The only problem is that the sort of people who come on a message board like this aren''t the sort of people who want to wait 6 months to see how things sort themselves out, they are the sort of people who want to pass judgement after 1 game and like giving people the benefit of their "superior" knowledge and understanding. People like me I suppose!
Canary Pirate 0 Posted September 6, 2009 Yep, that about sums up a high proportion of fans on this mb. Why the board ever went for Lambert when all they had to do was look on here for some suitable applicants is beyond me - oh no, that would have been the cheap option ! Norma Stick 0 Posted September 6, 2009 Think it is more a case of frustration rather than anything else. In order to reach at least the play-offs we must be beating teams like Walsall out of sight.Personally, I think 2 clean sheets out of 3 is more important at the moment considering we were leaking like a sieve. Build a solid foundation first.Lambert must be given time; but remember everyone is entitled to their opinion
Sideshow Tim 110 Posted September 6, 2009 I agree with DCA. I''m 100% behind Lambert, however i also find it really frustrating why he''s playing his best side, our style of play and the formation. Otherwise all is good!!!!

Canaries Utd 0 Posted September 6, 2009 I can only see people agreeing with you Wizard, but i too can understand the frustration, especially with a certain person that repeatedly gets a starting place and continually brings nothing to the park.

Barry Brockes 160 Posted September 6, 2009 Lambert is not a fool. He will have learned more about the limitations of his players yesterday and he''s already said he will bring in re-inforcements when the loan window opens ''to help'' the present players. Personally I think we need a decent centre-back, a midfield player who can take hold of games like yesterday''s, a pacey winger and a goal-scorer to stand a chance of getting into the top six. At this early stage my gut feeling is the present squad would see us finish mid to upper-mid table and no more. We have too many average players to be anything else. You can get away with two or three but not six or seven.
Sideshow Tim 110 Posted September 6, 2009 I''m not saying you''re not pro-Lambert Wiz. I was simply stating that in the post above you mention that Lambert is still unbeaten and in another thread you say we''ll win nothing in September. That could be misconstruied as being slightly fickle, don''t you agree? But whatever, i''m glad you''re pro-Lambert and i too think he will become a great NCFC manager. Our fans rithly crave the good times once again unfortunatley we want them immediately which ain''t gonna happen. 5 years of waiting patiently is wearing a bit thin now! nutty nigel 7,963 Posted September 6, 2009 Moaning about Lambert? I haven''t seen much of that to be honest. Moaning about what we endured yesterday? Put me at the top of the list!I remember posters on this message board, lots of you, moaning about what you perceived as hoofball under previous managers. Now you have a taste of what hoofball really is. I''m not moaning about Lambert and I think he will have learned more yesterday than in the previous few games. I doubt he sent the team out specifically to play like that but I''m worried that they the players on the pitch, especially the defenders, showed no patience when in possession. Hughes was always wanting the ball so there really was no excuse for continually hoofing the ball as hard and as far as they could. It''s not like they were any good at it either! Green and Yellow 0 Posted September 6, 2009 THREE games on the trot without conceding a goal. As Alan Hanson states a good team is built from the defence and not conceding goals is the starting point.

Frying Pan Eyes 0 Posted September 6, 2009 Spot on Blainsey. 3 clean sheets in a row and unbeaten in 4 games and people are getting peed off already. No manager is a miracle worker and we cant expect to win every game. Give Lambert time and i can say that he will turn us into a good football team. I know we didnt play very well yesterday but you have to give a little bit of credit to Walsall. I thought they were very organised and defended very well. Yesterday was frustrating but thats football, it happens. OTBC!!
CanaryOne 0 Posted September 6, 2009 What people are forgetting is we have had an incredibly easy start to the season , in fact i would go as far as saying we have not met a decent side yet , next Monday will be the first real acid test at Mk Dons .Anybody feel a clean sheet and 3 points will be gained ? i expect us to lose with comfort . ChelmsfordCanary 0 Posted September 6, 2009 New manager new players to him, new expectations daily from fans with who he should play etc, think we should give the chap a chance. Few games in gunn sacked players seem more unified and a manager I actually like. We are never going to attract a top manager to Norwich, and only just blinked an eye this season and there is people moaning, havent you learnt over the years thats supporting Norwich for you......a rollercoaster I happen to enjoy OTBC
