Iwan=legend 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Just wondered if anyone was interested in our team news, seems everyone is more interested in the financial report :)Camp, Drury, Shacks, Dion, Hucks, Earnie, Safs, Hughes, Etuhu, Colin, RobinsonThorney on the bench, thankfully
shyster 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Back to the 4-5-1 then......WHY!!!!!!!!!!! [:@]If Thorne isn''t match fit, Jarvis should be starting up front.

Iwan=legend 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Jarvis has obviously not convinced PG he''s worth a start. Hardly a goal machine, but we''re far more effective at 4 4 2.......

Still no sign of Rossi Jarvis or Spillane.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted December 2, 2006 I really wanted us to keep with 442 and that''s why I wanted The Doc to be fit. Thorne can''t last and Jarvis can''t play as a targetman so hopefully we can stay tight, maybe score a goal, and bring on Thorne for the last 30.
7rew 0 Posted December 2, 2006 just to note that robinson scored the only goal of the match last time we were at the stadium of light.repeat anyone?
Iwan=legend 0 Posted December 2, 2006 PG reckons he quite likes Thorney - but that his fitness is a major prob, so maybe we could get him on for the 2nd half at least?
Iwan=legend 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Would take that right now............well, its a bit early to score, then we''d have to hang on for far too long!

cypruscanary 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Norwich 60% of possession and only one shot on goal, Sunderland 40% and six shots, hope i am wrong law of averages one of them will go in eventually. Somebody tell em you have to shoot to score, lot of good if you have all the possession and lose 1-0, lets hope it changes, perhaps they are just trying to bore Sunderland to sleep and sneak one. YankeeCanary 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Given the music from the Stadium Of Light you almost expect Darth Vader to be brought on as a substitute in short order.

Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I just found out Grant changed the formation. He is a total joke tactically A TOTAL JOKE. He has just yet again cost us possible points with a FLIPPING STUPID tactical change. WHAT A JOKE. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD THIS TINKERMAN IS A JOKE
cypruscanary 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Well I hoped the goal attempts might improve in the second half but they didnt, Norwich 2 attempts in 90 mins and Sunderland 12, I think Norwich were lucky to get none.
Archie 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Citizen Journalist Foghorn, perhaps if you were at the game you would now precisely what was going wrong, not the fact that tinkering meant we lost today. Murphy''s goal was top top drawer. Fine, we werent great but there were decent spells. Also in relation to the statistics of shots. Other than the goal Sunderland had one decent decent effort (great save from Camp at the beginning of the second half). Otherwise neither keeper was troubled. I dont get to too many games but you realise how different it is to the bbc live text service, so give the ''Grant is the antichrist'' thing a break
stroud canary 0 Posted December 2, 2006 So who would you have started with? Jarvis? Not a great option, he choose the right team in the circumstances. Thorne isnt fit enough, Dublins needed at the back. The problem comes from having a tiny squad. We had a devastatingly bad summer in the transfer market which is costing us dear. You cannot blame Grant until he gets some more players to choose from.We just have to hope we can hang in there until January. Southampton and Wolves away will be tricky and Sheff Wed are now the form team, so we have a really tough job until xmas.

Then again Sunderland arent exactly world beaters but reduced us to 3 efforts in 180 minutes of football. I dunno what to think now... And Granty getting wound up in the interview when quizzed over his defensive tactics.
Yellow Rages 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Having only listened on the radio, I have to say it did sound like we were putting ourselves about and working hard.Just a bit worrying that we didn''t create more chances.
