1. fucking c.unt, absolute piece of fucking sh!t that official is
2. I find it unbelievable how disinterested and half paced so many players looked today given what''s at stake.
3. What a lazy nonchalant performance this has been. Playing as if we''re already safe....
4. Sky''s money may have been the problem in the first place but this new deal is hardly bad news for our club. The investors are already in and telling sky to shove their money would be disastrous for a club like ours as we''d end up with no transfer budget. A better solution would be to stop owners from investing a penny into clubs, let the income come solely off ticket sales, merchandise, transfers and whatever TV deals are going at the time. Things would soon go back to normality and fans of underperforming clubs could start dreaming of a great player or manager coming into the club to turn their fortunes around instead of wishing for some oil tycoon or Russian Gangster to pump stupid amounts of money in
5. I hate it when people slag off the money Sky et all injects into the league, without that a well run club like us (Swansea/West Brom) etc doing things the right way would never be able to compete with the soulless sugardaddy clubs like QPR. Sky''s money is just helping other clubs compete. If every club was run like ours Sky wouldn''t need to plough that much money into the game and tickets would probably max out at about £30. Without that money our budget would have probably been £0 last season and we would''ve gone down. Also without the prospect of that money coming in should we reach the Premiership we wouldn''t have been able to restructure the debt with a view to paying it off when we got there as the money wouldn''t exist
6. I''d take £6-7m for him realistically if offered, in the same position Whittaker''s just as good. As a player he''s probably only worth about £4m but from what I''ve heard he brings a lot to the team off the field and is therefore an important player to us. Like with Hooper at Celtic our valuation of him may be a lot more than other teams view he''s worth. So therefore I can''t see this one happening.
7. It was started by Ipswich fans, people on here were just stupid enough to believe and spread that rumor
8. That''s a very crude way of analyzing ref''s performances for certain teams. As someone who watches a lot of premiership football whenever I can I can assure you we are usually treated pretty poorly by referees overall compared to other clubs in this league. Stoke and Wigan (last week aside) also seem to get screwed over a lot! Another thing I''ve noticed is it''s not generally the smaller clubs that get treated the most unfairly by ref''s but more the most unfashionable clubs like us and the others mentioned. The teams that tend to get the fairer treatment are the ones with the bigger name players/spend the most in windows/get the most media attention/have higher profile managers or outspoken or bonkers owners (fashionable clubs basically) This leaves me slightly paranoid that there''s some kind of conspiracy from the FA or Sky or whoever to make it as tough as possible for the less interesting or less media friendly teams (Teams who make everyone the least money) to survive. I mean after all they''ve made it practically illegal to call a referees decision into question, giving them complete protection free from any criticisms whatsoever. I''m kinda joking really, I don;t really believe that but it wouldn''t surprise me if it was true, even more so after last Sunday.
9. I''m genuinely surprised Francis hasn''t signed for QPR in the past 2 years, I know he''s long retired but he''d fit in like a glove there!
10. Okay so we all agree the calls are debatable and could have gone either way really. Then it''s funny how all the ''debatable'' or calls left open to the ref''s interpretation ALL went Sunderlands way though. And how he seemed to be taking the red out of his pocket the second the ball touched Bunn in the chest without giving himself time to think. I wouldn''t blame it on them being the home team as the stadium was as quiet as a morgue, he wasn''t under any pressure from the fans. I''m sorry but either he is a cheat or he wanted some time in the limelight on Sky cameras, there''s no other excuse for that amount of bias!
11. The difference was we held a much higher line today so it was much less of a struggle for the team to get up the pitch (due to our lack of pace) which is what I''ve been dying to see for ages! Same defensive solidarity and 4-5-1 formation with the same players I''ve just wanted us to push up a bit more when we have the chance and I think had the ref not been bribed we would have really given Sunderland a hammering today Swansea first half style. It also helps that Kamara is excellent at holding the ball up. This is what I''ve been dying to see for ages solid, balanced play instead of Lambert''s gung ho or Hughton''s usual park the bus approach!
12.
I don''t think that he was paid off, I think all of the officials were just horrendous. There''s a difference.
I know the difference. Everything went their way. Think about it! They''re desperate for survival, this was their most important game of the season against a side where nobody cares if they get hard done by. He was paid to help Sunderland in every way he could today, fact!
13. Exactly a poor referring decision where decisions go against both sides I can live with, it happens. But Foy and co had blatantly been paid off by Sunderland today. I''ve never seen such a biased display nobody could convince me that display was just incompitance
14. And they''ve gotten every other small decision. Sunderland being allowed 20 minutes to line up a free kick while the ref basks in the view of the sky cameras. The 5 man Sunderland scrum around Bunn was also fine as well...
15.
despite the anger Asdfghjkl;''#, if we walk off it gets recorded as a 3-0 loss
We''re going to lose anyway. At least that would send a message this this isn''t acceptable. Nobody could be this bias by accident
16. He''s been paid off by Sunderland! I can''t believe this is allowed to happen. I''m 100% certain of it, this is disgusting! People pay so much money to go to these games and it gets ruined by some greedy little shit. The players should have walked off after that penalty and refused to play
17. It doesn''t matter who or how many play up from for us if no more than 4 players are allowed past the half way line at any stage barring set pieces they''re not going to be up to much are they? Van Persie would have struggled to reach 10 league goals this year with how we play! I think Holt''s just frustrated, he knows the way we play completely nullifies him as a threat and no matter how much effort he puts in he''s still going to look poor and struggle to score. It''s almost like all he''s in the team to do is win free kicks at the moment and I do feel sorry for him being hung out to dry the way he has!
18. Impossible to predict without knowing our team at the start of next season. We''ll be in the Premiership though next year without a doubt (coming from an extreme pessimist) and for what it''s worth I''d guess somewhere lower mid table like this year but hopefully with a few less batterings and unwatchable dull draws with poorer teams than us! While I don''t think a lot of the football we''ve played this year has matched up to the extortionate price I''ve had to pay to watch it (Not our clubs fault, Fu(k you Chelsea/QPR/City/Fulham etc) I honestly don''t see us ever getting relegated under Hughton barring an extremely unfortunate injury crisis or run of bad luck so I''m fairly happy really :) Given the choice I''d rather be a Stoke supporter right now than a Blackpool fan :P
19. I struggle to understand why we didn''t build upon the philosophy built by Lambert instead of completely changing it for a more negative outdated style. I''m not completely unhappy with Hughton, the table says he''s been a success but there was so much good about what we had before and we should have found a manager to build upon it, just look at what Swansea did! Like I said I''m not anti Hughton and provided we don''t get relegated should be given at least 3 seasons to see what he can do with ''his'' team, but nobody can argue that 90% of this season has been horrible to watch and certainly not worth the price the club asks you to pay to watch it!
20. My favorite cat out of the 4 we owned died the other day, it sounds daft to be sad but it ain''t nice :P seen a lot of people on my friends list posting about cats dying this month as well, been a bad February for Norfolk cats!
21. He shouldn''t ever have gotten out of prison in the first place my opinion, he played his part in ruining a poor kids life, fuck him, his life should also be ruined! I remember being 16, you don''t think any less clearly than you do at any later stage of life, he knew what he was doing, he''s got no excuses and deserves no second chances. I find it amazing that someone hasn''t already run onto a pitch and battered him yet! Those actually committing the rape of a child deserve execution, they''re sub human. Dogs get put down for biting people to make sure they never injure another person, is that seriously worse than what the child rapists did? and are they any better than an animal?
22. I think last year we massively over achieved. Although Lambert''s gone on to show (and had shown before he arrived here) that he isn''t the exceptional manager we all thought he was but for whatever reason while he was here everything he touched turned to gold, every cheap gamble signing paid off wonderfully, every baffling substitution ended up getting us point we weren''t on course to get, he had 100% of the fans completely behind him and he really knew how to work with the players he had signed etc But I actually think Bolton and Wolves aside that we had the worst starting 11 last year and by far the worst squad in the league that in the hands of a good but not exceptional manager like Hughton would be relegated this year, especially with such strong teams coming up. So in my view what we''ve achieved this year has been fantastic despite some very ugly football. I''m happy to see this continue for a while as long as we show signs of improving our playing style as the quality of the squad improves.
