  1. that will be gutting!! I was excitedly thinking of another Helveg type but 3rd Keeper - hardly matters does it!!
  2. Yes but it was the ''whole package'' that Worthy objected to, as we don''t know what it was who are we to comment. Also he may be crocked hence his departure in the first place. Why did Blackburn pull out?? I trust NW on this one. But agree a defender and striker seem imperitive.
  3. As they lined up to try Charlton''s vibrating chair Brennan started to get excited!!
  4. oh not again!!! Lets not talk about it Pretend we don''t know Then if it happens we rejoice If id doesn''t we haven''t wasted another load of speculative stress!! Linvoy used to have trouble making up his mind- but know he''s not so sure!!!
  5. Mrs. Miggins the new Tea Lady has a lovely new pinny and warm smile... ....its getting deadly
  6. I have to say he looks cold shouldered in the photo on the caption link!! Body language is not good. In truth I have long wondered why a man of his exceptional talent has ofte nhad difficulties settling in to clubs. Is there an ego problem that Worthy is sorting out with a bit of tough care!!! Could be!!!
  7. I hope the new chap has a name that rhymes with Sis Chrutton fingers crossed we have news soon
  8. yes and I am the third keeper, with Shergar playing RW
  9. well done!! That will open the doors to lots of whoppers!!. Darren Eadie here and my mate Sutton will sign tomorrow etc.. etc... Yours Lord Lucan
  10. oh please no!!! We all hope (stupidly) for Sutton and it is the slightly uninspiring Scowcroft... Great.........
  11. don''t laugh too much - he may yet surprise everyone with his incredible ball skills and deftness of touch!!!
  12. If true then fantastic, but I somehow doubt it...
  13. Spoke to some Hammers fans yesterday who reckon that Harewood is a great Div 1 player but not good enough for Prem. Reckoned we would be wasting our money! Only reporting back from those who know him well
  14. That would surprise me to be honest! It is indeed a realistic list according to strength of squad but there are always surprises. I bet several unexpected teams will do well and others badly. The top five (Arsenal, Manu, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle) will all be top half. Then it is pretty open. We will do one of two things: Suprise everyone, gathering confidence and finish half way (depending on September results) Crash and burn big time.... ... just my feeling but whichever let us sing loud and long and love every minute!!
  15. Clearly! It is also pertinent that the club looked to the Fulham affair BEFORE Primus. Suggesting they weren''t too worried about losing him, knowing an extra few grand would sort him out and he would stay. Alas but I feel it is dead
  16. not often- though amusingly I am performing a wedding in August and the potential groom spotted my Norwich keyring. He was gutted being a binner!! I have threatened to wear my Norwich scarf (which of course I shan''t) But I will refer to his very poor taste in football clubs in the sermon. And he won''t be able to answer back!!!
  17. Hucks was not happy at Man City, Primus is happy at Portsmouth. but who knows, the lure of regular football must work some wonders
  18. i won both raffles at the church bazaar last year, had to redraw though as it looked like a fix!!! Hmmpph chances were thousands to one on winning both, perhaps I should do the lottery! not that that is football related,,,,but hey I needed it off my chest!!
  19. Agree there!! If he was simply going to sign for Pompey it would surely have happened. Looks as though he has been offered something but not as much as he hoped. My guess is he is thinking long and hard. With every hour I feel his blood maybe turning from blue to green!!Come on Primus you know it makes sense
  20. precious in our eyes not in terms of being a bit mincey!!!!!! Apologise for my inept choice of words lol
  21. We may well have had many top flight years- but the fact remains we have never been a club linked with top signings!! Go on name the the players who were massive stars before we signed them? Polston??? I understand the pessimism - but hopefully this will change
