  1. yeah let''s get rid of and sign rat face (suarez) ! Wait we don''t have enough money to sign a big name. As much as it p£ssed me off at the time he will score goals and we don''t have much else around at the mo.
  2. Showing my age then smith ! Was some celebration you are right, must have been awhile previous but I distinctly remember thinking ''Bloody hell where''s my uncle gone'' and discovering him halfway up the Barclay. Unless of course he was lifted up a few rows !
  3. Spot on Jim, the culture at our club rightly or wrongly is not quite so fanatical as other clubs in my opinion. I have a workmate who is from Wolves and he used to work in factory up there and he said on a Monday morning if they had been beaten on the Saturday the whole factory was on a massive downer, the pain felt was almost palpable. The Leeds forum is another good example where they take the mickey out of our ground ''being full of old women and children - not real fan''s'' whatever that is. Most of the stadiums around that time were not particularly safe I remember standing in the Barclay when we scored against Bayern and I ended up about ten rows down and this probably happened every week in most grounds.
  4. Gardeningleave, your comment makes an interesting read. One can only assume if the fans allowed in at Carrow road for free then passed the message on it would quickly gain momentum and if fans thought ''Turn up, make a bit of noise and we might get in free'' then you understand how the numbers of away fans travelling without tickets could swell.
  5. Ok I admit, like 99% of fans I had only read bits and pieces of the report and the police did themselves no favours especially with what has come to light in the last week. So are you saying that from day one you knew that the Liverpool fans were ''Blameless'' and the police were totally at fault ? There were so much mis-information bandied about in the weeks after it was hard to know who to believe, I think what riles other fans is the ''Holier than thou'' attitude and yet they tend to forget about Heysel.
  6. My thoughts have always centred on the decision made that fateful day to open the gate in the first place. Surely whoever made the decision could not have taken it lightly and must have thought there was a ''life risk'' in the first place. My memory is not as good as it was but I seem to remember that there being around 5000 Liverpool fans there without tickets and I very much doubt this would have happened if it were us playing there instead. Surely if the fans outside were standing around idly chatting the decision would not have been taken. I remember being at our semi final and only hearing that the game had been abandoned and not a lot else initially. It s heartbreaking for the families involved but I just cannot see the police being 100 per cent to blame for what happened.
  7. I read the first line as ''cameron'' and thought ''bloody hell they''ve got involved now'' !
  8. I like the '' Holier than thou'' attitude on here. So all you poster''s who are having a go have never in their entire working life ''Pulled a sickie'' Pleeeese. Load of b*llocks !
  9. "Many a Mickle Maxed a Muckle" I think the late Gordon Jackson said it means "If you look after the pennies, the pounds will look after themselves" !
  10. I do tend to agree that people seem to assume if you get a degree you have it made when unfortunately its not the case anymore. My eldest who I tried to persuade to stay in further education but failed and now with his apprenticeship looks like he will emigrate to Aus has a story. His mate who I know went to uni and gained a good degree in film making or something similar, when I asked my son how he was getting on he said ''yeah he is ok, working in Iceland'' ! ''Good on him I said, see you should have gone to uni''. ''No dad, he is stacking shelves in Iceland he can''t find a job'' ! Sad after all that hard work.
  11. Concoct is now my word of the day ! Well the hour anyway.
  12. I think Holty looks ''Fat as a pig'' - ''Thinner than Posh Spice on the Cambridge diet'' Delete as appropriate. Some of you on here really are plums ! It was an observation, nothing more nothing less. I thought he looked fine from the lower Barclay but won''t vilify the poster for his opinions.
  13. As a relative ''newbie'' here with a minuscule amount of posts I just wonder which '' team'' I should join ? I just want to ''be loved'' and find all this animosity against each other hard to take ! Why can''t we all just be friends ?
  14. Are you lot sure you actually support the same team ? Cause from what I am reading albeit with the best of a bottle of Merlot gone you are mostly mentalists !
  15. Relegation looms ! Remember you heard it here first.
  16. Yeah , but what a strike force they would make ! Got to be good for at least 20 goals a season eh nutty ! So now the manager and probably the top scorer has f*cked off who do you think the player''s left will believe ? People always form opinions and they will either be thinking ''you''re a tw*t Holty'' or what a b*stard mcnally is - lets hope its the former.
  17. Well what if his numpty agent happens to be telling the truth in that he was told last March his situation would be reviewed this March depending on Holt''s year and then Mcnally does keep stalling for two months - then surely if you were him you would be pissed ! Then he tells your agent that he ''would not lose any sleep over it'' if a transfer request were handed in this would pretty much force you into a corner to do it. I fear without his goals we may struggle next year, though it might be too late. Who is next for Mcnally''s ''Hardball'' ? Howson , Pilks when lambert comes sniffing ? In this division gotta pay the money or you will lose the player''s and if you can''t then you will lose them i''m afraid.
  18. I tend to agree with nutty regarding Holt, though we do not know all the facts. Do we really think we will keep the like of Howson, Pilks, Benno etc if we do not pay comparable wages to teams around us ? I know we have to reduce the debt and in a weird way we might have been able to keep Lambert and reduce a bit more if we got relegated. Not that I am advocating it just that with Lambert and probably Holt gone and then I can foresee Lambert sniffing around our younger players I think it will be incredibly hard to stay up this season. I think Mcnally can play the ''hardball'' bit too extreme sometimes. Time will tell I guess, but please not Bruce.
  19. Yeah, you just roll over and let them ''rip the piss'' ! Not sure it was particularly ''volatile'' either.
  20. I agree totally rude in fact I posted much the same on another NCFC forum a few minutes ago ! I think McNally probably reads the boards from time to time and enjoys what is said about him as we all like our ''ego''s caressed'' now and again. Why do you think they have a ''good cop, bad cop'' scenario - cause it wouldn''t work with a ''bad cop, worse cop'' one ! The Holt situation is a complete f*ck up and no one comes out of it well, and who are we going to get who will score his goals next year ? In a year''s time we will know if the tactics worked but I fear by then it will too late.
  21. I really don''t buy into this ''pick young uns for the future'' b*llocks cause that''s what it is ! You have to play your best eleven now even more so in international games because tournaments are so far apart so much can happen between. Look at out ''Golden generation'' what a misnomer that was and how many chances did and still are getting to win f*ck all ! And Connor Wickham over Holt please, Banana - more like a Plum.
  22. 16. Demand Norwich is moved closer to Carlisle so he can live near the rest of his family - Possible.
  23. Come on now, let''s not start the ''Blame game'' ! (it wasn''t us).
