1. Personally Ive got no problem with it. The only people that might are those that maybe have a basic bank account with no debit card, and I agree that the system doesnt really cater for them. The suggestion about not giving any card details is a good idea, perhaps giving an email address instead - the club can then give say 48 hours to come in and pay - or pay over the phone or whatever - after which they''ll reallocate the ticket to someone else. Alternatively its a case of getting someone with a debit or credit card to pay and you pay them back
 2.
Yep, he gave a very dodgy penalty against us at Pompey last time we were in the Prem. He even made the Yak take it 3 times as I think he knew he had got it wrong but still managed to score. He also managed to send off Edworthy for a professional foul in the centre circle after around 10mins. Considering, that was a good point that day!
Last time he reffed at Carrow Road we beat QPR 1-0
 3.

Look''s like we are interested in bringing in Arsenal''s Emmanuel Frimpong on a loan deal in January.  Does anyone really know how many loans we are allowed?  This would be a good loan signing I think.
I saw that in the Mirror yesterday but discounted it as we already have the 2 loan players we''re entitled to have.
Yes, but we might buy or send back one or both of them... I think if Naughton''s available we will buy him. Not sure on De Laet, unlikely to want to buy in january and he plays in every game up until then and plays well. Wouldn''t be too exited about signing Frimpong though, he seems ok but nothing special....
De Laet''s contract expires in the summer, so he will be available on the cheap.   As I said above, we could take Frimpong on a 90 day loan deal whilst still having De Laet and Naughton. Frimpong has the potential to be an excellent player, but he does need to calm down a little and think a bit more. He is great in the tackle and one of the most dynamic midfielders I have seen in a very long time, he is still inconsistant though. I would be happy to have him at Norwich, he is similar to Johnson and would provide excellent cover for him.
Bethnal I have a feeling youre wrong on that one.  I did look at the Premier League Rules once before and Im pretty sure they said we were allowed a maximum of 2 "temporary transfers" at any one time with a maximum of 4 in the season.  Irrespective of who from and for how long   The one exception is borrowing players from overseas where I seem to recall its not counted as a temporary transfer (ie a loan) but some other arrangement
 4. Did anyone look at the comments....especially no 2 [:@] http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/plsc-201112-premier-league-201112-best-home-shirt-award-goes-to_13751
 5. OK, being really pedantic 1st off you didnt "Win" them - you have to pay for them and the only "Winners and Losers" are those in the ballot in group 5.  [;)]   However in answer to your question - check the official website - from memory you should get your tickets by 19th November although check your bank account before that
 6. EB, Hucks Lad goes to Town Close school, which is a private (or is it public?  Fee paying, anyway) school.  Generally the majority of the kids there belong to the very well-off   If they were going anywhere to watch a football match it would be OT - theyve got money (x grand from each kid) to do it and to be honest its probably the most famous club stadium in the country if not the world.  Plus if they get the chance to watch Champions League football its probably the best experience they can have   Jas - I think if anything youre right - just as many kids started wearing Chelsea shirts a few years ago.  When I started following Norwich it was because they were local - and if you wanted to see professional football in these parts it was Norwich or the Binners.  Nowadays with internet streaming, non-stop TV etc its quite possible to support - and be very knowledgeable about - any team esp in the top flight.  20 years from now you''ll probably find the majority of fans will never have been to a live game, especially with rising prices
 7. 1. How long have you been a Norwich City Supporter? Since the mid 70s 2. Who is your best player? Bradley Johnson 3. Who you think is Villa''s best player? Agbonlahor if hes fit 4. What is your perception of Aston Villa? Bit like us - best years are in the past and theres been a few false dawns since. Whether we''re in for another one or are genuinely on the way up we''ll know in May 5. What do you think the score will be? 1-1 6. What do you think your final position will be? 12th 7. What do you think Aston Villa position will be? 10th 8. Who introduced you to norwich city? My dad - he wasnt a Norwich fan but he took me to my 1st games 9.What was your first game and what made you want to follow then and made you return? Bolton at Carrow Road - it was a nil nil draw, followed by a one nil defeat to Liverpool. I wanted to keep coming until I saw a Norwich goal and I was hooked by the time I did see us score 10.What stadium you most looking forward too and why? Man City - no real reason other than it''ll be a new ground for me 11.How many games do you visit a season? It will be about half a dozen home and similar away this year 12.Away days for yourselves expensive this season in particular, but do you think Norwich FC are doing all they can to encourage you? Not sure they can do much more at least for me. I like to travel by train and they cant do anything about ticket prices. We have a reasonably good away following 13. What would you define as a good season? Staying up has to be the main objective for any promoted team. 14. Has promotion to the premier league attracted new fans Possibly although we have close to a full house for most games - how many are new I wouldnt like to say. I think we may get a few ''neutrals'' following us 15. Do you think Alex McLeish moving from Birmingham to Villa was a good move for us? He wasnt great at Brum - tbh a cup win is pure luck. I think you could have done better
 8. We''re only allowed 2 loan signings at any one time in the Prem and as things stand thats DeLaet and Naughton. Unless one (or both) go back to their parent clubs or we sign them on permanent deals there wont be anyone on loan
 9.
With Vaughan out until at least Jan or Feb, we might have to dip into the transfer market, but who can we afford that will be better than we have got and who will be effective in the Premiership? Someone in the German league perhaps?
We cant get anyone in til January 1st anyway.  So we have no choice but to stick for now and see if  Vaughan is close to coming back
 10.
Come on guys. If you can''t tell the difference between the two incidents then I don''t think football is your game. It is quite clear that Ramires ran into the right side of the penalty box and the West Brom player was on the left. Also it was up the other end of the pitch!!
Sorry Marigold but youre wrong   One was established Premier League side vs another established Premier League side The other was Top 4 Premier League side vs Newly Promoted side that had been in League 1 two years ago   THATS the difference  [:P]
 11.
Give it back o your dog for about five minutes & then pair it with some distressed jeans (not blue). You might look very stylish. OTBC
If thats your idea of Stylish Bly, you have some very strange ideas.  Have you been talking to the man that lives in St Stephens subway again?
 12.
I have a suggestion Cookieace. When i have worn a shirt for the day there is this magic basket that i put it in and 24 hours later it turns up on a hanger in my wardrobe frehly washed and ironed. This also happens when buttons are missing or even if the shirt has a stain.Buttons are replaced and the stain has disappeared as if by magic.Give it a go with your pluck and it may well work. The only thing you need do is make sure there is a woman in the house before attempting this solution.[:D]
Will any woman do, or has it got to be a particular one?  Mrs BH is very kind and does do my laundry and ironing but some people are not so lucky and therefore may need to borrow a woman....
 13.
As this thread is bringing out the domestic gods and goddesses for football related sartorial maintenance can I ask how I can remove those stubborn post match skid marks?
On your SHIRT???  What on earth do you do with it?  Surely 1p5wich shirts are more fit for purpose for that sort of thing???
 14.
Barrow and Workington back in the Football League.Quite a small ''want'' for me.
What about Darwen as well Cluck??
 15. Shame WITS isnt on here any more [:D]   Have you tried googling it?
 16.
Well, next week I am on a ADR (transportation of dangerous goods) course which is being held at Colchester Utds ground. Have been told to dress in smart casual.... wonder if il get away with my NCFC shirt collections and Jeans with Green and Yellow Retro trainers?
Only if you keep referring to how Paul Lambert is God and ask any Col Who fans (or anyone looking like they may be) if they were at the Weston Homes Paddy Field when we came to townI once did an insurance exam in Ipswich - dress was casual so I went in my Norwich shirt - much to the annoyance of a couple of lads sitting behind me....
 17.
Haven''t worn a club shirt since i was 10 years old, aquascutum trench coat for me most games.
With nothing but your Norwich City official stockings underneath, so I heard.....
 18.
nutty nigel What about if I tryed to get in wearing nothing!   Would that be OK? But where would you conceal the pie and coke you bought in Morrisons                   I''m a big girl, I think it would be physically possible to conceal a coke bottle and a pie in the many nether regions of my ageing body!
Can you smuggle me in alongside your coke and pie??  [;)]
 19. Ah but Neanderthals are the ''normal'' south of the border.....
 20.
Dave Whelan is a very hands off chairman who spends most of his time in Barbados. If there was any transfer business to be done (not sure what with loan window yet to reopen) Martinez would sort it, probably over the phone.
There IS NO LOAN WINDOW. We can only borrow 2 players from other clubs at any one time, and a maximum of 4 in the season. And unless the Premier League sanction an emergency loan (eg for a Goalkeeper - which seeing as we knew that Ruddy would be suspended before the transfer window shut and therefore would be unlikely) we cant bring in any other players until January Maybe Delia and DW are appearing in the next series of Celebrity Wife Swap?
 21.

and i forgot to add, it won`t be too long before our light blue shirts start to appear in playgrounds, which, in a way, will also sadden me.
It''s the poor lost souls I see around wearing the Blackburn tops that beats me. One ''bought'' Premier League title and the short term ownership of Alan Shearer isn''t much to shout about really.
Ive only met one real pre-Shearer Blackburn fan - my ex boss used to have a rovers sticker in his window back in the 80s.  He did come from that part of the world - but theres not many of them, borne out by their attendances   EB has hit the nail on the head when he says there is more Premier Choice up that part of the world - add in Leeds, Burnley, Bradford all of which have been Premiership clubs in recent years and thats a lot of choice in a small area.  We''re lucky to have the catchment we have - however I think the only way we''ll appeal to the local ''Sky Generation'' is to stay in the Prem for a number of years.  Maybe one day we''ll see Norwich shirts up north [:)]
 22.
That''s a good point really regarding Ipswich. Despite having a few hugely successful seasons way back when... you rarely see an Ipswich shirt outside of Suffolk like you do with other similar clubs from the 60s and 70s. Odd that.
Youve never met the Market Twins then Cluck.....
 23. When I was in the ticket office a few weeks ago there was a guy in there enquiring about the season ticket waiting list.  Nothing untowards there, until he mentioned to the girl behind the desk that he was actually a Spurs fan but now lived up here and he wanted to see ''Premiership football'' locally   Kids have always supported the Glory Glory teams.  In my youth it was Liverpool, although a small number liked Man U.  Then Man U took over - challenged for a short while by Chelsea and even Newcastle but nowhere near to the same extent.  Despite the reputation I know quite a few Mancs living in Manchester that are United fans, although the biggest migration round my neck of the woods seem to be Spuds or Wet Sham fans.    Cookie, Im not sure where youve lived over the years but a couple of posts of yours have made me wonder whether you really get the ''gist'' of all this.  Apologies if Ive misunderstood you, but allegience to a team is regardless of where you live to a certain extent - its usually (glory hunters aside) set depending on where you lived as a kid but parents have an influence too.  For example Ive followed City since around the age of 7, despite having been born in London (not far from Brentford) and lived in various places including North Manchester (where my nearest club were probably Bury).  Despite that Ive never wanted to follow either of those - Im City through and through, and will be even if I moved to Bristol, Liverpool or Birmingham
 24. More to the point if theyre not careless, reckless etc then there is NO free kick.  ''Drawing'' a foul however usually means the attacking player is too quick/clever and invites ''careless'' contact, which the defending player is unable to stop/avoid - which IS a foul
 25.
For me the governing bodies should look at the rules. It use to be if you fouled some one you gave away a free kick / penalty. Now players are encouraged to ''draw'' the foul. In many cases this results in very harsh / debatable penalties and dismissals, where the defending player had no intention of fouling another player, and this unbalances the game, affecting the result. I think if the ref determines that a player has drawn the foul, so to speak, this should be an indirect free kick (after all it is an indirect / unintentional foul). No one should be sent off, if they are deemed to have unintentionally fouled a player.
But the rules effectively say that - the laws say that a direct free kick shall be awarded if a player is careless, reckless or uses excessive force to# Trip or attempt to trip an opponent# Kicks or attempts to kick at an opponent# Jumps at or charges at an opponent# Strikes or attempts to strike an opponent# Pushes an opponent# Tackles an opponent (ie without the ball)or does one of the following# handles the ball (except the Goalkeeper)# Spits at an opponent# Holds an opponent And a direct free kick given to the attacking team in the penalty area is a penalty
