  1. He''s just tweeted .... James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey @chrisdeighton told most of #NCFC ''s remaining transfer budget earmarked for a striker (Hooper). Other buys will be cheaper squad players
  2. I think what UEFA and FIFA mean is that if a foreign club (Mainly Barca or Madrid) commit a racial offence it will only be classed as "minor" and if it''s an English club they''ll throw the book at them! Just like with this whole tapping up of Bale from Perez at the moment. If that was an English club UEFA wouldn''t allow it!
  3. I couldn''t see why we couldn''t pay a player £50k a week. That''s £2.6 million a year, peanuts for us :)
  4. Was funny when Portsmouth had TY! I think Watford have Football Manager as theirs which looks a bit stupid. Personally I''m glad we have AVIVA as our sponsor, always good to be affiliated with a multi-billion pound business!
  5. Obviously there''s David McNally as the Chief Executive who is in charge of running the club, but what does our chairman Alan Bowkett actually do? As at other clubs such as Stoke the chairman is in charge of appointing a new manager and the day to day running of the club.
  6. Alex - I would imagine he''ll be given the number 10 shirt!
  7. I noticed how towards the end of the season he started predicting us to win every home game to boost us up the table as he messed up massively at the start!
  8. Webbo118 - What do people do this? I know someone who works within the club and they told me this. I''m obviously not going to disclose who it is as it would get them in trouble. I''m not one to make stuff up and have never done so on this forum. All i''m doing is passing on something someone has told me as I thought fellow NCFC fans would want to know. Maybe I should just keep stuff back next time! ffs.
  9. Manchester United will not go into decline. Their financial power is getting stronger each year and will continue to be competitive domestically and abroad as they have the funds to spend on world class players. Lets get one thing straight, they are a much much bigger club than Liverpool financially!
  10. Nope they wont simply as these players play for Norwich so their rating will be reduced. However, if any of they players were at Manchester City their ratting would rocket!
  11. CJ - I wouldn''t say its a worry that the gap between the Premier League and the Championship is going to get wider. Means even if we do get relegated we are in a far better position to get promoted than any other Championship team. However, if I was a small team in the Championship such as Leeds or Ipswich i''d be very concerned with the rising levels of income in the Premier League!
  12. Thanks for clearing that up Bethnal. Just took this from the Pink Un home page story. "The league champions next season can expect to earn close to £100million in broadcast earnings while the bottom club, which this season was QPR, can expect their earnings to go up from £39.8million to around £63million - more than United earned from the most recent campaign" So with an extra £23 million min coming in next season, and £20 odd million we would have probably spent if the TV revenue were the same as this season, i''d imagine our transfer budget to be around £40 million for players fees and wages! Exciting summer ahead.
  13. It says we had 10 games shown live and infact we only had 7. I thought Sky + ESPN combined had to show each team live at least 10 times a season?
  14. I dont understand why Southampton are only 7/1 after 1 season in the league. Worth a few quid!
  15. Yep! Would add two games onto the fixture list that i''d be looking forward to for weeks (as long as we win).
  16. Was just about to post the same Power Hamster! Well said
  17. Like stated above, sell if he isn''t happy. I have a source from the club though who told me we did want to expand capacity this season but the bank refused to give us the loan!!
  18. Always used to see him around school wearing his Norwich shirt with pride. Sad day, and condolences to his family and close friends. RIP Ben
  19. Said he''s happy at Norwich hardly contributing while raking in the cash.
  20. We would not have beaten Arsenal and Manchester United with the "all out attack" approach. Therefore for those type of games Hughtons tactics were spot on.
  21. Really do hope we win as I hate that club and their fans, but realistically will probably be 2 or 3-0.
