TIL 1010 4,751 Posted February 21, 2023 All over Book of Faces this evening and City fans of a certain vintage will know that he was one of the original Barclay Boys. Apparently had a heart attack after suffering for a while with issues surrounding his ticker.

DraytonBoy 155 Posted February 22, 2023 It's the same Bernie P but Patzelt was his real surname, no idea how it got changed to Patterson.
bringbackchippy 51 Posted February 22, 2023 Poor old Bernie, yes he was massive part of our 'Barclay' history. Saw him at a match last season. Remember him going into the Ip**** mob on his own next to away fans, next thing it all opens up there's Bernie going like a windmill in the middle! He used to get involved with the BNP rallies on matchday too, although he was colored! A really character, l will raise a glass for him today. RIP How about have a Bernie Patterson day at the football this season? Should get a good turnout

Couldnt get a job interview under his old name, got one straight after changing it. Edited February 22, 2023 by wcorkcanary
wcorkcanary 4,334 Posted February 22, 2023 My experience of him was when i was a young teenager , though a rough old boy, he was always decent to me and my friends... probably grooming us as future troops 😉. RIP BP BBB.
