Canary02 III 0 Posted October 3, 2008 Great guy.An example of someone who can afford to make a difference, but doesn''t have the major money or the inclination to mount a takeover. He''s a smart cookie, he''s looked at the books, and he still trusts Delia and co with his cash for no return. There''s a lesson there for the doubters. TIL 1010 4,789 Posted October 3, 2008 All credit to Carl Moore but if you perceive this to be the way forward in the long term heaven help us.This is merely putting sellotape on a leaking garden hose. The sellotape kindly provided by Mr Moore is a very short term fix.We need a brand new hose which will last for years not a repair which will be leaking in a months time again. Show Me What You Gooot! 0 Posted October 3, 2008 Top bloke. Again. We really must be that broke if we can''t even fund a 1 month loan deal ourselves. I want to cry really.

Crafty Canary 497 Posted October 3, 2008 What a way to run a footbal club. Why don''t they just put charity boxes in every shop in the county. We could have an annual flag day too to raise funds. Our club is fast becoming an utter joke. We almost make Newcastle United look a coherently run club!
Mello Yello 2,302 Posted October 3, 2008 Pleased to see the club announcing (rapido) Mr Moore''s 2nd most welcome financial contribution.......Unlike, when Huckerby was ''assisted'' in coming to this club by Mr Moore''s previous most welcome financial contribution......where it seemed to be slow in being released, some time after the club received the plaudits for Huckerby''s arrival..... Ivana_rubyatitz 6 Posted October 3, 2008 Useful in short term, but as others have said it will not address the underlying problems we face financially.

Someone who does not just complain on message boards but actually does what he can to help the club move forward.

Syteanric 1 Posted October 4, 2008 yeh carl Moore, what a guy, brilliant, walks on water, the messiah....whys he not on the board then? why is he not putting his money where his mouth is and asking to contribute more to the football club as a director? is this the "investor" the club have spoken too?jas :)

Well done Carl, I am not going to knock you for what you have done. If we can bank some points up while Lita is here all well and good, because we certainly have not looked that like scoring at both Barnsley and Southampton on our travels. Syteanric 1 Posted October 4, 2008 interesting point by Crafty Canary.. without Carl Moore we would not have signed Lita... which means we cant afford him.... even on a 1 month deal....But theres no risk of adminsitration is there Doomcaser/Munby?jas :)
kdncfc 0 Posted October 4, 2008 Credit to Mr Moore but it is only papering over the cracks as a previous poster has said. What will happen if Lita is a big success and wants to stay here? and there is a Huckerbyesque clamour for us to sign him, Mr Moore may help with his wages but he isn''t wealthy enough to pay the millions it would take to sign him permanently. The current board don''t have the cash so I guess we just have to hope that a takeover happens in the next month or potentially face big disappointment as Lita goes to piswich. SWP = Poor Mans Ruel Fox!! 0 Posted October 4, 2008 Its amazing that people can manage to criticise Moore, yes criticise the board for needing a handout just to afford a 1-month loan deal, but without Moore we would never have had Huckerby and wouldnt now have Lita temporarily! Take nothing away from Mr Moore and it is good he wants to help the club... perhaps he doent have the money to do it regularly.. but for the club to state we have manageable debts then to relly on Joe Public to ride to the rescue and afford someone elses cast off for a month is embaressing. we cant afford to sign loan players on short term deals.. Carl Moore Aside... what does this mean for the future of the club?jas :)

Empty Mirror 0 Posted October 4, 2008 Yes, thanks to Mr Moore. He''s doing what he can: no one can do more. Two things stand out for me here:1. If we need Mr Moore to fund a one month loan signing the finances must be dire; and2. If a rich fan genuinely wants to help in a crisis (rather than profit from it) they seem to be able to find a way.
Nuff Said 5,175 Posted October 4, 2008 FFS, talk about seeing the glass as half empty!1. Did anyone complain about Carl Moore funding Huck''s wages and that it showed we must be skint?2. If we are skint, then the club has spent every single penny on getting in the best players we can afford. Would those who are complaining prefer that the accounts showed we had loads of money in the bank unspent?3. What has been the main criticism of the team on the pitch (apart from Fozzy perhaps)? Our inability to score. The club find a way to try and fix this and what do people do? Find the negative in it!Yes, things could be better, we could be bidding for Ronaldo but in the circumstances this is a POSITIVE event.Yours Percy

[/quote]I assume you are referring to Cullum, surprise surprise someone manages to turn this into a bit of Cullum bashing! Lets turn the tables, Delia and MWJ are apparently (I''m not disputing this lol) big fans of the club, from the quote given to buy the club would they not be making a profit out of their investment in NCFC?? Its very admirable that Moore is willing to hand money over to the club. But given the money Cullum wanted to invest it is not unreasonable to expect some kind of holding. He has made this contribution for a specific purpose, ie. to bring in a particular player who would not have come here otherwise. Would he have given the board a five figure sum and said "here you are, spend it as you wish"? I don''t think so . . .
