Alex Neil is also getting frustrated

Recommended Posts

Interesting article coming out this evening saying that he is getting frustrated by the lack of signings.

Clearly there is something going badly wrong at the club.

Something has to give and give soon if we have any chance of staying up!

The article is already out there ,Alex Neil does say he is frustrated at the lack of signings and would have liked his business done by now . He does say the hold ups are not down to us but it does make you wonder how much later they are going to leave it .

Bringing in a new head of player recruitment during the key point for recruiting players does seem a bit odd; particularly because when he was at Burnley he seemed to be the head of player non-recruitment.

Quotes from Alex Neil saying he''s frustrated = 0.

"You always want to do business by this stage but there''s certainly reasons behind us not having done business and I''d go as far as saying the reasons behind that aren''t due to us,"

That is the only quote in the article - absolutely suggesting that it is not us but the sides we''re dealing with. You have to go some to suggest he is frustrated by our ''side'' of things.

This is what he is ''reported'' to have said;"You always want to do business by this stage but there''s certainly

reasons behind us not having done business and I''d go as far as saying

the reasons behind that aren''t due to us," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. He must have said it in a really whiny voice and stamped his feet.

And another poster looking to take people to task......nope Neil wasn''t quoted as saying it directly but it was implied as the point of the article!

What''s the difference?

I make it 64 transfers in at the 20 Premier League clubs so far this summer. An average of 3.2 per club, so we are below the average, but not by that much. Four clubs have signed fewer players than us, and three only as many. The other two promoted clubs have signed 11 between them, which may reflect being promoted three weeks before us, and the realisation that their squads need more work than ours.

What''s the difference?
Maybe if the op wasn''t Waveney trying to shitstir then people wouldn''t take him to task. That''s the feckin difference.

You can imply what you want but if he didn''t say it then he''s not frustrated.

Is this not a discussion forum? Someone comes here using a quote to say that ''there is something going badly wrong at the club'' and we aren''t supposed/allowed to disagree?

Well I''m not against anyone commenting whatever their agenda or background.

Simple fact is most of us supporters would have liked to seen a couple defenders signed by now.

My concern in the comment by Neil is that the club stopped the latest transfer at the last minute so I''m not entirely convinced it''s just other clubs not playing ball.

Still only a judgement on what little we know, still 4 weeks to kick off.

When your manager goes public with his frustrations you know all is not well behind the scenes

A bit like what happened near the end of Paul Lamberts time..

Will McNasty never learn

So as he hasn''t then all is well.

No smoke without fire Squit.

Same situation with Lambert things started leaking out that he was unhappy the happy clappers on here dismissed it and look what happened

Take my word the crisis at the Carra is going from bad to catastrophic

There''s no fire, there''s no smoke. If anyone is foolish enough to take you word then they''re an idiot.

Arh that''s where your wrong. This isn''t a place to have an opinion. You will Learn. You are always wrong. Well that''s what people on here have you believe.

And whatever you do do not debate anything. This isn''t the place to debate anything NCFC

I highly doubt that Neil would come out to the press with any sort of frustration if there was something wrong behind the scenes, I don''t see him as that sort of type.

Stiflers is spot on here I''m afraid:

We do have previous ''form'' with both Worthington and Lambert after all.

With both managers ambition was there at Board level - but dried up totally on us reaching the summit.

Worthy being an ex-defender himself never had too much ambition anyway, Lambert however used the Burnley job down in the Ch''ship as his vehicle for showing initial dissent and AN (worryingly) is warming up with this statement today.

The truth, whether you choose to accept it or not is that we will NEVER become an established PL club with Smith & Jones at the helm. "Prudence with ambition" or whatever their crass ''contradiction in terms'' slogan under Worthy was set out their stall perfectly.

Nothing''s changed as far as I can see.

I t seems to me that AN is simply saying that he and McNally are working professionally to bring players in but others are simply playing games. Have a look at what he had to say about Steve Bruce.

...and Stiflers Mom ( or any other name she uses ) was called up to to the top of Mount Sinai because the storm clouds were green and yellow. After some considerable time of beating the bushes and gathering wet leaves, Mom descends from the mountain with a few commandments, not the least of which are:

- I am the smoke

- I am the fire

- and I am the bloody petrol
Ruthers you have called it right I am afraid.

I am not sure how much longer the happy clappers can hide the fact we have issues
No one was complaining about a lack of ambition when we spunked £8.5m on an international striker who turned out to be a bag of spanners. I''d rather we picked our signings very carefully, to complement the existing group of players who seem to be playing extremely well for Neil. If we don''t have any more signings by the end of July I would be concerned. Until then, why not go on holiday or something? Get off the internet, go to the seaside or something. It''ll do you a power of good.
