Southend Away - Pubs to drink in

A group of the Essex contingent myself included are going to the Southend game but last time we went a while ago we were late arriving and did not go for a beer.

I am aware of pubs near the ground but is there any okay for us City boys!!

Let me know, be good to get a group of us in a pub from pre match atmosphere.

Hi, just wondering if anyone can let me know of a good place to park for the southend game?  I know it''s really residentail around the ground so can we just park near the ground somewhere?

To get roadside parking you need to be there quite early as it gets quite congested. Prittlewell Chase is the best bet I think, but the Secondary school up there opens for match day parking for about a fiver. 7-8 mins walk to the ground

They usually stop for 30 mins so maybe an hour& half drinking time [:)][:)]

Tell you what there usually quite rough pubs and steer clear of them, only been down the sea front end and talk nightclub, but yeag is the Golden Lion right near the ground??
