YellowRoad 0 Posted March 29, 2008 If Sheffield W wins on tuesday ... v Coventry we will be only 3 point above Southampton ... who will fall into the relegation zone But everybody still seems to be happy ... and confident ... but I don''t know why .... Pete Raven 276 Posted March 29, 2008 Yes, IF they win. And with Southampton''s goal difference they''re essentially 4 points behind us.
Branston Pickle 4,150 Posted March 29, 2008 ...it is certainly true that it could get a bit tighter before it gets better, but the flipside of a Sheff Wed win on Tuesday would be Coventry needing to glean enough points to get themselves safe from a tough final 5 games that include Watford, Stoke, Wolves and Charlton; to be fair, the other is away to Colchester, but I''d certainly prefer not to have their run in! Green and Yellow 0 Posted March 29, 2008 I can see the trap door of a must win game at Sheffield Wed on the last game of the season and if that is the case NCFC just do not have the resilience for the fight.

Time to go Delia 0 Posted March 29, 2008 Still not sure either way , Burnley and QPR appear to be our best chance of points but Burnley are only 3 points off the play offs so that will be far from easy and Qpr are nobodies pushovers these days .
Sing Up The South Stand 0 Posted March 29, 2008 For crying out loud! The only teams relying on other results are those in the relegation. Not us. How can we rely on other results when we''re not in the drop zone? And if SW win their games in hand (which I doubt they will) we won''t be in the drop zone. And 3 points is stil in our own hands. How anyone can suggest otherwise is beyond me.If we were in the relegation zone we would be reliant on other results, as we are not it''s impossible to be. It is in our hands. Flipside 0 Posted March 29, 2008 Lots of talk on message boards tonight that they named 6 loanees on team sheet...If this is still valid;6.4.6 [The maximum number of Short Term Loans will be 8 per Season and Long Term Loans willbe 2 per Season. lucky green trainers 0 Posted March 29, 2008 imo we gave stoke and bristol 2 good games - make no mistake, they didn''t look worldbeaters - but rode their luck (and our poor finishing more like) to sneak a win and 3 undeserved points. every game is tough as teak - there are no rollovers. thats why a point today would''ve been tops for us. instead, we''re looking around to see whose worse off than us. i''m sure we''ll get the points we need, cos we''re not playing like relegation fodder - we will survive. but less face it - we''re in this posi now cos we made a profit in the jan window - and got in young boys to do a mans job. imo we had a good first 12 who where displaying promotion winning form. bringing the young''uns in did nothing but weaken a thin squad. and now we''re paying the price for this p**s poor management. and forget ''the powder dry'' bollards - i don''t believe roedy sold early in the jan window with the intention of waiting until deadline day to bring in untried and unproven boys. think about - a reckless gamble with our champs status is unfolding before our eyes - cos we couldn''t or wouldn''t pay the going market rate for experienced, proven players - and even if we did match brums valuation for taylor eventually on deadline day - i''m sure brady and the porn kings had great delight in knocking us back.like i''ve said before, if we scrape in on the last day of the season, then hopsfully the message will get through loud and clear to the board that they must be realistic with roedy''s transfer summer budget. they need a kick up the behind to get real!!! shropshire-lad 0 Posted March 29, 2008 I am scared st*tless, it''s my 60''th Birthday in july and I can''t bear the thought of my team being back where they were when I first started supporting them (OK it was 3rd Division South but in my opinion its still the 3rd teir of English Football). Please let''s get through the next 5 games stay in the division and build a team for next saeson. How can a team with the second highest support in the division be in the position we are? Leeds and Forest are down there are we going the same way? It just does not make sense I don''t think sacking the board or the manager is the answer but God knows I wish I knew what it is especially when I see Ips**** seem to keep coming up smelling of roses. Baldyboy 1 Posted March 29, 2008 they defo had 6 loanees in their squad so have broken the laws of the game. no doubt the fa will wimp out again and just fine them instead of docking points. it will be interesting to say the least especially as one of the loan players scored their equaliser. Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Actually Wednesday only need to draw for us to be 3 points above the drop zone. But as Pete says Southampton have a terrible goal difference so realistically it is four points still.

PhatCanary, in attempting to underscore his "A" levels in maths, uses almost thirty exclamation marks confirming, at the same time, his weakness in English grammar, therby confirming your suspicion as to why he ( and I suspect many others on similar points of fact ) has difficulty grasping the point being made. PNE are the team above Blackpool and on 53 points so are safe.Coventry and Barnsley have a game in hand at the moment and Sheffield Wednesday have two. So its not all easy. The teams that are really in it are Southampton and Leicester. Both have no games in hand and Southampton will be effectively two points addrift if you include their goal difference.I have the faith - we will survive and next season Roeder will kick some arse - well either in the league or in our boardroom and then in the league with someone else . . . . . Maybe i should just stick to the supporting of Norwich City quietly and cower in fear as you tear my posts to shreds, God bless you for even allowing us all to share this forum with you both, i will leave, my tail between my legs, a better man for your scathing attack on my education.
