Indy 3,300 Posted March 11, 2020 In line with guidance, as said I believe the UK are trying to carry on with normal life as possible for the time being. If you are in the vulnerable group I would suggest to consider staying at home and listening to it on the radio. You will know what’s best for each of you. Above all else try and be safe which ever decisions you make.

Indy 3,300 Posted March 11, 2020 Maybe if you want to go, get a hazmat suit? I don’t understand why you older guys need to be told not to go! Your option at your risk guys.....you all know the information posted.....👍
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted March 11, 2020 I did say that we in this country would not accept the type of restrictions imposed by other countries. Nobody has the courage to actually say something precise and effective. They should choose between (a) cancel the games (b) play behind closed doors (c) carry on as normal. The statement, same as every other club has been told to issue, does not give advice, it says we are leaving it up to you.
Capt. Pants 4,234 Posted March 11, 2020 (edited) Given Norfolk is yet to confirm anyone has tested positive the Southampton game is probably still low risk and I look forward to seeing the level of hygiene in the Upper Barclay bogs and surrounding area. 3000 fans from Madrid, one of the most heavily infected areas in Spain will ensure the North West leads the way in contaminating the rest of us so I'm thinking very seriously about not going to the Man U game. First Wazzock 902 Posted March 11, 2020 ***** BREAKING NEWS! ***** Sadly news has just reached us saying that the first member of this group has sadly died because of the Coronavirus. In his house they found 500 cans of assorted food, 100kg of pasta, 75kg of rice, 200 toilet rolls and 30L of hand sanitiser which he had panic bought from Aldi “just in case!” The whole lot collapsed and buried the daft b*st*rd!

But then again there were about Brexit. Something else I didn't have a clue about and it turned out neither did the posters. The woman in boots (shoes) yesterday advised me "don't touch anything". The woman in boots (Crocs) today said that was silly and to "wear gloves".
Christoph Stiepermann 1,135 Posted March 11, 2020 Yeah, the virus transmits through the air via breathing/coughing/sneezing etc so honestly, feel free to shake hands and hug the guy next to you if we score in spite of this advice, won't make the blind bit of difference, although you might catch some other germs. You can bring all the hand sanitiser and tissues you want, if there are confirmed cases in Norfolk by Saturday you'll be taking a risk regardless of your or others hygiene habits. Pugin 601 Posted March 11, 2020 I think we need to remember that the country has given control to a cabale of 'born to rule' Old Etonians who have battled their way to power in order to protect the interests of the banks and financial institutions in the belief that the country exists largely to enable wealth and power to remain in their hands. It's not exactly within their mindset to take measures in the interests of the health or wellbeing of the proletariat, unless they can see a tangible benefit in doing so. Over the next three months we will see the NHS put under intolerable and unbearable pressure. And yet the government is happy to take a laissez-faire approach. I’m sorry but if you all feel like that then take control yourself! If you think we should be in lockdown like Italy, then do so! Why do you have to wait to be told? keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted March 11, 2020 I don’t understand your point Keelan, you have a brain and know your own risk, it’s up to you guys to decide. Its as I said. You are making my point for me. In this country it is "no-one is telling me about the risk, I'll decide that". Anfield full tonight. PSG game behind closed doors. The experts and the WHO made statements today that seemed pretty obvious. Behind closed doors is the first resort. The games could all be televised.
Mello Yello 2,293 Posted March 11, 2020 John Travolta was hospitalized for suspected COVID-19, he had chills they were multiplying and he was losing control. I also heard that he was misdiagnosed, he just had Saturday Night Fever......(the real good news is that he's Staying Alive)

Taking some of the best principles from both extremes. 'A little from Column A, and a little from Column B' - Homer Simpson. So, politically, no one to vote for. Probably have most respect for Andy Burnham who is a died-in-the-wool Blairite, so no one would call him a Socialist. (Find his address to the grieving crowds at Anfield, and you too will be converted).

crispeduk 282 Posted March 11, 2020 To protect vulnerable groups I suggest everyone under 68 should be denied admittance. Or maybes we could take it in turns – old farts this week, newbies next week (counts on fingers how many games to Cup Final).

Pugin 601 Posted March 11, 2020 Just now, Darth Canary1 said: Love that man pugin Burnham is an old fashioned conscience politician, a man of the people, an honest and caring human being. The speech at Anfield was made before the tide had turned in favour of the Justice for the 96 people. He is, of course, a football man, an Everton fan who was fondly received at Anfield and who is now loved and revered as Mayor of Manchester. ( I know what you are thinking, he's their Kenny Maclean!) Needless to say, Burnham wants nothing to do with the den of iniquity and ineptitude which is Westminster. He steered a million miles wide of Corbyn and Macdonald. Putting him up against Boris Johnson would expose the impostor. But it ain't gonna happen, is it, as there is no centralist political movement in the country. Sad times.
