After a chunk of time to reflect……

In general I came to that conclusion a while back, unfortunately while we are in or around the play offs I don’t think there’s much hope of that happening.

I think the games over the next 3/4 weeks are very important for Smith. He publicly said he wanted to see more from his squad prior to the break or as he described it “being a different animal”. If we get more of the same it doesn’t really say a whole lot for his coaching ability.

It’ll be interesting if we get a bit of a tonking on Saturday if the trigger will be pulled! Can’t see it as really he should have gone pre break and Robins bought in in my opinion, but hey I’m just an armchair supporter these days so my view is not worth a jot.

Yeah its not happening halfway through the season when the clubs in financial issues already, nevermind the 'not a sacking club' mentality

Maybe at the end of the season he might get the boot but if you think he's being fired right now you need to wake up and smell Delias prime Colombian grade a

Totally committed to making sure his legacy is secured as being our worst manager ever and making sure Stuart Webber and the rest of his loser board never work again once ousted.

Smith is 1 year into a 2.5 year contract, we're not talking Guardiola and Klopp money here.

The decision to sack or endure Smith will be also down to other factors.

Wonderful news, wine chilled?

The short duration of flight time means that maybe they'll  just quaff a quattro of snifters and possibly some nibbles an' stuff....

Tonight is the biggy while watching the Dutch v Argentine's....a veritable feast of roast suckling pig and lashings of mead....

The fresh outside air whilst watching the game at the Swansea theatre of screams will hopefully clear their heads....

Dunno what their arrangements are for them to watch the England game?....Anyway the jet's just left for Wales....Safe trip!...Toodle pip!...

All the pro-Smith's who are clinging to the fact we're hanging onto a top 6 place soon won't be able to even point to that.

Can see us being 10th or 11th in 2 or 3 weeks time

Imagine being pro-Smith 😂😂

Swansea away, Blackburn at home, Luton away and Reading at home.

A difficult set of fixtures but one's we've got the players capable of winning. Considering we didn't hear a single "Dean Smith Out" chant pre-world-cup-break, it's a little hard to tell how much patience the fans in general will have after a break. Away from home the fans have been really good, so I'm sure that'll continue Saturday. Here's hoping for a good performance.

This thread is a depressing read. Usually after a longish break, everyone's chomping at the bit for the restart. But this thread reads exactly like the threads on here immediately before the break.

We really need the next few games to excite us and give us some hope or this season is over. What's worse, it seems to be getting closer and closer to people not really caring if it is.

I wouldn't take this forum as an excellent example of the general fanbase. Most I speak to in person who actually go to games are excited for live football to be back.

Considering we've only beaten one top 10 side all season.. the next 5 games vs swansea blackburn luton reading and watford dont bode well.

People have seen through the fraud that dean smith is.

To have allowed him this last month was criminal when it was the perfect time to change manager.

But having given him that time , he really has no excuses now. He needs to come out of the blocks flying , starting tomorrow, anything less will see us drop to mid table...and he must surely go
