  1. Maybe Delia could be a villain in the next Bond film,  the hug of death from Mrs Fishfinger ?
  2. Having been born in December 1962, the first 25 years of my life saw only 5 managers. Ashman,Morgan,Saunders, Bond and Brown. However in the 22 years since then we have had 12 managers. Stringer, Walker (twice), Deehan, O''Neill. Megson , Rioch, Hamilton, Worthington, Grant, Roeder and Gunn. I think that most fans would agree that the last five changes were correct, although whether the appointments were right is very arguable. But getting to the point, why can''t we get it right anymore when recruiting a Manager? The answer must be that Delia and Michael  are clueless when hiring . Can they trust themselves this time?
  3. Might be a good choice, but he never stays anywhere for long and that is the last thing we need.
  4. Bl***y Anglia, we only warranted being the third story on and then that grinning scummer Donovan Blake can not even get the name of our chief executive right.
  5. That the only feelings of euphoria in being a Norwich supporter in recent years, have been when the manager gets the boot. The anticipation of a fresh new manager is not unlike waiting for the lottery to be drawn on Saturday, I just hope that the disappointment when the new guys name is revealed is not as deep as usual.
  6. Steve Tilson or Aidy Boothroyd. Sadly I think that we will win Tomorrow and it''ll be Ian Butterworth, I can''t believe that the Club will have changed old habits.
  7. So there is a God, now let''s all pray the next Manager is the right one. (and I''m not even religeous). I know this sounds harsh, but I don''t even feel sorry for him, promoted way beyond his abilities he should never have accepted the job after last season. Had he really bled yellow and green, he would not have accepted the job when offered. Does anyone know how long his contract was?
  8. Yes!!!!!!!! They are always in the way
  9. Compared to whom ?  If they mean that compared to Joe Kinnear, Roeder has class and etc etc it might be true , however I bet that most fans would welcome Kinnear as Boss against Roeder any day. Wouldn''t they?
  10. What research do you think "Team Gunn" have carried out into our new signings? Is it possible that they have watched all of them in action prior to signing them ? I have seen some postings on this forum, where Norwich fans have directly asked the fans of  other clubs for their opinions on Players, ie Nelson and Whaley to name but two. Sadly I have heard of some Managers who sign players on video evidence and have lived to regret it. Given the number of signings made this Summer by Norwich, is it possible that some were rush purchases made without full research , not unlike most of the signings made by Bryan Hamilton ( Raymond de Waard, Fernando Derveld etc)
  11. I thought Norwich City had vast experience in finding jobs for Goal-keepers, Bryan Gunn has filled most of them in his time.
  12. Be afraid, be very afraid, can you imagine starting next season in Div 2, with a ten point deduction, it almost doesn''t bear thinking about.
  13. Is it really only 48 hours ago that we were moaning about never getting any publicity from the media? Well I think that we have had quite enough to last us a lifetime thank-you. The only publicity that I want to hear now is "Gunn Fired " or "Gunn Sacked". Till then I''m leaving  the Radio off and not looking at the TV and as for the papers, well I won''t be buying any Loo Roll this week.
  14. And how is Bryan Gunn going to become a tactical genius and man motivator overnight? To see how all the optimism and enthusiasm has drained from the pages of this forum within half an hour of the seasons beginning is heartbreaking.
  15. I think I am right in saying that Wigan won the old Division 4 title under his management and that he has been caretaker boss at Aston Villa as well. I am not saying that he is the long term answer, but that he has experience at the sharp end and Gunn does not.
  16. I expect to be attacked for this thought, but given that John Deehan is the only member of "Team Gunn" with any managerial experience in his own right, shouldn''t he and Gunn do a job swop ? .even if only for a short term fix.
  17. Bet he plays on Tuesday, first name on the team sheet, didn''t Gunn concede 7 at Blackburn so he will have the utmost sympathy.
  18. How many Black cats were run over by the Bus that took Norwich City on the open top bus tour of the city when we won the championship?.  How much salt was spilt at the civic reception?  Will the bad times ever end ? will the shame ever end?.
  19. I get the feeling that it won''t be too long before Anglia News goes the same way as the Pink ''Un has gone and the Evening News will go, ie extinction. ITV has already tried to drop regional news coverage arguing that as it isn''t funded by the Public, they have no need to satisfy a Public service remit. I feel that the programme is over staffed , does it really need two presenters and a weather forecaster? . It would be interesting to know how many viewers are interested in stories about bird sown exotic plants as an example and how many more viewers would prefer a more comprehensive  Football coverage, at least at weekends. Maybe the fact that the BBC now has the rights to the Football league, means that ITV couldn''t really care less about Football, unless it is the over rated Champions League. If ITV drops its Regional news programmes, they could put another edition of Emmerdale or Coronation Street on and really attract the viewers.
  20. I am sure that the fans of Man City, Leeds and Nottingham Forest said the same thing in previous years but isn''t nice to feel optimism for a change?. The only thing that clouds it for me is the chronic record we have against teams that were below us at the time in the cups, still we can only hope!
  21. Showing my age now, but wouldn''t it be nice if Anglia would bring back Match Of The Week on a Sunday afternoon. It would be so much better than the penny pinching , blink and you''ve missed it coverage they grudgingly give us now. I don''t even think that the late Thursday night show with Kevin Piper will be back, at least this was better than nothing !
  22. May you rest in peace Sir Bobby, you were treated badly by the FA and by Newcastle yet you retained your grace and dignity to the very end. God bless you and your family at this tragic time.
  23. If a club makes a profit on the sale of a player, is this taxable and if so at what rate?
  24. Plaistow Patricia by Ian Dury, the first few lines would put the away fans in their place!
