👍 agree  , but they are playing a very good team and with Wee Billy conducting the last half hour 👏 they deserved to win . They ( liverpool) put in some nasty tackles as well. Well done Brighton and congratulations  for a MOM Sterling performance from Billy G.🤣😅🙃😉😜

Better team won that, arguably Liverpool incredibly lucky to finish with eleven men as well.

Agreed although I think you are being very generous! Don't think there is any sense of 'arguably' at all. In my humble opinion they could easily have seen three sent off in the last few minutes. Konate shoves a forearm / elbow  into the back of Mac Allister's neck and then finishes with a fiery smack of his hand into said neck! It was a clear 'professional' foul at the least and a Red card. Fabinho was so obviously waiting for said coloured card after his awful 'tackle' it was embarrassing! How could VAR not give that as a Red??!! Then Robertson 'jumps in' with his own assault. The only saving grace for him is that he didn't have his studs up and hit Mac Allister in the leg. Had he done so, the Argie would probably be in hospital now with a fractured leg. Disgraceful exhibition. How satisfying to see the sour faced Scousers at the end as they were dumped out of the Cup. Thank God we've been spared that totally shameful spectacle of booing, whistling, jeering and furious swearing by the 'entitled' Scousers at this years F A Cup Final when the national anthem is played.

They should have finished the game with 9 men!

Yes > I think you are more correct  I was a bit generous. Fabinho was as you say waiting for the red card. I think fabinho got the wrong man . HE was looking for Billy G as payback for the nutmeg 😃🤣😉😊 gilmour inflicted on him two seasons ago. These Brazilians have long memories.  We'll done Brighton.

Brighton are a good side so I'm not sure how Liverpool were supposed to win?

Or indeed, what any of this has to do with a forum headed Norwich City.

Maybe beacause it's football related. Any reason you've posted this critique on my thread and say not the Aberdeen thread, the FA cup thread, the Stoke thread, the Maddison thread, the Portman road thread..

Mainly because most of those have at least some relationship to Norwich or the teams they are playing, whereas this one is absolutely nothing to do with us.

The two tackles, Konate on MacAllister and Fabinho on Fergusson, were awful, more relevant in the 1980's.  As was the moment Trent simply ran at Mitoma without looking at the ball as he knew he was out of position, and Mitoma was too good for him.  It is amazing to look back on the critercism Southgate got for not picking trent, a few months later it looks like he knew what he was doing.

Indeed. How the hell VAR did not tell the Ref to send Fabinho off I really don't know. The lad would not have made any protest. His whole body language told the watching audience he knew he was off (or should have been)! The Konate one was a violent foul from behind with zero attempt to win the ball. I used to be sceptical of the claims that the officials 'favoured the big clubs' but yesterday was the last straw. I listened to much of the White and Jordan show on Talk Sport this morning foolishly anticipating those incidents would have been examined in detail but nothing was said! Now if I missed it then I apologise. Even many Scousers on their main fans forum were openly admitting they could have had two red cards. The footballing media should be all over this but, because the perpetrators were Liverpool, then the whole thing is swept conveniently under the ..........'never our fault' carpet! This is all before we mention the Robertson jumping in on MacAllister 'challenge' as well! The whole thing was deeply unpleasant to watch.

Yes, you're right about the media shyness on this, but wouldn't expert anything else from Talk****e. As I've said above, very reminiscent of the Liverpool of the 70's and 80's where they often resorted to outright thuggery if they were having a bad day.

The other strange refereeing decision yesterday was in the Wrexham v Sheff Utd match where Jebbison got sent off after an intervention by the 4th official. To say it was a mystery why would be understating things. Was it the presence of a Hollywood film star owner, I wonder, ensuring the media passed on a message to the 4th official to even things up a bit, so the script was performed correctly? 😉😂

Against Brighton?

Not sure "should have won" is where I'd put it. Salah missed a couple of guilt edged chances that he has scored with his eyes shut in the past. A bit like Pukki earlier this season.

The goal right at the end was superbly taken though.
