  1. " The concern is that he doesn''t seem too good at controlling his box. I had thought this before yesterday. Let''s hope he improves with confidence. Believe you me. I want to rate him. His role will be important to us for a while." Agreed. It''s been pretty obvious that we really miss Ruddy, and doubly unfortunate that when we need the defence to be the strongest part of our team, we''ve lost him. So I wouldn''t be suprised to see another keeper come in during the window, plus of course some additional options up front.
  2. Well that appointment went well then.
  3. Sticking with my trusty Early November season''s scores predictions - A Norwich v Chelsea ( 2 - 3 ) H Arsenal v West Ham ( 3 - 0 ) H Villa v Spurs ( 2 - 1 ) H Everton v Wigan ( 2 - 0 ) H Fulham v Soton ( 2 - 0 ) H Man U v Newcastle ( 2 - 0 ) H QPR v West Brom ( 2 - 0 ) H Reading v Swansea ( 1 - 0 ) H Stoke v Liverpool ( 1 - 0 ) H Sunderland v Man City ( 1 - 0 ) Couple of those sound crazy, but Ill stick with these... :-)
  4. " Kim Ojo, who is looking to be sold this January. Top scorer in Norway .." Great shout Militant ; he''ll do nicely. Already wears the colors and scored against Chelskie apparently :-) http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/norsk/1-divisjon/artikkel.php?artid=10017268
  5. " Lazy Lump off > Jackson on Lets smash and grab on the counter attack ! " Wouldn''t be too suprised to see Jackson and Kane on for Morro and Hoolahan.
  6. I''ll stay with the prediction I made a few weeks ago A West Brom v Norwich 1 - 2 Along with H Chelsea v Villa 2 - 1 H Liverpool v Fulham 3 - 1 H Man City v Reading 3 - 1 H Newcastle v QPR 3 - 1 H Soton v Sunderland 2 - 0 H Spurs v Stoke 1 - 0 A Swansea V Man U 2 - 3 H West Ham v Everton 3 - 2 A Wigan v Arsenal 3 - 1
  7. " I''d say it''ll be a 2-1 Sunderland Déjà vu " Seems like you were on the money there R.W.
  8. Moving quickly on from tonights "performace" H City v Wigan (3-0) H Liverpool v Villa (3-0) H Man Utd v Sunderland (2-0) A Newcastle v Man City (1-2) D QPR v Fulham (1-1) H Stoke v Everton (2-1) H Spurs v Swansea (3-1) D West Brom v West Ham (2-2) D Reading v Arsenal (2-2)
  9. Three City players in Garth Crook''s team of the week. Bassong, Whittaker and Snodgrass...
  10. Manage a "big" club - like Man Utd, Everton - or maybe Swansea.
  11. "It was a great game - but not defensively perfect " I thought it showed how much we miss the presence of Turner / Bennett (and of course Ruddy) yesterday, and why Barnett is probably on his way in January. Martin did a decent enough job at center back, but it''s clear we have stepped up from last season''s quality in that position - so we reverted to last''s year''s defensive fagility. But no shame there on Martin, it''s not his best position.
  12. During the game intro they also said Norwich were unchanged from Sunderland, and our run of games was based on a settled back four - I guess Ruddy out and 3rd center back in 3 games doesn''t count then...
  13. " Would love to be wrong, but feel this weekend we are going to see our recent unbeaten run come to an end. Swansea 2 - 0 City" Wow, that was fun. Glad to be completely, hopelessly wrong on that prediction :-)
  14. " I heard on the radio today that Newham Council are to loan West Ham Utd £40m towards the Olympic Stadium. The council official said that the loan wouldn''t cost local council taxpayers anything at all." Ha ha ha....
  15. Would love to be wrong, but feel this weekend we are going to see our recent unbeaten run come to an end. Swansea 2 - 0 City As for the others ( all results predicted on Nov 24 ) H Arsenal v West Brom ( 3-0 ) H Villa v Stoke ( 1-0 ) H Soton v Reading ( 2-1 ) D Sunderland v Chelsea ( 1 - 1 ) A Wigan v QPR ( 1 - 2 ) H Everton v Spurs ( 2 - 0 ) H Man C v Man U ( 2 - 0 ) A W.Ham v L''pool ( 1 - 2 ) Let''s see if that''s better than last weekends 50% ... :-)
  16. " So for tomorrow the prediction is : H 3 - 0 Newcastle v Wigan " Thankyou Newcastle.... 50% sucess rate for the weekend... :-)
  17. " 2 out of 7 for Saturdays results." Ahh yes ... 4 out of 9 forgettig scores, just results. All good fun either way. A West Ham v Chelsea - wrong H Arsenal v Swansea - wrong D Fulham v Tottenham - wrong H Liverpool v Southampton - corect D Man City v Everton - correct H QPR v Aston Villa - wrong 1 - 1 but QPR did hit post a couple of times there at the end :-) H West Brom v Stoke - wrong A Reading v Man Utd - correct H Norwich v Sunderland - correct So for tomorrow the prediction is : H 3 - 0 Newcastle v Wigan
  18. What is it with the top teams ? As much as don''t care for Man Utd, I really hope they or Tottenham win the title this year. The arrogance of Man City, Chelsea (Arsenal?) thinking all they need to do is prance around the park like it''s a glorified 5-a-side pick up game ... Hence I dont think anyone should fear playing these guys... and maybe the other teams have realized that...
  19. On Nov 24 I came up with the rest of the seasons results on BBC predictor - FWIW here''s this weekend results forcast : 1 - 2 West Ham v Chelsea 2 - 0 Arsenal v Swansea 1 - 1 Fulham v Tottenham 3 - 1 Liverpool v Southampton 1 - 1 Man City v Everton 2 - 1 QPR v Aston Villa 2 - 1 West Brom v Stoke 1 - 4 Reading v Man Utd 3 - 0 Norwich v Sunderland 3 - 0 Newcastle v Wigan So agree with most of what was suggested as ideal results...
  20. "Hah ! 1 out of 4. So Tuesday''s predictions (furiously adjusting "Lawrenson Results Predictor" algorithim) Aston Villa 2 - Reading 0 Sunderland 2 - QPR 2" More tweaking obviously needed - both results correct, but goals scored aspect is a bit wonky. Nonetheless without additional algorithm tweaking, I predict tomorrows results will be - Chelsea 3 - 0 Fulham Everton 2 - 1 Arsenal Man Utd 3 - 1 West Ham -- Soton 0 - 2 City --- Stoke 2 - 1 Newcastle Swansea 1 - West Brom 0 Totenham 2 - 0 Liverpool Wigan 1 - 3 Man City
  21. 12 points - I know I''m an optimist ! Southampton 0 - Norwich 2 Norwich 3 - Sunderland 0 Swansea 2 - Norwich 0 Norwich 3 - Wigan 1 West Brom 1 - Norwich 2 Norwich 1 - Chelsea 2
  22. Hah ! 1 out of 4. So Tuesday''s predictions (furiously adjusting "Lawrenson Results Predictor" algorithim) Aston Villa 2 - Reading 0 Sunderland 2 - QPR 2
  23. "West Brom only have to score one goal to mean that we need two to win" And I said they will score 1 and we will score 2. "We don''t score two nowadays but WBA will score so we won''t win..... mark my words" That''s why this is fun. Predictions for today BTW - Chelsea 2 - Man City 0 Southamption 1 - Newcastle 2 Swansea 2 - Liverpool 1 Tottenham 1 - West Ham 0
