Unfortunately this is going to ruin football (if it hasn't already) and in England unless we implement caps on wages, transfers or something like that have in place in the US it's only thing to get worse. The gulf between the top flight and everyone else is getting worryingly large and unless you've got a lunatic in charge to bankroll an attempt at the top flight with no return you've got no chance

I think limiting squad sizes to 25 players who are on professional contracts (if a player doesn’t make the 25 then he can leave on a free if he chooses) and limiting the amount of players you’re allowed to loan out to 3 in total would ensure the talent is spread more evenly than it is now. It would be easier to implement than a salary cap

Nobody seemed to mind it in the same way as when Manchester United were winning all their Premier League titles, or before then, Liverpool winning all their Division One titles. There may have been (possibly) more competition during those times but Manchester United and Liverpool still won almost everything available.

Having said all that, currently there appears little competition for Manchester City and that cannot be good for elite football in this country in the longer term.

Thing about Man City just imagine a parade of legends that involves Shaun Goater and Paul Dickov alongside Haaland , de Bruyne etc.. The step change In ability of the club legends shows that something unnatural has happened.

Moneycheat Citeh, used to be the team all the true manc football fans would follow now the are just a cheat code.

Spoilt English football, destroyed thier history buying the league and ripped out their collective souls.

The breakaway league needs to be allowed with stuff rules put into place.

Still think anyone playing in the money leagues should lose the right to play for their country.

Make it about football again not money

Yes there has always been richer clubs than others but the playing field was a lot more level. Clubs weren't spending billions more than others. The signings for Man City's defence costing more than Burnley have spent in their entire history can't be a bigger example of the gulf in financial ability and that gulf is getting increasingly large every season. I can't anything like a Leicester happening any longer, it'll be City every year unless they are unlucky with injuries again and the next biggest club has a chance. Everyone else is way off that level, mainly because they just can't afford to have that level of depth in the squad. That's what stopped Arsenal winning it last season.

So where do we go from here? I hear so many people bored of Man City winning the league again. Surely fans of other teams in this country won’t passively let it continue? The rub is the attraction and brand of the PL for the rest of the world. Whilst the Prem continues to attract revenue from overseas it’ll continue to allow the Man City Syndrome to occur. I see no real end to this until there’s enough of a clamour for the galatico clubs to either fk off into their own league or there’s a fairer playing field applied (which won’t happen).

Something needs to change.
When teams can spend more in one window than others in the same League have spent in their entire existence then something is badly wrong.
the Saudi league may actually cause a shift away from the EPL focus, they only need a worldwide TV deal.

Well I would hope that we might beat Burnley away if we ever get promoted again. This hardly guarantees Man City the title and they looked far from convincing against Arsenal last week.

You can forget the ESL that's dead in the water what with the Saudis taking over.

If it offends you so much then don't watch it.

I know quite a few MCFC fans and most of them find a lot of their games boring! One gave up his ST 4 years back because it had stopped being fun. Another seriously considered not going to the CL final even though he qualified for tickets. Oddly it makes their fans, by big club standards, very gracious in defeat on the rare occasions they suffer it. They and Pep don’t allow themselves off days.
