In fact, seeing as we are 4th, level on points with 3rd and not far off 2nd, I don''t think there''s too much concern on the footballing side atm. Sure, we need a few more people bringing in the goals, but, we''re playing good football

I am quite sure that Lambert has it all under control, I would even imagine that he knows exactly who he wants should the need arise.

I think we need perspective. We are going through a small sticky patch, yet still seem to be picking up results. I think its testament to how far we have come in a short space of time that people are now jumping up and down whilst the team sits pretty in 4th.

We will go on another good run. The strikers will find their shooting boots once more. And if they dont then I have every faith in Lambert that he will find a solution. We dont need to rush to spend our cash and I think its sensible to hold on and wait for the right opportunity.

You know I''m a ''In Lambert I trust'' person, but the lack of goals up front may cost us dear this month.

And try as might, I cannot see Jacko or Wilberum improving on this situation...........can any of you?

In essence I agree with you AJ, and the chances are being created but.........

We need another Iwan or Dion to take them imho.

Have you actually seen any games this season? or is your comment based on Radio Norfolk coverage?

What is the problem with his statement?McNally isn''t saying they''re not spending it, he said there''s no rush. Which simple means, Lambert will wait for someone who compliments the team, rather than desperately buying someone... or loaning. We have to remember they have a 7 year plan, we''re not Cardiff who appear to be "premiership or bust" mentality.

McNally: No rush to spend money!

Actually David, with the strikers struggling to score I rather suggest there is!

Or has prudence returned to the boardroom again?

Source: Todays EDP.
No point doing anything before next week Wiz as at this stage of the season loans are for a MAXIMUM 93 days. So, if we signed anyone now, they wouldn''t be involved in the play-off final should we reach it.
Would you rather he stand on top of a step ladder outside Carrow road waving a big wad of money shouting"Woo-hoo, look at me, I have money to spend, please come and relieve me of it"!!??I would suspect that there are already plans in place before the announcement of the money was made.

i personally dont care if Holt, Martin and Jackson never scored another goal for us again as long as we win. if we win then it doesnt matter who scores!
why is it? if we won every game between now and the end of the season and the goals were scored by the midfielders and the defenders it wouldnt matter would it. because we had won!

Or Wiz, if you had maybe have noticed our league position, and the fact we are still picking up quite a few points without our strikers scoring....

And Also, WHO WHO WHO WHO WHO do you expect to be signed on loan, that will be good enough? It seems quite obvious their isn''t anyone Lambert wants.

Isn''t that the problem. It''s the way you read it. I took it as meaning we''re not going to be taken for a ride by clubs asking for inflated £££ simply because we have this cash. It''s about finding the right person, for the right position at the right price.

It''s an aside but isn''t Holty into double figures for the season?

It''s not about how quickly we spend this money it''s about how well.

This is a one off cash injection that needs to be spent wisely. Lambert needs to make sure he spends it on the right players whether that''s in the coming weeks to get a goal scorer in or in the summer is up to him. We have seen he won''t let the club be ripped off and he only go for peopel who he feels are right for this club. McNally is right there is no rush we don''t need to spend the money straight away.

I feel fortunate that this club is being run by the likes of Lambert and McNally rather than Wiz and Cluck.

I was hoping you''d join in GP.

Our league position is alas, a tad dodgy, with some tough old games coming up imo.

As to whom? honestly? search me, but I''m not the manager with a list as to who''s availible.

Perhaps even more than ''In Lambert I trust'' ................. In McNally I trust!

Without doubt he is at least equally responsible for the position we are currently in.

Typical cop out shite from First Wiz then.

Ignoring my question for any particular reason?

I don''t see how you can say the league position is a tad dodgy, without saying that for every club. How do we know that Forrest won''t do that they do every season, and have a nice big slump in form. How do we know Bellamy and Boothroyd won''t get injured for the rest of the season this saturday. How do we know Holt, Martin and Jackson will all score on saturday.

In out ''dodgy'' period of form we have picked up 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. And after each one of those games 80% of the people on here seem to be far far too pessimistic. So many people got upset when we didn''t sign Bennett, when we don''t even know if he would be good enough for Championship this season. Most though Jackson would be. I think this games we have had in 2011, although highlighting problems (which are more than fine to be discussed, but when people just say its all doom and gloom...) it has actually been positive. If we can pick up 12 points from 7 games, with only 12 goals from out strikers, i see that as a huge positive. Obviously it now requires a rallying call. But i will not be worried about our league position until we go 4/5 games without a win, at the moment, its 1 game without a win, not really a problem is it?

And i wouldn''t mind another striker coming in, if one was available/ And you say your not the manager with a list of whose available, well if he has that list, then well i see it as being more than clear there is no one that fits the bill, that we would not have to pay over the top money for. Say if we where going to loan a striker from anyone in the top 12 of this league, they would probably want a huge fee for that, or not let us because they don''t want us to win games for their own sake. And there aren''t all that many ''decent'' strikers in the prem available, if any.

I just don''t see any reason to be this worried at the moment Wiz, if we go and lose the next 2 games, then yes maybe. But even then we still have how ever many games left to turn it around. And all the clubs around us are just as likely to be as inconsistent in my opinion......

Wiz, did you consider that the "no rush to spend or buy" message might not actually be for City supporters but for the Chairmen of other clubs that we have approached already with the the view to signing their players on loan? These Chairman may have inflated prices in their minds for what they want in return for sending us a player or two, and as such maybe City are playing hardball with said Chairmen. With most football clubs in debt, it could end up being that a few weeks of "no need to spend or buy" brings down these incurred costs to a more realistic level, and we get the loanees at a price that is mutually acceptable, rather than inflated and exaggerated.

Also, you said that you hope that you''re not wrong - purely out of interest, but would you admit it if you were?

Only in the sense that I refuse to answer these sort of questions YB.

However, as a one off I will for you, I''m only a member as I''m now retired so in affording games I have to be selective. I last parked my bum at Carrow Road on a Saturday afternoon in October last year, I then had tea at my sons who lives in the City and has a one eyed black cat.

Now does that suffice.
