lappinitup 629 Posted August 9, 2015 From the FSF (Football Supporters Federation)........"Fans from across the country will make their anger at ticket prices known with a weekend of action set to take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October. Supporters’ groups from every top-flight club are set to take part along with many from the Football League and beyond. Match-goers will be highlighting the cost of match-tickets and call on clubs to cut ticket prices."www.fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/match-day-protests-over-pricesWe all know football is too expensive and as we are at home to Leicester that weekend, I''m looking forward to hearing further details. Dr. Ink 0 Posted August 9, 2015 I like the high prices. Keeps some of the riff-raff out.
Peanuts 150 Posted August 9, 2015 Doubt there''ll be much sympathy on here. Definitely an "I''m all right Jack" attitude from the majority of season ticket holders that frequent this board.
Dr. Ink 0 Posted August 9, 2015 Yeah, I''m alright Jack. Quite happy to pay the money for 5-6 away games each season, as well as the 2x season tickets I hold. With cheaper tickets, we''d need a bigger stadium as demand would outstrip supply by far. Great in the ideal world (or Tom C''s) world, but it''s not going to happen. Simple business model of supply and demand. Any half hearted protest about prices will just be a joke. As long as people want to go and watch football, enough will be willing to pay the current prices. Those who can''t afford it, should watch on TV / stream, or go and watch some lower leagues stuff.Sorry but this is Premier League with premier prices. Highland Canary 76 Posted August 9, 2015 Football is now a luxury good. It''s market pricing reflects this status. If, and until, a government is elected with an ideology of intervening in markets this will not change. The recent election result demonstrated that is not the prevailing view. dibbler 0 Posted August 9, 2015 I do get the feeling that McNally thinks we earn the same as in London (Fulham) and is why they charge such high ticket prices or is the board just mugging off fans?
Crispy 4 Posted August 10, 2015 The board isn''t muggin off fans. If the price was too steep then there would be empty seats ... There are not. Sure we would love a cheaper tickets, but the we would need more seats, but for that we would need a new stadium, but for that we need more money .... See the problem here ? Highland Canary 76 Posted August 10, 2015 Is it greed or simply free-market capitalism?

Highland Canary 76 Posted August 10, 2015 You can certainly make that case Herman. However, the post-election thread on this board was predominantly in favour of such a free-market approach.
