  1. Nothing really to be happy about at the moment.Bristol are a good side and giving us problems. We will do well to get something out of this game.
  2. Personally I hope we go for 5th place as Southampton are the team I would prefer to play in the playoffs. I think the top three have got it all to themselves,I wouldnt want to play any of those in a two legged play off place but would gladly take our chance if we could get to Wembley
  3. Off the top of my head apart from Murphy,Maddison and Buendia I cant think of anyone we have sold recently who has enhanced their reputation.Their bank balance maybe Even Skipp is struggling to make the team (I know we didnt sell him but he illustrates my point).
  4. I really am not a lover of players playing out of position and these two are the only other players along with McCallum who are left footed that play in defence. If Knapper has a plan to replace them then fair enough but as things stand we need them.
  5. Looking at the first team squad I would say that the ones under consideration are Barden Batth SVH McCracken Tzolis Springett Warner and as a possibility Fassnacht/Barnes
  6. I assume that is a observation rather than a criticism of Sainz as in football today it seems the modern trend is for players to play on the 'wrong' side to their favoured foot. This season has seen quite a few really good goals scored by players coming inside and scoring with curled shots at goal. There are quite a few class players who tend to play for their clubs on their 'wrong' side that invariably come inside;Grealish,Silva,Elliott,Kulusevski and Antony come to mind
  7. Agree with you about Sam but you spoilt it with your thoughts on Brady.Knapper has designs on lowering the age group
  8. Thats as maybe but it does beg the question of Knappers idea of a good player and it must affect the relationship between him and Wagner. He surely cant be happy that the player he thought could replace Idah cant get a look in. Wagner may call the tune on the pitch but Knapper has a big trump card if he wishes to play it
  9. Re SVH. Knapper may hold the purse strings but Wagner calls the tune.
  10. Barnes certainly isnt having his best game. His contribution is poor I would like to think that someone off the bench could offer at least as much if not more.
  11. Bearing in mind the possibility of upcoming games I really hope/think that Wagner would not risk playing Sarg if there was any chance that he might end up without him.
  12. Not the result that we wanted but we are still in the hunt and the other results went in our favour. Special mention to Sainz. His contribution both from an attacking point of view as well as defending, since his eventual introduction to the team has been excellent but above all, his discipline since the red card debacle has been superb despite some fairly heavy treatment from players.Previously he would have reacted somewhat differently to the way he was thrown to the ground tonight.
  13. Much as I try not have this fixation with a them and us mentality it is just so hard however hard I try.I even took my wife out for afternoon tea (it was her birthday after all) on Saturday because I/we couldnt bare to listen or watch the game for the dread of losing.Boy did it make our day when we found out on our drive home that we had won. As for the question.I only really want to see Ipswich again in the Prem.I will take S'hampton or WBA in the semi/final.If we lost to either of those it would not be so gut wrenching because I have this awful feeling that the day Ipswich finally beat us it would be either at the semi or final stage of the season.
  14. That was my first thought when I saw them set up for that free kick. They had a two man wall I think and I think Nunez could probable see 80% of the goal
  15. We have been playing like that for ages,Aarons in particularly
  16. I thought that initially but I think it was too high for him to get to.
  17. The tension is getting to me.Need a rest. Why do teams allow wingers, especially in Norwich' case,so much room to receive the ball. They are obviously aware of our vulnerability down our left side and boy are they exploiting it Not a good watch today
  18. Right time to put the kettle on,coffee cup at the ready and await the next installment of this crazy season. See you all at half time
  19. This and the following game is really going to be a big test of man, team and game management. Get it right and I think we could be home and dried as far as the playoffs are concerned
  20. It would be a tad unfair to drop Sorenson as he hasnt actually been too bad.Duffy may be fit but possibly not up to keeping up with someone like Vardy but probably ok as a late sub on a day like today.
  21. I can appreciate the point with regards to the result affecting Ipswich but I would much rather concern myself with catching WBA because if we are going to get in the playoffs position will be very important
  22. Difficult game to call this one.We are on a pretty impressive vein of form, they are certainly not at their best but they do have some good players in their side. Two fairly formidable centre halves, three quality midfielders and unfortunately a very fast centre forward. As hard as it might be if we can keep Dewsbury-Hall quiet and Vardy on a tight reign I think we have a good chance of getting some joy today
