  1. Anyway, how come Lakey gets to post at this time every day. I thought you were a teacher or something?
  2. I may have missed the irony in Rogue Baboons post. I well remember attending with 13k crowds in the early 90''s.
  3. I think i may have missed the irony Rogue Baboon.
  4. I''m confused. I thought our L1 attendances were around 23-25k every week?
  5. Even his dance partner is wearing Norwich stuff now......poor attemt at trying to show he cares. Only profile he is trying to raise is his own. Why would you think he doesnt care?
  6. Excelent! For those of you who are into the history of football grounds, Simon Inglis has written some great stuff.
  7. Pfffttt... Gareth Bale could earn that in 17 days.
  8. Hundreds and hundreds features mainly in books targeted at children. The majority of the remaining usages are quotes from uneducated people. Ties in with the ''Young'' bit I suppose.
  9. Hundreds and Hundreds? Christ. how long have you been a ''fan''?
  10. They use this board as some sort of yardstick to measure how supporters feel.
  11. I wish it was the sixties, I wish I could be happy I wish, I wish, I wish that something would happen...
  12. Great picture of Ted MacDougall on the main Pinkun page, celebrating a goal against Villa in one of my favourite ever Norwich matches at the start of the 1975/1976 season. City 5 - Villa 3, with the Mick Dennis headline... "What entertainment - 8 pence a goal!" Those were the days!
  13. I have no interest in the national team whatsoever, haven''t done for some time. Where are all the characters who you could at least warm to, or identify with?
  14. Loved the MacDougall/Boyer partnership .Great time to be a Norwich fan. MacDougall wandering about upfield, hands on hips like he couldn''t give a 5hit, pass from Boyer. Bish, bash bosh. Back of the net. Good old fashioned ''goalhanger''.
  15. SONYC calls it right for me. I cant believe Stringer and Forbes were 45 years ago!!!
  16. When you have supported your team for a number of years, I guess you just realise that its all part of the experience. We win, we lose, we draw, we play well, we play badly, sometimes we have a good season, sometimes not. There''s not a lot you can do to change the result. This is just a modern version of talking about it on the way home from the match or in the pub afterwards. But there does seem to be a lot more hand wringing than I remember there ever was.
  17. Yes. And No. A bottle at Christmas is thanks for the business for the previous year and is also saying I expect to carry on the relationship next year. In the good old, bad old days of the oil industry in Yarmouth at its peak in the 1970''s there were instances of a washing machines and I even know for of a car once being given as a gift to secure past and future business. Perhaps its not the same or to the same degree, but its a very faint line between the two.
