    Seems like a Watkins/McLean/Pukki sort of signing to me. In their prime and so cheap that even if they flop they don't make it here they'll probably still make profit in the following window.

    He hasn't, not sure he's even been on the bench yet. Certainly a signing we needed to make though, imagine getting stuck with Ivo Pinto at left back for any number of weeks.

    Also I'm not sure he's ideal for the system we play. I wonder how many he'd have scored playing up front on his own this season. I would like to see us bring in a fast, powerful striker as an option though.

    I think it was worth the gamble keeping him. They could have gotten a smaller points deduction leaving them with a shot at the playoffs. They'll almost certainly get similar offers in the summer. splendidrush is right, even if we're promoted he'll be out of our price range.

    Is the Nelson thing new news? Thought they had that agreed when he went. Presumed he's gone if they stay up.

    I don't remember seeing anything about that either. Presumed he was missing out on the bench because Leitner and Vrancic were back fit and it's obviously not worth wasting a foreign player space on a guy that is unlikely to get on.

    Had players like Leitner or Vrancic played all year then they'd surely be in with a shout with these. Not sure how they've missed Buendia though. Not to mention we have about 4 players younger than Harry Wilson that should be ahead of him for the running of YPOTS.

    They'll get temp entertainment visas or something whatever happens. Too much tax to take from footballers and the leagues to stop it.

    Oh yes, I was pretty cynical when he said that. I thought Farke was tagging him along a bit to keep a Brit in the squad and the player was going along with it until the next manager came along.

    I'd agree with this, it's the way they play. McLean is far more likely to run and get forward with the ball than a Leitner or Vrancic which means he's more likely to lose the ball. Leitner and Vrancic (more recently anyway) are better holding back and playing from deep with composure. I also think that whilst McLean is a good passer of the ball he telegraphs too many of them, possibly a nitpick that somebody will instantly shoot down with statz. To be fair to McLean though with the long injury he had he's probably just really getting up to 'match sharpness' now. Plenty more to come one would expect.

    Far too many minutes silences at football these days. Other than remembrance day they should be personal to individual football clubs or cities imo, like when a former player dies or when there's a tragic case like the Sophie Taylor one earlier on this season. Not enough games in the season to cover all of the terrorist attacks or players/chairman that few in the stadium would have even heard of before they were all over the news.

    I think most fans would have put Mario or Moritz in weeks ago. Safe to say he isn't.
