I believe it was Hemingway who wrote...The coward dies a thousand times..a brave man only once. Or words to that effect. As we know, Cadet Bonespurs aint no brave man.

He's the bravest man Farage has ever met. Are you seriously doubting Nigel's judgement??? tut tut!

Attention!  The little man behind the green curtain has spoken ...

Little man.jpg

A one-man performance of the Wizard of Oz. If he only had a brain, a heart, courage. And now he's melting, oh what a world.

Oh dear

It’s getting wild outside the elections department in Arizona's Maricopa County. Biden currently leads in the state by 1.3%, with 93% of votes counted - a surprising development in a state which has traditionally voted Republican in presidential elections.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who runs the right-wing conspiracy theory website Infowars, is here leading the crowd in chants of “1776!” and “Pelosi Burn in Hell!” Across the street, another group sings the US National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.

Arizona is an “open carry” state, which means you can carry guns in public. Many people here are armed. Heavily armed.

The protests have been rolling here for days and growing. Many of the protest leaders here are from other states, like Jones and Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA, a conservative student group.

A lone Biden supporter with a Biden/Harris sign walked through the crowd to shouts and boos. Women shouted “give him a hug” and urged the crowd to stay peaceful.

The crowd has been peaceful - although poll workers have had to be escorted into and out of work to stay safe from jeering crowds.

Trump's legal argument summarized....

Trump possibly to speak after Biden. Please do the right thing Donald

The mood at the White House today has been sombre, several Trump officials have told CBS News, the BBC's partner in the US.

Some of the president's aides haven't shown up to work today, and the atmosphere is "very empty", says CBS.

Our own reporter at the scene, Tara McKelvey, has had a similar experience.

"A lot of the desks are empty. It feels spooky. Some of the staffers are outside the White House, talking privately on their mobile phones and walking around," she says.

While Trump has fired off tweets, promising a legal challenge to ensure he is re-elected, aides say he may make another address to the nation again tonight.

They say the chances that he will give a televised address will go up if Biden speaks tonight, as his campaign has signalled he may do.

I'll avoid the Hitler in Berlin bunker analogy, and stick with the rats and sinking ship. Who in the administration most responsible for locking children in cages and the inherent racism and xenophobia is going to go down with him, and who will slink off into the sunset hoping to come back later..... Jared and Ivanka, Steven Miller, RNC Char Rhona McDaniel, Kelly Anne Conway, Ch. Staff Mick Mulvaney, EPA Dir Andrew Wheeler, Sec State Mike Pompeo, Sec H.Sec Chad Wolf, Att Gen William Barr, VP Mike Pence?

Will that New York Mayor guy be running back to the ship, or stopping off to do a deal with the enemy.

The evidence for the existence of God is mounting up. And Meadows was at the election night "party" attended by all the Trumps. Does anyone know if cocaine addiction makes one more vulnerable to Covid? Praying for Eric!

I just watched 10 minutes of Fox news to see what it was like. Goebbels would be proud of propaganda like that.

But even so, you're right, there is a different messaging coming out of the Murdoch outfits, which frankly spells the end for any kind of legal challenges etc.

Wall Street Journal saying Trump's legacy will be damaged if he fails to accept the legitimate defeat.

Fox saying "If and when Trump loses"

And one guy on Fox going totally rogue, in an incredible moment.

😂 Yes indeed, but come on Herman - be fair, for the Daily Mail to be only 25 years behind the times represents real progress for them.

Mind you, I reckon it will still come as quite a shock to many of their readers when they catch up with the news that Thatcher really has given Hong Kong back to China - I imagine the Mail could be leading with that story quite soon now 🤣

True, but then they can perk up the spirits of their readers with the first reports of the gallant slaughter of uppity black people at Rorke"s Drift...
