cambridgeshire canary 6,801 Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) "Liam Gibbs will be seeing a specialist following his injury on Saturday. The first look isn’t as bad as we feared. Hayden is on the grass running, which is pleasing. There are no ill effects from his surgery. We’ve got Sara up to speed now and he wants to make his full debut in the Championship. It’s a competitive squad. Milot expects more of himself and is working hard at that. We’ll help him do that, he's an important member of the squad. Nuff Said 5,178 Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) “Milot expects more of himself and is working hard at that.” Could this sound more like a school report? Hugill: “Jordan is a popular boy and occasionally can work hard with good results, but needs to apply himself consistently.” Aarons:”We expect great things from Max.” Cantwell: “Todd works well when he applies himself but is too easily distracted by his circle of friends.” Edited August 29, 2022 by Nuff Said 1
Mr Apples 1,331 Posted August 29, 2022 Kenny McLean "Tries hard and is loved by all his classmates, has a promising future supervising others by pointing and shouting. Could work well with ex-pupil, P. Grant". Apples
Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,243 Posted August 29, 2022 ‘Dean has begun to settle into his role as Head Boy here. It was difficult for him to follow Daniel who was so popular and very much understood the ethos of the school here. However Dean has been Head boy at lots of different schools and knows the basics well. I hope his year here goes well before he inevitably moves to pastures new’. Worthy Nigelton 1,066 Posted August 29, 2022 Sam is a pleasure to teach and always applies himself. The only negative is his attendance record. 1

Your comments on Todd I mean 😅 ...those kinds of comments were all over my secondary school end of term reports - for years. As well as "his thoughts are ahead of his pen". I used to fantasise that it meant I was a visionary but actually it was about my appalling handwriting. 1
TheGunnShow 6,006 Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) My art teacher gave me the funniest report I think I've ever seen or heard anyone get. Mind you, I was c-rap at art. "Most of the great artistic advances of the last five hundred years appear to have eluded TGS. He has been very patient of my repeated explanations but prefers to remain in his own world of flat people in formless space". RIP, Dr. DeMaine. May your pencil in the afterlife remain as sharp as your wit. Edited August 29, 2022 by TheGunnShow 1
cornish sam 965 Posted August 29, 2022 My son's school report had the following "as a 9 year old I think Cornish jnr would be a brilliant best friend, unfortunately I have to teach him". 1
Robert N. LiM 4,493 Posted August 29, 2022 Enjoying these school reports very much. Joking aside, I thought Smith's comments in the press conference were pretty good. He seems to be working hard at relationships with players, which is going to be very important if we're to keep this large squad happy. He obviously doesn't have Farke's level of charisma, but perhaps he's less likely to fall out with players? https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/canaries-ncfc-dean-smith-birmingham-press-conference-rashica-9239468
Gordon Bennett 789 Posted August 29, 2022 Sounds like Kenny at left back and Sara in midfield for tomorrow to me. Imagine Onel will drop to the bench possibly for Todd. Maybe Pukki in for somebody and Sargent wide to get them both in the eleven, and Ramsey must be pushing for a start too. Great to have such competition for places and a strong bench
Van wink 2,994 Posted August 29, 2022 “Onel is very direct but easily distracted if he passes a shop” “Grant works hard and is big for his age, must apply himself to his English grammar if he is ever to be understood” “Todd is a nice lad but does seem to fall over a lot, will go a long way but in a horizontal direction.”

Graham Paddons Beard 2,450 Posted August 29, 2022 I once had - “during English , GPB becomes an accomplished mathematician, and vice versa” I never really worked it out , but assume it wasn’t a compliment. 😂
Barham Blitz 661 Posted August 29, 2022 My PE report (largely based on me playing school football) once read "Seemingly prefers the role of sweeper but is prepared to move upfield as well. His air of detachment is in my book an asset ..." I am still not entirely sure whether this is a compliment or not either.

I think the most amazing thing here is that a PE teacher used the term ‘air of detachment’
