1.
Positivity breeds winners, and thats what Norwich need at the moment. I work in sales and if i had a negative guy on my team, who''s head dropped the minute things went wrong and was negative from there, this would have a negative impact on the rest of the team and he would be moved to sit on his own so he didnt ''neg out'' the rest of the team. My team will have a target to reach at the end of the day, and this will be hampered by one negative team player. Positivity is the key, if no sales are got you keep going and never give up til the day is done.
So should negative fans be moved to sit on their own as well to help get the positivity back at Carrow Road? ''neg out''..-sounds like some classic Americana to me!
2. First half was good. We played around nicely, looked threatening, comfortable on the ball and made chances. Scored first goal in what was it 7 hours of football? Hartson made some really good touches, and was the best player on the pitch for 45 mins. He may not be an athlete but he is a footballer. The noise and support from the Barclay was incredible for the first half from where I was sat in the Jarrold stand. The ground looked full as well, but I guess the empty seats where in the Jarrold. Croft is a sub who makes an impact and a bit of excitement, with a minute him and Ostemoboor had broken down the right with a nice one-two. Obviously plenty of negatives too from the second half, but these have all been mentioned already. However to the 4-5 in the Jarrold stand screaming "fat bastard" at Hartson everytime he got the ball, take a look at your own paunches you ignorant pr....
3.
Having said that he was always a decent manager until given 25 million which he wasted abysmally at Sunderland!!
Well no chance of that happening here, so we should be OK! [:P]
4.
We can complain and moan as City fans but Im not putting up with some radio ass wipe taking the pee.
Sounds like a civil reply, to a thinly veiled threat...don''t get so wound up! Mayo gets grief every week for being a Spurs fan, the best being from Matt Damon during an interview.
5.
Its funny how Dion can kick an aimless ball upfield to no-one and be cheered whilst Doherty does the same and is jeered.
Or when Shackell gives away a penalty, leading to the only goal of the game, yet escapes the "man-handling clumsy oaf" tag / posts.
6.
In a nutshell MM, in a nutshell.
In a chocolate shell surely?
7.
..the club would have been wound up would it? That would have been negligence of the highest order on the part of those still in charge 11 years ago.
I think that''s why the board was chased out. I guess if Delia had pulled out the club would be renting Carrow Road today instead of owning it.
8. He''s also the only reason we ever get mentioned now on national radio (apart from when a manager leaves).
9. We haven''t had this much national airtime in ages! Mick Dennis on the Simon Mayo show this afternoon: - has real fear of going down to League 1...accused Mayo of intruding on private grief - said the only good thing at the moment was that Delia was not "pulling out" of the club Then Mayo read out some "amusing" email from an Ipswich fan.. He says similar stuff here - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=1759
10. You''re all a bit harsh on one of only 5 Norwich managers to win any silverware... Build a bridge - and get over it!
11. Nice site. I''ve added my name to your growing petition. [:)]
12. Finances are all smoke and mirrors...[:^)] How can you "refinance" debt, and generate £10 million pounds? Does this really mean we can go another £10 million pounds into debt relatively safely? Maybe the shares are being held to be released next year, as this season already appears to be going nowhere, apart from trying to stabilise the club.
13. Hoddle quotes from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Hoddle Jasper Carrott once remarked of Hoddle: I hear Glenn Hoddle has found God. That must have been one hell of a pass. Hoddle lost his job as England manager immediately after being quoted as saying: You and I have been physically given two hands and two legs and a half-decent brain. Some people have not been born like that for a reason. The karma is working from another lifetime. When Glenn tried to be funny, it was time to pass ''round the laughing gas because he was probably the unfunniest man I have ever known. He was also completly besoted with himself. If he had been an ice cream, he would have licked himself. Tony Cascarino.
14. She appears in the media...she is trying to use NCFC to promote her profile.. She doesn''t appear..she is hiding from the supporters..
15. They did in fairness recognise their lack of footballing knowledge, and get Dave Stringer to help with the interview process. The directors / owners / board also need to get be able to work with the manager, there is no point getting a great manager who leaves after 6 months as it was obvious there was no working relationship.
16. Anyone else hear Worthington interviewed on TalkSPORT this morning? It was mainly about the NI game, but he was asked about Norwich. To paraphrase him: - Norwich are an extremely well run club - Managing Norwich is a great job - The club have their spending limits and will not go above them - He warned the board they needed to spend more money to stay in the Premiership, and again they needed to spend more to balance out the fact of being relegated - He still lives in the Norwich area, and when asked if he''d take the job, then said "I''ll answer diplomatically", then said "of course I''ll take it!" - but obviously very tongue in cheek He still seems to hold the club and board in high regard. Lets hope we don''t stay in the Championship for the next 15 years and look back on Worthy and his promotion season as the second golden age in NCFC''s history..
17. Don''t know about the other leagues, but in France there are only two leagues. After that is a semi-professional one, and then it is amateur. The second league attendances range from an average of 575 for Creteil, a region North of Paris, to 13,000 at Nancy. Most only average 5,000. Even Nantes (our fellow Canaries) who were relegated last year only get 10,000, and they are seen as a big club. There was lost of shock and anger amongst supporters when they went down. I''m not sure of income, but I can''t imagine any of these clubs get a fraction of what a League 1 club gets.
18.
And performances at QPR where most of the players were sh1te is not the basis for choosing the next team otherwise we''d drop virtually every outfield player.
Now there''s a thought... How about anyone who hoofs an aimless ball into no-man''s-land more than twice gets dropped for the next game.
19.
Hopefully the new manager won''t keep playing Brown either. Sorry I know I make it sound like hes the bain of the club but hes really not very good IMO.
Brown was the best choice for the style of football we have been playing. He was actually getting near the ball as it was lumped up field by the defence. Hopefully we can get a manager who will get us to pass it through the midfield on the floor for the strikers. Or at least get the wingers getting a decent cross in. Brown like all the others has had no service, he has just been playing more so has been more ineffectual than the others.
20.

Ian Crook - Bring it on
Yep spot on Bomber , along side David Williams , can you imagine what our mid field would be like ? I will tell you out of this world [Y] arrdee.
Only if they both put their boots on again..
21. "Derby County chairman Peter Gadsby has revealed the club is seeking investment to help them generate off-field funds." He said: "We have put in a planning application for a complex to include a hotel, shops, eateries and offices. "We are seeking £10m to do that, which has led people to believe the club is on the market. But we are seeking a partner to put money into the club." "We are seeking funding, so that we don''t have to use funds from the football side of things, to do that."     Gadsby feels the club must become self-sufficient, rather than relying on wealthy board members to provide cash injections. "We have put a lot of money into the club to make it financially secure but you get to the point when enough is enough," he said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/7032448.stm   Seems to be what we are trying to do as well, although whether funds are coming from the footballing side of things can be disputed.
22.
One Flew Over, how often do you listen? I listen regularly
Ian Collins is one of the best shows on radio. Just as long as I remember to switch off before "Gaunty" in the morning.. TalkSPORT also seems to have slighly more Championship stuff than Radio 5, which is strange considering they are the commercial station.
23. You weren''t listening to talkSPORT last night in the early hours were you? They were trying to get a clairyvoyant to get in touch with the Colonel...
24. Nothing but negative posts for the lat two weeks..useless team, manager, board etc etc. Then everyone predicts a win..except for blahblahblah  [8-)]
