  1. How ''slight'' a discount would it have taken for you to have a smile  on your face, when handing over your season ticket money?
  2. It just MIGHT be time to go and rest your weary head on your pillow Chicken.........
  3. If he''s been saying the same thing for a while, then that is worse!!   Like I said, nothing wrong with the truth, but it smacks of a bitter and twisted individual, rather than considered ''punditry''.
  4. It might well be the truth (tbc) but WHY say it, and why NOW? Cheap pathetic point scoring in my eyes. He''s waited a LONG time to say it, and now Pearce has been under pressure, Mills thought now would be good............
  5. Why come out with all this now? Why not write a best selling autobiography and reveal all? Was Mills worried about his pundit profile, with the likes of (G)Neville''s/Henry/Savage etc improving, and he felt he had to say ''something''? Pearce said at the weekend, he was sorry (back in the day) for playing Micah Richards ahead of Mills. Mills, in reply, said that Pearce had asked him to play, but after 6 months out, and only 3 days training that he didn''t feel he could. So, after all this time, and with Pearce, seemingly, at the most pressure he''s been under, Mills decides the World needs to know his little gem. Sekonda  couldn''t have done it better. Did Mills really think that the Forest Board would suddenly hold an emergency meeting to discuss this revelation? Mills was probably banking on red hot favourites Derby backing his argument up..................
  6. That looks like you''re judging him on one game LDC - if so, unfair
  7. Mills was a right back, and that''s not the most glamorous of positions, so that may explain why he isn''t the first name you would think of.   I think he is just trying to justify his job. (btw , what exactly got him onto that Football Panel with the likes of Hoddle etc?) Of course, Danny, if you decided to get out of your chair and put yourself into a Manager''s position, then a fair balanced debate could take place................   Everyone''s a critic
  8. Before the game, my mate and I said that Lafferty would last an hour. It was based on his match fitness,  as Eaton just said, that has been lacking recently.
  9. Perhaps Lafferty was used as a ''horses for courses'' pick? It might be a bit early to say that AN prefers him, just has in the first week, and may well have made a judgment, on what he knew about Lafferty from his Rangers days? Grabban is, at the moment, on the bench because he had a dip in form, and Jerome and Hoops have grasped the chance. If we were to get rid of him in this Transfer Window, and get a replacement, then I would think that the replacement would have to be good enough to go straight into the starting 11, otherwise, what would be the point of all that paperwork?
  10. But with Bunn also going we will still need to sign a keeper. Would you go for an experienced bench man, or a young buck? We''ve got plenty of money to spend on other positions, without weakening the (vital) Keeper''s  slot
  11. That was a nice gesture from the Accies.   Mind you, you can''t be missing Alex, as your biggest ever crowd turned up, only a week after he left!
  12. I presumed this thread was about the standard and pricing of the catering at the ground.   I thought Hooper in the ''10'' position sort of worked ok yesterday, but at times, thought he was too deep, but running at defenders, with his pace, is a good thing. Fitness I certainly agree with, and felt that some of our best performances over recent seasons, have been when we have pressed teams, to hurry their passing, forcing errors.
  13. And spend it on who? Another keeper?
  14. I would want him to stay here, but himself, his agent, and Mr McNally may see things differently!
  15. I would agree under normal circumstances, but as it is in a competition they are not going to win, and their players may never get the chance again, and thinking of things like future motivation after McGeehan leaves, and a perceived ''lack of trust'' in the players that have got Cambridge to this position, then I would leave him out of the starting team.
  16. Everyone''s a manager, so here''s a potential problem. If you were the Cambridge manager, and after that performance by McGeehan, would you start him against Man Utd in the Cup on Friday? I wouldn''t my self, I would reward the players that got to that stage (obviously allowing for a fully fit squad)
  17. Now THAT was a funny post Reggie   Barclay Seats, I think its very good value, for what I pay for my season ticket, and I bet you that the non-season ticket holders like LDC etc, would gladly be in a position to pay even more than that, to watch their team regularly
  18. If we win - VFM If we lose - Mass hysteria If we draw- 1 or 2 replies max
  19. Of course you are entitled to call them ''Premier League'' prices, because they didn''t shift, but of course pro rata......   Btw, where do you sit Waveney?
  20. Calm yourself Herman I feel it is a coded message to our new manager to not sign any player with ''son'' at the end of their name
  21. Even with tickets at £10, a full(ish) house, and the chance to knock out a Prem Team, they can''t raise anything more than clearing their throats.
