  2. Why are people still confusing the role of Technical Director with what we are not looking for, a Director of Football. The Technical Director role looks to be an upgrade to what Ricky Martin already does for the Academy and i''ll be surprised if it''s not him that gets the job. (After we''ve searched the universe for the right person) ADAMS ON… THE ROLE OF THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR “People look at a technical director in terms of what they’ve seen at other clubs – someone there who’s making football decisions, but that isn’t the case here. It’s a technical director in name, it’s not a director of football if you like. The technical director will be taking things off my hands and allow me to go and concentrate on managing the football team. Things like the nutrition and hydration, their rest and well-being, and the running of the training ground, things like that. It’s someone who’s going to help immensely, but it’s not someone who’s going to make decision directly regarding the first team. That’s obviously my remit with the coaches".
  3. Believe it or not, today''s game at Carrow Road has been designated the Game of the Day, and the full game can be seen again, at 8pm on Sky Sports 1 (or on a stream if you haven''t got Sky)
  4. Sixty six and three quarters, enjoying retirement, and growing old disgracefully.
  5. Well said, the OP. haha Ricardo, we''ve seen ''em come and go over the years, ain''t we. One thing remains constant though, managers, players, and board members may come and go, but true fans support our team through the good times AND the bad times. Whatever happens this season, i will continue to support my team even if we go back down to the 3rd tier or even lower. I''m surprised i even bothered to look at the message board to tonight, some people on here should go and support Man U, Chelsea, etc if they think we should be winning every game at this level, and no doubt a good percentage of posters reveling in us losing are bitter/jealous 1p5wich & Leeds fans, or attention seekers like the clowns that tend to phone in to Canary Call, which i listened to tonight for first time in months. Tonight, we were playing Man United, both teams put out weakened teams, only Bassong, Fer, & Snoddy started started against Cardiff and tonight, but some people thought we should be beating Utd. huh! No doubt we will lose again against Man City on saturday, do you expect us to beat them too?

  7. Watched Ireland v Sweden & Scotland v Belgium. Ellmander was class, like an intelligent, stronger, taller, more skillful, and less petulant version of Holty. Will work well in he number 10 position. Ireland and Scotland were playing against teams better than themselves, and the Norwich players for Scotland did well in the circumstances against a classy Belgium. Watching both games, it was surreal to watch Snoddy getting subbed for Scotland v Belgium Iat the same time as Pilks was coming on for Ireland v Sweden, although Ireland game started 15 minutes earlier. Best of all, none of our players appeared to get injured and i''ll be chuffed they all come back fit and well next week.
  8. I''m watching Ireland v Sweden on me compooter, with my right eye. And Scots v Belgium on the tv, with my left eye. Great header for the equaliser from Ellmander, all the Norwich lads doing well so far, although Snoddy falling over at every opportunity as usual, trying to get a FK. he''s already been booked, needs to watch it. Hopefully Pilks and Wes can get some game time in 2nd half.
  9. He was Spurs only over age player in their Under 21/development game against us tonight. We won 2-1, with Lewis Holtby scoring a late consolation goal. He''s been told he can go out on loan, and i''m sure we signed Harry Kane on Transfer deadline night after playing Spurs last season. History repeating? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2405393/Lewis-Holtby-leave-Tottenham-loan.html
  10. To the original poster. If i had read this post about 50 years ago i would have loved the opportunity to be your 30 goals a season striker. Unfortunately i can''t run for even 1 step these days. I wish you all the best in your player recruitment, and for the coming season.
  11. Less than 24 hours to go. Register, and join up to 15 Private Leagues before 11:30 am tomorrow. Heres my 2 leagues. Code 1032-13221 for the Classic type league. I''ve also set up a Head to Head league, called Best Head 2 Head. All welcome. Code below. 1032-20157 You pick 1 team, and can join up to 15 Private Leagues by typing in the joining codes. (write down the code, and type it in manually, rather than Copy&Paste, and don''t leave any gaps between the numbers and the dash) Hope that helps, and good luck.

  13. o.k., it was only against the sweaty socks, but Redmond''s was the best performance from a young English player for many a long year. Taken off after the 6th goal, thankfully, England were never the same force after he went off. Harry Kane came on and continued to disappoint. Roy Hodgson was in charge for tonights game, after the demise of Stuart Pearce, and the difference in team selection and tactics etc. was immense. Pearce should never be allowed near a football team again. I was his biggest fan as a player, but as a manager he''s the pits. He had a face like a smacked arse, or he''d been kicked in the nuts, in the post match interview. Anyway, a good interview and a Man of the Match bottle of champers for our Nathan. Well done lad.
  14. @NorthernCanary. All the invites to join leagues, in this thread are for Private Leagues, not Public Leagues. You are welcome to join any of the Private Leagues that you see a Joining Code for. Public Leagues, you won''t know any of your opponents. You can join up to 15 Private leagues, and 3 public leagues. As for the Joining Code, i find it best to write down the numbers, and then type them in, no spaces between the numbers or dash. Hope that helps.
  15. I agree with super canary, Vaz. I''ve tried them all, or attempted to try them all, and they''re all so money orientated, except for the Premier Fantasy League, which is totally free, and much easier to navigate and make substitutions etc. I''ve actually got a team again, in this seasons Sun dream team competition but, as in previous years i will probably jack it in because they make it hard to transfer players if you''re not paying for it. Also, i''m a Sky customer, and would love to join their competition, but every year i try to join and i find it impossible to register with them.
  16. Sky sports reporting Zak Whitbread was stretchered off after about 15 minutes. Is he just unlucky, or injury prone.
  17. 43 clubs visited so far. I reckon they''ll be with us in the next two hours. The reporter covering our area has just left Col U, and is on his way to Ip5wich (not much to see there!) then on to Norwich i presume.
  18. I watched it earlier, 12:00 til 2:00 pm. It''s also on again tonight, 11:00 pm til 1:00 am & again at 4:00 am. I''ve seen it loads of times, they''re always repeating it. We do get plenty of coverage btw.
  19. Yep, i''ve got 2 leagues running again this year. A classic league. Code to join is 1032-13221 I''ve also set up a Head to Head league, called Best Head 2 Head. All welcome. Code to join is 1032-20157 You can join up to 15 private leagues and 3 public leagues, all with your one team. Great fun and interest throughout the season. All welcome.

  21. I was hoping we would get Fer for five point five million ffs. Never mind, 6 million is still a bargain.
  22. "Yep, i''m back in, Crispy. Hoping to do better this year, haha. I''ve got Ruddy, Snoddy, and the Wolf as my 3 Norwich players, but will swap one of them to Fer, when he becomes available. My league, called the Best League, is up and running again, and all Pink''un posters are welcome. League code to join is 1032 - 13221" I''ve also set up Best Head 2 Head league again. Rock on! I''ve reluctantly dropped Ruddy, to bring in Fer. He''s going to be a beast for us! Fer, Snoddy and the Wolf for me at the moment, probably change my squad a million times before August 17th! haha.
