Who’s throwing their hat in the ring

We have many finance and coaching experts on here. As long as they don’t freeze at the interview the jobs guaranteed. It would have to be a 3 hour week mind due to commitments on this message board.

I've racked up many thousands of hours on Football Manager over the last 15 years or so, so surely I'm a shoo-in?

On FM you buy in scouts from other clubs based on their track record. A bit surprising we're having to advertise for this role, and not head hunting.

1. Don't judge what happens in real life against Football Manager

2. You don't sign scouts from other clubs based on their track record in FM, you sign them based on their attributes (judging player potential and judging player ability).

Precisely. It's also worth factoring in their existing knowledge; making sure you have scouts with full knowledge of Argentina and Brazil is a must!

Not sure how to answer this one. Where's the 'Send assistant' button?

Don't forget spoken languages/adaptability and determination. Get some French guys in to scout West Africa and you'll find some bangers.

Child - I've been playing since the 1990s!

The first Football Manager was only released in 2004 😉

But I too have been playing others since the 90s, I cut my teeth with Player Manager 98 before moving onto LMA Manager on the PlayStation as a kid.

My first must have been Championship Manager 4, so 2003. I would have been around 11 years old. Then the first football manager came out a year later and I was hooked.

Who’s nominating who then from this wonderful board? One vote each and must be for the good of the club.

I've convinced Emi to stay despite interest from bigger clubs on my latest save,  do I get your vote?

I could be persuaded, it will mean less time on here you know but you’ll get an official club blazer.

That's about 95% of hopefuls that needn't bother applying....

I'm with you badger, I still remember printing out the seasons results when both emile heskey and Jürgen klinsmann scored 50 goals a piece and I won every match in the season. Think that was champ man 93/94

There were different versions of the same thing - Championship Manager is one I remember - I have probably still got most of them up in my loft somewhere* (hoarder😃)

*Unless my wife got to them (minimalist )
