Match Day Pie 0 Posted July 29, 2008 Where was it then? All you moaners made a lot of noise about it after the Cullum circus. Chicken out did you?Oooh, bet you''ve really got the rage now we''ve lost a practice match.Let''s see you outside the Colchester game then. Not.

O.T.B.C 0 Posted July 29, 2008 No, he will be in the pub moaning, slagging others off for supporting the club. Don''t forget what I told you before about organising a protest, march, demonstration etc. Contact the police, wouldn''t want you to get nicked for failing to comply, actually would be fun. Match Day Pie 0 Posted July 29, 2008 Looks to me like we won''t be getting any replies from those who are so full of hot air that claim to ''care'' for our club. What a surprise.
Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted July 29, 2008 Delia Out!No really, I would prefer to see a change at the top. I however have the organising skills of an unskilled organiser or someone in a management position at Norwich Union [:D] Force the bugger out! I also fear that should I actually stand on Carrow Road jumping up and down like a fool I would be left alone and the great protest would begin.
xxxx 0 Posted July 29, 2008 Seeing Delia hugging Stephen Fry before kick off last night was more than enough for some so called supporters ,who cares if the football is League 1 standard we have a famous old lady running the club we should all be proud . Coelho 0 Posted July 29, 2008 I''m usually quite a neutral voice on this subject, but when you look at what we''ve brought in over the summer, it doesn''t look a whole lot better on paper than last summer''s new arrivals. All the talk of Roeder having a decent transfer budget, and we''ve brought in:Stefanovic - freeBertrand - loanOmozusi - loanKennedy - loanClingan - freeHoolahan - 250kBell - undisclosed (less than £500k I''d imagine?)Lupoli - loanFirstly, Roeder is a much better manager than Grant, and I trust him to gel the side together and at least ensure that we don''t end up down the bottom like we did last season. However, it does irritate me that he is being asked to make a silk purse from a sow''s ear. If Cullum isn''t prepared to haggle over the value of the club and meet the board half-way then fair enough for them not selling out, but Delia''s smug comments about investment at the Royal Norfolk Show are looking more and more wide of the mark the nearer we get to the start of the season. I think it''s too early to protest, but if we end up in the bottom six in October, I think the fans need to show some balls and make their voices heard. In the meantime, let''s support the manager and the players!
xxxx 0 Posted July 29, 2008 And tell me Match Day Pie if we get a few results like that when the season starts how long do you think it will be before the Delia out chants start up just like they did with Worthy ? My bet would be not long at all , Delia is no longer the Saint to one and all just the gulliable few .
Evil Monkey 52 Posted July 29, 2008 I''d rather Stephen Fry ran the club, personally, he''d bring a bit ofclass to it all. And he could implement an IQ test to become amember, then we could weedle the likes of Smudger and Bly out and thosewould be happier days![:D]
xxxx 0 Posted July 29, 2008 You are right , lots of players brought in just like in January but no real money spent .
The Walking Man 13 Posted July 29, 2008
Stefanovic - freeBertrand - loanOmozusi - loanKennedy - loanClingan - freeHoolahan - 250kBell - undisclosed (less than £500k I''d imagine?)Lupoli - loan
It really isn''t that simple...Most loans come with a standard loan fee, in the case of Kennedy it was probably a fairly large one seeing as Motherwell weren''t prepared to paqy for it, for the players on a free it is generally accepted that because there is no transfer fee involved the player expects a larger signing on bonus, and as for Bell I know it was undisclosed but the papers were reporting it as 600k. Don''t forget that teh transfer window hasn''t closed and we haven''t finished the rebuilding job...

Remember he gave the board his targets and they were agreed, there is no guarantee of success and the more fickle fans will always use Delia as a scapegoat because she did not sell our club on the cheap. Delia is not only the majority shareholder she is a passionate fan.
colneycanary 0 Posted July 29, 2008 You are hardly going to get any kind of protest when over 50% of supporters attending were spurs fans.

Not.
I really am not prone to giving out insults, but honestly what an idiot you are! I don''t go to friendlies anymore, ever since having to sit next to a fat chav Gooner when we played and lost to the Arsenal a few years back. It looks like most of the other city fans agree with me, as judging by the pictures on Setanta approx 15000 of the crowd appeared to be Spurs fans, hardly likely to wish to protest against Delia keeping us as little Norwich. And what did you make of last nights game. Yes that''s right gutsy little Norwich trying our best to match the much superior Spurs side, eventually getting swept away in the second half. I would have been sick with embarassment had I have been there. Beaten 5 -1 in our our stadium which was mostly occupied by away fans. How humiliating do you want things to be before you wake up? Last night was another cynical attempt to rake in extra cash. The club couldn''t give a toss that most of the "fans" weren''t even there to support NCFC. People such as myself are loath to protest and hope that we don''t have to. People like you who brownose the club will achieve only one thing, keeping us in the Championship or getting us relegated by putting up with being taken for a mug year after year. I hope you are proud of yourself, you are the type that is letting this great club down.

Bury Yellow 2 Posted July 29, 2008 Well said Barclay Boy. Totally agree.Another similar comment to MDP was Felix Fan and isn''t he on the SCG If so that explains a lot! If not my apologies Felix Fan. Still don''t agree with you though!

If not my apologies Felix Fan. Still don''t agree with you though!
Yes I am on the SCG albeit a relatively new member. But no it does not explain anything and I am certainly not uncritical or complacent. I just think we are very lucky to have a well run club and I share the managers and boards vision for the future. I do not think it will be a quick fix although one lives in hope and if the right buyer came along and shared that vision I would be delighted. I just see no future in blaming Delia for all of the past mistakes and the last thing we need now is anti Delia protests. I speak and listen to many fans most of them season ticket holders and whilst they are all looking for improvement and investment I have detected no great anti Delia sentiment.
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted July 29, 2008 I would say that you have spoken to a select few then maybe? We, myself and my better half are anti Delia, but support GR and the players, and we are season ticket holders. I have to say that I don''t think we are alone in these feelings as I personally know of other fans that we socialise with who feel the same as us.If, and that''s a big IF, things go horribly wrong by Christmas and NC aren''t doing so well, I feel that the fans who want Delia out will become more vocal. But that is just IMHO.
Felixfan 53 Posted July 29, 2008 I think as has been said on other threads there are a lot of fans sitting on the proverbial fence.
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted July 29, 2008 Felixfan, I agree with you on that, I too was a fence sitter for a while, however the PC debarcle firmly pushed me over the anti-board side, it''s taken a few years for my eyes to be firmly opened, although the start of that was really Delia''s rant on the pitch, making us the laughing stock of the Country, closely followed by the Worthy saga, then PG and the start of our demise, to present day, blurting out drivel at the RNS.I will always back the manager and players, but the board have to coin a phrase ''''cooked their goose'''' with myself and other friends of ours. As sad as it is, and as appreciative as we may be for what Delia and the board has done in the past, IMO it''s time for them to stand aside and someone on baord who can take our club forwards. xxxx 0 Posted July 29, 2008 Yes we are a well run club , its just the football we are crap at , you say if the right buyer comes along , well after turning away Cullum who most fans thought was the best we could hope for do you really believe anybody else is going to fit Delias strict criteria ?. You may not sense any anti Delia feeling now but if results go the wrong way this season people will turn on her very early .As for the SCG , how many members of that elite hand picked group are anti Board and would like Cullum to run the club ? my guess would be not very many . Bury Yellow 2 Posted July 29, 2008 This was exactly my point when piking up on Felix Fan''s original comment.I respect your point of view FF but from who I talk to, all of whom are season ticket holders, they most certainly do not agree with your sympathy for the board nor do they recognise your glowing report of their efforts. As has been just stated, it is a worry that it seems that most of the SCG hold your point of view which i do not think is an accurate reflection of many supporters.I for one look forward to the next agm to witness Ms Smith throwing her toys out of the pram once again when someone dares to ask an awkward question!Calm negotiator she aint. I do however have a theory as to why fans in our neck of the woods are more pro Delia - a lot of them including myself work/ed in Ipswich and surrounds and Delia is reviled by binner fans because she brought money and celebrity to our club and had the temerity to live in Suffolk.I know lots of Canary fans who flaunt pictures of Delia and use Delia mugs in their office. In contrast Ipswich fans would not have Delia cookbooks in the house. We have stood by and defended Delia and all things Norwich City despite torrents of abuse so perhaps we will be the last to revolt.
