  1. Goalkeepers today have a big advantage over goalkeepers of yesteryear because they can move on the line. This not only gives a greater spring to their dive, but offers them a greater opportunity to ‘put off’ the penalty taker. As has previously been stated, recent Norwich goalkeepers have a shocking record when it comes to saving penalties, exemplified by Green and Ruddy. Some keepers have a ‘presence’ or sound technique (not diving too early)when facing a penalty. As well as he played during both games, there was never a suggestion that Gunn was going to keep a penalty out. However good you consider Chelsea’s penalties were, Oliveira’s was better struck and placed than Eden Hazard’s.......
  2. Vrancic has to be THE slowest footballer ever to wear a Norwich shirt. I have never seen a footballer beaten so easily by an opposing player with a ball at their feet. He played some decent passes from time to time, but their were long periods of the game that just passed him by. Wearing green football boots is seriously not a good idea because he stands out a mile, and for the most part it is not a pretty sight.
  3. Oliveira’s penalty wasn’t bad - good save by their keeper. Was Hoolahan down for the last penalty I wonder?
  4. Blown his chance to add another £5m to his valuation.
  5. Bad substitution....Reed has been Norwich’s best player by a country mile.
  6. They are Farke’s words, not mine..... You can answer the question any which way you like....seriously....tongue-in-cheek.....facetiously....just don’t have a clucking hissy fit over it.
  7. Any guesses for Farke’s ‘special plan’ for Chelsea? Start with no recognised forward and Oliveira on the bench? Have at least one shot on target?
  8. The list is lengthening - add Jerome......and Oliveira might not be far behind....
  9. Norwich have an unerring knack of turning decent players into dross. Naismith, Wildschut and Watkins come instantly to mind - all reasonable goal scorers before Norwich bought them and blunted their effectiveness. Still, it’s not all bad. As things stand, Gunn, Bennett, Johnson, Martin, Pilkington and Wildschut could all find themselves playing PL football next season........
  10. Say what you like about Bennett, but rest assured he will be part of a Premier League squad next season. Both he and Ruddy, deemed not fit for purpose, will be having the last laugh....
  11. Completely self-inflicted. Have had more opporunity than most, in recent times, to establish themselves in the PL - blown the lot. Far more likely to be playing League 1 football than PL in the foreseeable future....
  12. Pritchard will be off before the week is out, and Maddison will be gone in the summer. Once Klose and Tettey exit the door we will have a squad barely good enough to compete in next season’s relegation battle. The future looks bright.
  13. It shows just how bad things have become whereby a performance that failed to trouble the opposing keeper is regarded as ‘quality’. Football is all about winning, and you can’t win unless you score goals. So impotent have we become, that the only two out an£ out stickers in the squad are no longer deemed fit fo4 purpose. No longer reliable for scoring goals, Norwich now put out a team containing eight defensive players so as not to concede. With Pritchard and Maddison long gone before the start of next season, this current regime will have ensured that Norwich’s long earned reputation for good football and attacking intent will be firmly confined to the refuse bin, along with copious employees.
  14. ''Alternatively, these "carp" players are actually helping inflate JM''s quality in the eyes of the statistically naive ...........''Unintelligible response.Think before you type.
  15. According to the Coventry Telegraph, JM has created more chances so far this season than any other player from the top five leagues in Europe..... So if we didn’t already know it :- 1) He should become Norwich City’s highest ever selling transfer fee. 2) He’s currently playing with a bunch of carp footballers who are consistently failing JM’s talent.
  16. It rather looks as though Farke will be going all-out for three 0-0 draws, which no doubt will be deemed three excellent results. Are Norwich the only Championship side to have just two strikers in their squad? I use the word ‘strikers’ loosely, as both players appear pretty clueless when it comes to knocking a football into the net.
  17. It is hard to believe a football club/team can become so hopeless/gutless in such a short space of time.... Legendary.
  18. A fine Christmas present for Norwich City fans - 45 minutes of football that confirms we are a lot worse than many Norwich supporters care to admit to.........
  19. Unfortunately the season isn’t over........ ....Norwich are fast finding themselves in a relegation battle.
  20. Never mind that we’re 2-0 down..... ...is Jerome working the channels well?
  21. Do we really need to have two defensive midfielders baby-sitting the defence when playing at home? Results are suggesting Norwich need a different approach to formation and tactics at Carrow Road.
