J.Warman

player on trial

He can''t be any worse than Morison or Holt.

Both of them are "triers", but neither of them have the class required for the Premier League unfortunately.

Love to hear these kind of chances happening not just for the lad but the club too, could unearth a diamond here (or not) but hey if he signs if nothing else Paul Moy may have a new hero on his hands.

Waste of time!

His exploits have been in the LOWER REACHES OF NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL which PROVES!!!!! he is definitely NOT good enough for the Premier League and never will be.

Anybody who thinks otherwise is wrong, FACT! Remember it''s only Non League.  Now everyone must stop posting about this topic and on this thread and get back to reality.

"Pilkington was 17 when he made his first appearance for the “Colls” in a North West Counties League Division One game at home to Maine Road on Saturday, November 19, 2005."

Just saying

Thing is Pilks spent 5 years making his way through the football league to get where he is. This player would be making a HUGE step up from the level he''s currently at.

we''re not saying he is going to be playing regular first team football this season , he will probably be playing for our u18''s and reserves for this season and next season before going out on loan for a season, then he will start to play for us.

this just shows we are building for the future with local talent, why do you have to be so angry and bitter about it?

Doubly agreed[Y]

The operative word is ''trial''.We haven''t gone out and bought him to stick up front with Morison. The coaches are checking him out to see if he has potential.

I really hope this is poor sarcasm...have a look at our team sheet and have a look at where they came from. Add to this the fact a certain Ian Wright looked "ok" in a local non-league side Greenwich Borough (until one amazing season)...and he ended up being a regular for the national side let alone the Prems highest scorer on a few occasions...so it can happen.
