norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted January 4, 2012 We are only 9 points off of regulation as things stand. Come on Everton [:(][:S]

Bill 1,788 Posted January 4, 2012 Keeps Everton below us on the down side Newcastle go further ahead, pushing 7th place further out of reach
Branston Pickle 4,150 Posted January 4, 2012 We are still in a good place, Bolton winning isn''t a bad thing and keeps us in 9th....I still hate Everton for ''85 and would be pleased as anything if they could be drawn into the relegation fight!
Phyxius 0 Posted January 4, 2012 They were 40/1 for a while on Betfair after Everton scored, A braver man than me would have backed them
yoda 0 Posted January 4, 2012 The Bolton result just goes to prove none of the bottom teams are down already neither are we safe from them catching us .

Tim Allman 1 Posted January 4, 2012 So City are now 9 points + GD ahead of the top of the bottom three. Regardless of tonight''s result the overall outcome of the weekend''s fixtures has been very good for us.

Reggie Strayshun 0 Posted January 5, 2012 I''d also agree with that Your Lordship, but it does show that the other teams down in the bottom pack will pick up points in unexpected places, which is kind of what people were saying on the "Don''t count your Chickens..." thread yesterday. Of course that applies to us too, and I''m sure we will win unexpectedly AND lose when everyone expects us to win over the next 18 games. Personally, if its going to happen, I do not expect us to be mathematicaly safe till the last week in Apr at the earliest.
Beauseant 0 Posted January 5, 2012 While I understand peoples anxiety, we really shouldn''t be worrying too much about this sort of thing. If we stick with the magic 40 point figure we now need to garner the equivalent of 5 wins from our remaining 18 games. Hopefully we''ll have some new faces, and we certainly have a better understanding of what the Prem is all about. Set against that is that other clubs know more about us, but even so we should have enough about us to get those 15 points (if, indeed,we need that many). Points in the bag are more important than points on the table in these situations.Having safety confirmed would be good for my blood pressure, but I have to say that, at the moment at least, I''m loving the ride! Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted January 5, 2012 I honestly think 36 pts will be enough this season, which would be another 11.For me unless Lambert should leave we will be ok and the relegated clubs will be 3 from the bottom 5 all of which are getting left behind. Next season will be another dogfight though there are many clubs that have survived season 1 only to go down the next
ROBFLECK 134 Posted January 5, 2012 Let''s just keep performing like we are now, I was at the game saturday and we performed great imo. Ayala looked classy , Pilks was great and Morison did it again, not to mention Ruddy''s great save of the Taraabt free kick. I feel confident OTBC!
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted January 5, 2012 I don''t get this but each to their own. From my perspective I wanted Bolton to win. I hope our players did too. I should imagine they did. Their efforts on Monday got them above Everton and now they stay above Everton. I was well disappointed that Newcatle beat Man Utd because they are now 8 points in front of us. But even so that''s closer than Bolton who are 9 behind us. I hope our players don''t look back. I hope they target Stoke who are just 4 points in front of us. But it seems I''m pretty much alone with my thoughts but then again that''s nothing new on here.
