Pretty sure Smith has said that he's going to play in a behind closed doors friendly during the next international break. If that is the case then I'd imagine he could be involved plenty before the world cup.

Incredible is one way of putting it. The Idol worship aspect of the last few days has been pretty revolting in my opinion. You make some fair points. On the Andrew bail out I just can't see it as anything other than a negative. She protected a dodgy malaka or the 'family' image. I think an 'I still love you but **** you' would have been more appropriate. We all saw the damning interview, he isn't a good person. The monarchy is indeed a complicated issue. A post in the deleted thread mentioned supporting them is akin to wanting to live in the past. I don't agree with that but they are a fascinating scar on out psyche. I don't think a majority of brits have extreme views on them but a majority do seem to be generally positive, granted that is probably down to the queen as a character more than the organisation itself. Will be interesting to see where we are as a population in a generation or two, I certainly hope the next lot aren't pretending to shed a tear for likes on a football forum.
