  1. Jambono, OK, but you can also catch covid from a vaccinated person. Personally I would prefer the message from the powers that be was more along the lines, eat healthily, take daily (decent) vitamin supplements and build your own immune system, and if necessary supply them foc such as they do with tests. BTW, medical professionals have got it wrong in the past, now we can all say but we are so much more advanced now, which they probably said then but in hindsight admitted they were wrong. History does have a tendency to repeat itself😥
  2. Your choice Jambono, and there lies the rub I guess, it's all about freedom of choice. BTW, there is plenty of informed opinion (scientists, etc) which is not faceless or unnamed if you really want to research, which your heart surgeon may have done. The BBC currently has an article stating a booster provides 85% protection against severe omicron, whooped, as far as I can see not having a booster also provides 85% protection from severe omicron, in fact the very same BBC state omicron is like a bad cold, go figure🤔🤔
  3. Somewhat judgemental Jambono, I should imagine your heart surgeon had read (and researched) and made an informed decision.
  4. Or seasonal flu is doing the rounds?
  5. Sitting above the tunnel it appeared to me that he high fived or shook hands with a few including Smith because they instigated it, he then went down the tunnel and ripped off his head band. I really couldn't tell whether he was; being petulant, angry, disappointed or frustrated, but his demeanour, actions and facial expression certainly gave me the impression he was not happy about something, which could be a combination of things?
  6. Hi Nuff Said, Fundamentally I agree with pretty much all you have said and like you I keep an open mind. I do have my concerns and I think the Swiss vote(s) this weekend will be interesting, it appears they will vote to force the government to spend more on recruiting nurses, etc and infrastructure (hospitals), whilst sailing close to the wind on scrapping all restrictions, maybe the people are revolting, and make of that what you will!!
  7. Nuff Said, Thanks for you reply, however I think you may be over thinking my posts. In order; Have never said vaccines do not work, however having done some research into the topic I do feel they may not be the panacea some think they are. Occam's razor, as you said tends to be but not always. Not all pharmas have run at not for profit and I do not think world governments have colluded. Most of them couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery, let alone collude to such an extent, however, it is possible they are being herded like sheep? Never said vaccines are ineffective. Not attempting to change anyone's mind, just commenting on information I came across. OTBC Are you there tomorrow👍
  8. Hi Thumbbass, I fully understand there are lies, damn lies, etc. and of course the elder generation are more likely to have been double jabbed therefore are more likely to die due to their age and this perhaps skews the figures, however I found it interesting. I would much rather this type of information was made public with explanations as to why this is the case than the data be 'swept under the carpet'. I suspect the age data is within the report and if someone has the time and will to interpret it I would be interested to see the results. Unfortunately although I may have the will, I do not have the time, well I have as much time in a day as anyone else, I just choose to use it differently, which may actually be a true test and reflection of my will I guess!!!
  9. Nuff Said, I have lost my link to the data requested, however whilst conducting some research I came across the following, https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/datasets/deathsbyvaccinationstatusengland What is interesting from this data is that in terms of deaths involving covid, it appears you are less likely (as a %) to die if you are unvaccinated. If we take weeks 37 and 38 as examples (the last 2 weeks data available and I haven’t compared all the other weeks), and assuming I am understanding the data correctly, then the number of deaths involving covid of unvaccinated people represents 0.00151% and 0.00124% respectively of the unvaccinated population, (e.g. week 38 = 95 from 7,637,511), whereas the number of deaths involving covid of vaccinated people represents 0.00161 and 0.0015 respectively of the vaccinated population. (e.g. week 38 = 444 from 29,509,257), Therefore there is a between 6% and 20% greater risk of dying with covid if you have been double vaccinated than if you are unvaccinated. Makes you wonder doesn’t it, and, assuming my maths and understanding are correct, why is this phenomena not reported in the media? For the purposes of this exercise and in the interest of time I have ignored the 1st Dose data, furthermore this data is from 1st Jan through 24th Sept 2021, I am currently unable to find data for October and November, if it even exists?
  10. Nuff Said, The current trend is only approx 1 in 3 covid hospitalizations are unvaccinated and apparently this figure is falling. Although this may not be a surprise considering circa 90% are vaccinated, let's face it, if we had 100% vaccinated, 100% of covid hospitalizations would be vaccinate.
  11. As Shakespeare wrote, "Nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it so", depends on your individual thinking then, but remember your brain will always strives to prove you right, it is hard wired to do so. For me, my thinking is, probably as good as we could realistically get.
  12. LDC, Again some big assumptions and I feel you may be wrong, but he ho, that's life.
  13. Some big assumptions there LDC, maybe, just maybe, SW thought more harm would have been done by leaving DF in place, and let's remember the players were given time off until today anyway. Hypothetical, if one of my staff was creating a disruption (for whatever reason) and I decided they had to go, would I leave them in place to cause more disruption or would I get rid by the end of the day and worry about recruiting thereafter. I would get rid asap and I would think you would too.
  14. Unless I have missed something, is it possible Kabak was obeying instructions and it was at Farke's behest that he travelled with the ball??
  15. LDC, I am not suggesting it would be easy, however my overall point is that we need to change something. Currently, we cannot change the players, we could change their mindset, however I see no evidence of any positive proactive action there (although the club may be doing something, I suspect they are not). We can change team selection to at least include some creative players, because let's face it, we are creating nothing but the stench of desperation at the moment. This imo would require DF to include Cantwell and Gilmour and if he refuses to do so then I'm afraid, again imo, we should change him. Personally I would take a bold step and play Kabak, Hanley and Omobamidele as a back three with Sorensen in a sweeping/protective role directly in front of them, then Aarons, Normann and Rashica ahead of him, then Cantwell and Gilmour, then Pukki, in effect a 3 1 3 2 1. What's to lose other than a game of football, which we are reasonably good at already.
  16. LDC, I quote Mr Winston Churchill "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often"
  17. Even if you agree, perhaps the question should be why, given his performances elsewhere?
  18. Hogesar, I agree with all you have said, however it doesn't negate my point about how the brain works and if managers really understood this they could get even more from their players. To give what I say some gravitas, I have worked with players in the past and they (and I) saw tangible improvements.
  19. Hogesar, The problem is he said it and they would have probably read it or heard it. It's a bit like the Judge saying "The jury will disregard the last remark", oh yeah, well how are they going to do that then. Lawyers know this, that is why they say these things in the first place. He may well say something else in the dressing room, but, the players are now hearing mixed messages and what we saw yesterday is probably a result of that. How often do we hear managers say (before a game) it's a tough place to play? The brain is hard wired to prove itself correct, so, do away with any negative input, do away with the possibility it may be proving negativity correct. Is all this easy, no, that is why Sports Psychologists specialise in mindset management and Football Managers do not, unless they are specifically trained to do so, and based on what I see and hear our manager is not.
  20. Definitely need to book for Friday night, may see you in there👍
