  1. Wheatsheaf on 22nd sounds good to me - its a short walk from the station. Not been in there before to watch games so be good to ceck out what it is like. What time did you have in mind? I work in London but should be back in plenty of time fo quaff an ale or three and chat abould all things NCFC.
  2. Sounds like there are a few of us - do you get the train up or drive to games? Moving that Sunderland game to a 2000 kick off means the last train back can''t be done - perhaps that''s one to meet up for
  3. Hi, I am in Chelmer Village in Chelmsford too and happy to meet for beers on times that I can''t get to away games or perish the thought home games either.
  4. I still have it on my virgin v box - not sure how you go about transferring these things though. Will do a copy if I work out how etc.
  5. Barnett for me - literally head and shoulders above the rest, no missed placed passes and Ward a close 2nd
  6. Chelmsford based here - I usually catch the train from Chelmsford direct. The only tricky match is binners at home as the blue filth are all over the trains heading up to Carrow Rd. Happy to meet up locally in Essex though for beers/TV matches.   Tim.
  7. Whereas the beeb have him QPR bound.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bristol_city/8854100.stm
  8. I came across this article that shows the passion of Saints supporters buying a total of 13000 season tickets for their league one campaign. If you scroll down the article there is a messge board where it seeks to draw comparision with our recent high gates. Rather than stick the old ''there is no one else to support in East Anglia rather than us or the filth at the other end of the A140, I would suggest that we are more loyal and have a club that markets season tickets better. I have nothing against the Saints and think they will do well but their fans can be very fickle. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8280919.Season_ticket_sales_soar_at_Saints/
  9. Was this sold by the club or BBC Norfolk - I can''t seem to recall this one. I always remember the ''its deep its long quote from Uncle Roy along with his memorable commentary of the Tranmere game at Prenton Park in the Fog. It appeared to make no difference to his commentary. RIP Roy -  you will be sadly missed
  10. Agreed and the reverse of those set of fixtures is in February - another tricky month.
  11. Hmm Nana, as good as you think the Netherlands are, the Danes will be no pushover. They qualified above Sweden and Portugal from a tough group. Nordic nations are usually well drilled and the Dutch will have to play well to beat Denmark. Having said that, I expect the Netherlands and Denmark to qualify from that group. A point is not the worst result for us but it doesnt take much to get the likes of Alan Green to get on their soapbox.
  12. In my humble opinion, he has been immense for us this season and if Newcastle could loan him out to us next season I''d be very pleased. I think his saves a crucial times, like today have earned us points many times this season. I''d like to see him in the top 3 for player of the season. I think Holt will get it but Fraser has had a great season for us. Hopefully we can get him on loan at least!
  13. From what I know, alot of Leeds fans came down without tickets to sample the ''atmosphere''. That might account for them getting amongst the home fans very quickly. If they were let out of the ground at the same time as the home fans then it was asking for trouble, given their reputation. I made a dash for the station straight after the whistle through the Riverside and didn''t see any trouble.
  14. At the moment, Leeds United couldn''t beat an egg. I''d be looking over your shoulder rather than taking a pop at Norwich. Charlton and Colchester are waiting to pounce on another choke by Leeds.
  15. Caller: Hello Neil. Neil: Hi, what did you think of today''s game. Caller: Hello Neil, you alight? Neil. So today''s game then. Caller. Hello Neil.I didn''t go to the game today........ Without fail every week....
  16. True, I couldn''t make it and being based in Chelmsford, decided to listen to BBC Essex''s version of events. With the Colchester game called off (they usually split commentary for Colchester and Southend), there was full match commentary of the Southend game, apart from the brief dipping in to the Alderdshot v Dagenham and Redbridge game, although as that ended 3-2 to Dagenham they were popping back quite a bit!, which rather spolit the commentary.  Their version was that Southend were the better side, certainly in the second half and were ''gutted'' to see Oli poppng up and get the ''undeserved'' winner. I have to say that having listened to it, BBC Norfolk''s programme and commentary is more professional. Having said that, we can all remember the days of ''Its deep its long'' Uncle Roy on the radio.....
  17. Dare I say it but kettle is bringing this one to the boil. I will get my coat....
  18. We shouldn''t fear playing anyone in this division. So''ton are no world beaters. Brighton have taken the game to them in the first half and put them on the backfoot, Now they are hanging on. If we play our best side in the league and cup. We should be ok.
  19. Sounds slike Swindon were the better side in the 1st half. Would be grate to escape with a cheeky 1-0 away win.
