  1. Major is an understatement. What she put in motion is probably 90% of our problems.
  2. He'll go if a PL team comes in. He has a family and it's a short career so he'd jump at the extra cash and you couldn't blame him. Brentford isn't a great move but there are worse PL teams he could join and every team bar about 7 or 8 could get relegated at any moment.
  3. I read that and couldn't believe what I was reading. It's things like that when you know the rivalry has left them with no sense of reality.
  4. He wasn't **** but he definitely wasn't great either. Some fans seem to think he was amazing, but I've never understood that.
  5. Agree with this. You can't argue with some posters about Kenny. He has a unique position with some fans that he's never to blame for anything. His lack of goals and assists from no.8 over the years is criminal but that gets swept under the carpet. Our awful defensive record when he plays a deeper midfield role is the defenders fault and not his. Our yellow streak through September and October with him as captain was nothing to do with him. He is blameless for all failures and key in all successes. It's remarkable. I think he is mostly just a bad footballer, but I will say he's done well at centre half this season all things considered, and he had a great game away at Leeds in midfield... but getting one of his fans to say he's been rubbish today, or he doesn't do enough of this, or maybe we need an upgrade, or perhaps he shouldn't be a starter week-in-week-out, or Nunez is a better bet or whatever it is will just never happen.
  6. You can use whatever criteria you like, but who are your personal worst three managers in the club's history. Mine FWIW: 1. Glen Roeder - I have never hated a Norwich manager like I hated him. I was furious when he got the job and it got no better. Loathed him with every part of my being and was overjoyed when he got sacked. Horrible little man. Other than when we played Ipswich this is the only time I actively wanted the team to lose. 2. Chris Hughton - clearly we've had worse managers in terms of results, and there is an argument he 'did well' with what he had, but I've never had a time when football felt as joyless as when he was in charge. Just an utterly horrible two years to watch the team. The style he implemented is undoubtedly the worst in the club's history. Horrific football. 3. Bryan Hamilton - terrible appointment, terrible results, terrible all round. One positive was I think he brought Worthy in as a coach and he went on to be one of our best managers.
  7. Yeah Holt alluded to it in an interview. Hughton wanted to hold on for the draw once we got level and the players decided to ignore him. He didn't learn from that though and continued to play the worst football in the club's history until his long overdue sacking.
  8. I agree in part, but also its a complete Bayern Munich monopoly (this season aside) so they haven't got everything right.
  9. Needless to say a big game for us in the early kick off tomorrow. Are we hoping for a draw?
  10. That website is 98% made up nonsense so I wouldn't pay much attention to it.
  11. Binners are entering an easy run of games but their last 6 or 7 get tough again. It's going to be an interesting run-in but I still think they will finish fourth and Leeds will finish at least second, maybe top.
  12. Salary cap. Some sort of draft for young players - do away with youth teams. Maximum number of loans in and out. I'd like to trial no offsides just to see what it's like - I'm not confident I'd like it though!
  13. The first title win came from a load of youth players, misfits and freebies. The second was literally the best season at that level in the club's history. He failed in the PL in the covid season but we spent £750k that year! The second season he didn't even get half way through so we'll never know, although with that squad I'm not sure Pep would have kept us up. In any case, the football we saw was without doubt the best I've ever seen. I take your point re. Walker, Stringer, Worthington etc but the game has changed beyond all recognition nowadays so it's not as easy as saying 'Walker finished third in the Premier League so he's the best.' or whatever. In my book Farke is right, right up there in terms of winning things and playing some incredible football along the way. Wagner we will wait and see, but I like him and hope he does go down as one of our great managers, but you're right, we can't judge him yet.
  14. I think he was just adjusting to English football. Its taken him some time, but he's more consistent now and IMO one of our best players with Sargent, Rowe and Sara.
  15. Farke is one of our very best ever. I like Wagner, but he has loads to do before he gets near Sir Daniel.
  16. McLean is a better centre back than he is midfielder and those two are better midfielders than he is. It's a no-brainer.
  17. Amazing what a semi fit squad does for you isn't it? Wagner is showing that he's a good manager at this level when he doesn't have an enormous injury crisis.
  18. He's neat and tidy and has a goal in him. Not brilliant but not bad.
  19. Yeah he's messed up badly with him hasn't he. So much so that Rowe is our top scorer, written himself into derby day folklore and is attracting interest from the Premier League. What a complete balls up from Wagner. Just imagine if he'd have had a progressive coach like Binny McKenna in charge of him, who has one player under 24 in the starting lineup week-in-week-out.
  20. God I hope Wagner gets us up. I'd love him to win the play offs and then resign coz of all this sh*t.
