GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted May 20, 2019 ...bad appointment based on very little evidence rhat he can manage at that level.....Brighton have to be a club that we must target to finish above next season

Potter’s Ostersund team beat Arsenal and Galatasary in the Europa League so he’s had more experience at that level than Farke... Think he’ll be fine and Brighton will be much improved next season.
Petriix 3,218 Posted May 20, 2019 (edited) If Potter follows Farke's precedent then Brighton will probably struggle initially before coming good in the second season. They might well finish below us in their transition period. Edited May 20, 2019 by Petriix

He will have to change a culture instigated by Hughton - and that will not be easy in the pressure cooker of the PL. Imo he will struggle to get his ways across in time to make enough of a difference. The Brighton players will have to adapt to quick passing football not so easy as Swansea found this season - so the club will be in transition next season and as such will quite likely struggle. Its not the europa league that he'll be operating in....and farke has also faced arsenal I'm sure we'll be a side Brighton will be looking to finish above too

At least they’ve got a far more exciting manager now though 👍🏻

Darth Canary1 92 Posted May 20, 2019 Good appointment for them. They'll play better football so the fans will be happier. Should they go down which I think they would of been nailed on to do under Hughton anyway, they'll be well placed to come straight back up.
Ian 1,211 Posted May 20, 2019 Good appointment all round, he improved Swansea's style of play substantially - can see him doing a good job if the squad buy into it.
splendidrush 720 Posted May 20, 2019 Feel sorry for Swansea fans, I think they could have done well next season, now they have to start again.

Icecream Snow 777 Posted May 21, 2019 Think he'll do well for them, especially if they can add a few to the squad.
