Which player holds the Norwich City record for most appearances in the Football Combination?

By football combination do you just mean league football? Because it must be Keelan, surely?

Football Combination was the reserve league prior to them getting rid of reserve football.

used to be some really good games, not like the mostly bland academy games these days. City v Southampton in the days of Francis Benali was always good for a couple of red cards

No. I am indeed a boomer but I don't remember Dave Stringer ever playing for the reserve team.

Good choice, has to be a keeper.

Yeah actually that makes sense so Hansbury a good shout, maybe Clive Baker?

You have to be of a certain vintage to remember the Football Combination so the question is a toughie for some on here. I thought it might have been Trevor Howard but it isn't so going back into the mists of time I'll make a wild guess.

I used to go a fair bit when I was a youngster - were a couple of ‘regulars’, one called Phil Chapple, I think, seemed to always play but never had a sniff for the first team. But there may well have been others back in the 70s before my time.

How about a little clue, maybe the decade we're looking at?

He played 180 times for the first team but more for the reserves
