  1. If we get to game 5 with 2/3 points and/or are not bottom I think we'll have done well.
  2. Duda is clearly a decent player, and there are some reasonable mitigating factors why he wasn't great for us, but I don't think anything can excuse his awful set piece delivery.
  3. I make you right as they've won every Euro Finals game in their history
  4. A) That's a ridiculous sweeping generalisation, whether something is entertaining is entirely subjective B) I would absolutely watch that film, it sounds awesome
  5. But these are relatively low risk signings with a natural attrition rate. They aren't all going to be Maddisons, but you only need one or two of those for it to be a success overall. Anyway, a bit early to write some of those names off!
  6. Nice to know there are irons in the fire anyway, even if the location is basically only narrowed down to "the universe". 😉
  7. Losing him doesn't make us a better side, but it does afford an opportunity to build a team that's less reliant one one player, and improve the levels across multiple positions. Who we bring in now and how well they integrate is so crucial.
  8. Oh for the days when the only issue with the sponsor was the logo, but yeah, it was a bit shonky.
  9. Yeah fair point, but we definitely had to do a lot more defending than the season just gone.
  10. Not to diminish his performances last season at all, but it's a lot easier defending in a team with routine 60+% possession than one that's under the cosh regularly as we probably will be in the PL. Could see him being brought down with a bump by the step up, but could also be the making of him!
  11. Dare I say it there's a parallel with people who boo taking a knee with people who actively do down women's football. If it's not for you, fair enough, but some people seem actively invested in it not being successful and perpetuate the old stereotypes. Obviously it isn't on a par with the men's game in terms of quality, fitness, supporter numbers (or funding), but it's on the up despite the hurdles, and I can't see why anyone would reasonably object to that.
  12. If he stays it's a bit down to chance whether he gets an opportunity, whereas if he goes on loan at a lower level at least he's more likely to get game time. I'd go the loan route personally, but presumably they'll have a good look at him in pre-season and take a view.
  13. Based on the last 3 seasons our ceiling is 20 and our floor is 21.
  14. Yeah he does feature centrally a lot, but my mental picture is of him driving into that central space from wider positions rather than picking the ball up there. I may be wrong though. Obviously those three have a pretty flexible brief, but my expectation of a true 10 is that they would consistently occupy that space behind the striker as a focal point for attacks.
  15. Irrelevant to the transfer maybe, but interesting as we don't play him as a 10 (not ever as far as I can remember), and not sure it suits him.
  16. A pre-packaged like-for-like replacement would presumably also cost £40m, but a player of that value wouldn't come to Norwich. Only option is to gamble on potential.
  17. Thought Hondermarck was a prospect, looked good in the youth games I've seen.
  18. Obviously we all want to finish as high as possible, but 17th is the cut-off between a good season and a bad one.
  19. Aarons is fantastic, but a more defensively-minded RB might be a better option in the PL anyway. Part of our undoing last time was our cavalier approach, which was great, but didn't get enough points on the board. If we can strengthen other areas of the team at the same time (e.g. Skipp), it could suit everyone involved.
