to have been a bad mood, listening to the awful Canary Call. Oh and that bloody awful PA. It really is surprising how all these things impact on your day No I''m sorry the stress is just too much. What will I gain apart from ยฃ350.Not a great deal. Because I will still listen to the commentary and read the internet report and watch them when they are on TV, shouting and swearing, pacing around my lounge wishing the ref to blow for full time. Because I am a supporter and it''s what we do. I went into this season knowing that we were in for a period of wholesale changes that would give the club a better chance of survival and would hopefully lead to success;eventually. With each passing game and the realisation that we are going to end up mid table or possibly better coupled with the expectation of losing some of our quality players amongst which is possibly one of the most gifted players we have had for many years,it is very difficult to see where and when that success might come from.
 12. Is it just me that thinks the half time ''entertainment'' is just a complete load of pants.
 13. For the life of me I can''t fathom out why we took on the troubled youngster from Spurs. If he is as good as they say, he would be knocking on the door at Spurs but his attitude seems to be a big problem. If he couldnt make it there why did they think it would be any easier here. Apart from anything else it just seems so ridiculous that someone, with the apparent ability he is supposed to have, would not grasp the opportunity with both hands knowing the rewards that it could bring.
 14.
I thought the first half "performance" was excellent. Control, composure and if you watch the highlights we had 4 or 5 very good, clear goalscoring chances. We should have been at least 2 or 3 up at half time and had we been then everyone would have been praising that performance as one of our best of the season. I donn;t know what we do to recitify these misses or if it was just one of those days. Murphy has form for wastefulness admittedly but Oliveira didn;t do much wrong with his couple of chances, Madders was unlucky when he hit the post and Leitner is a good player who I suspect would score that 7 or 8 times out of ten.
Thats how I saw it. Nobody has given any credit to their keeper or defenders for denying us at least 3 goals. If it was Bolton making those chances and Gunn or Zimmermann making the saves we would be lauding their efforts. In the first half Bolton gave us all the room we needed for Maddison/Leitner and Reed to create enough chances to be out of sight by half time but just as Norwich have done on occasions Bolton came out with a different attitude and game plan and stopped us from creating any clear cut chances. Any thoughts I had for a top 6 finish have clearly gone now but I think the loss to Sheffield Utd was really the point where it all faltered.
 15. Do any of these questions get asked at a shareholders meeting
 16.
Has probably identified most of the 12 year olds who caused the damage too. Who needs CCTV
That was the first thing that occurred to me. As an old seasoned supporter it never ceases to amaze me the mentality of some supporters. Why can''t they go to a game and by all means support your team but enjoy the game for what it is instead of reverting to this aggressive confrontational attitude. It did seem from the video that the majority of those causing the damage were early teens. As someone who hurries to get out of the ground and make my way home it did surprise me to see the scenes outside the ground. The shame of it is that the mindlessness of the away supporters is mirrored by the home supporters too.
 17.
I would expect if we had holidayed for a fortnight in the Bahamas it would have cost a considerable amount more than had we spent a fortnight in Clacton (binners) ie our player wage bill has been extremely higherThere is nothing left after that money has been spent.McCarthy is just fed up with the abuse he gets from half witted farm hands who still seem to imagine their grubby little club should be part of the ''big time''.As to us we have a wealth of young talent coming through - at a training ground that has not only been upgraded but is ours.We are where we are through paying our way and living within our means. They are where they are through poncing off others and defrauding others. We have a future, they have a (dim and distant) past
Just not necessary. It gets really tiresome
 18. Not sure whether this relates to the point of moving free kicks forward but in the case of offside, if the player comes from an offside position to receive the ball in what is obviously a onside point the kick is taken from where he received the ball and sometimes this can make a big difference.
 19. That is a really good video. His style of play doesn''t seem to have changed much in all those years. It makes you wonder why he was snapped up by one of the bigger clubs, its certainly a feather in our caps that we managed to get him.
 20. If you watch football enough of course you will know of him. He has been on televised matches before
 21. What utter bilge. I just wasted 10 minutes of my life on this
 22. I have to give credit when it is due.Someone either took notice of my email or reads these posts because unless my ears deceived me the PA was actually better on Saturday. Not good but better, could still do with tweeking a bit.
