1. what, Malky out, I don''t believe it, who outted him ? he always seemed so straight when he was our captain
2. I spent a year in Bournemouth one day in the 70''s
3. He left Burnley and went back to Bournemouth because he had some kind of family problems we had enough of that when we had Paul Lambert
4. It sounds good on paper, but it didn''t seem so good when we had Bruce Rioch and Bryan Hamilton. It must undermine the confidence of the coach unless you choose wisely. Lambert and Martin O''Neil could work out though.
5. Haven''t we learned our lesson with Newcastle''s old cast off managers?
6. An in your face manager like Glen Roeder ? perhaps not ?
7. I wonder if there was a misguided attempt to cut back on the compensation fees we have been forced to spend over the last umpteen years. Money that could have been spent on buying some decent players.
8. Being a football manager is such a temporary job these days, I would be surprised at any manager buying his own house, what happened to the house at Cringleford that was supposed to have been bought by Chris Hughton just before we sacked him?.
9. How dare they, he is such a nice man ! perhaps CH will get the job ?
10. Surely this is just a re-hash of a story that did the rounds a couple of years ago, he has done little to enhance his employment prospects whilst with us http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/birmingham-city-boss-chris-hughton-184305
11. Not that it''s anybody elses business than the boards, but maybe they should let slip one or two statistics about the Hughton years. How many games did we win ? how far did we progress in the cups ? How many goals have his wonderful signings scored ? What is the estimated value of signings now. We gave him a very long period of grace and it simply has not worked out , whether it does , who knows ?. I mean no detriment to Chris Hughton, but it has not been a marriage made in heaven.
12. What a shame that Hughton and the board couldn''t have seen the writing on the wall and had a mutually agreed parting of the ways instead of a sacking. Neither board nor Hughton have emerged with any credit, the club has attracted needless bad publicity from the media etc and Hughton appears "Clueless".
13. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2599640/Swansea-Norwich-alert-Garcia-set-quit-Brighton-end-season.html
14. It''s nothing like the Chase years though is it !
15. Would they have paid out ? He is not the permanent manager. yet ?
16. http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/academy-staff-1314-1337717.aspx I was trying to find out earlier exactly who Robson and Nevin were. I dug up the afforementioned link and was stunned just how many coaches etc are involved in the enterprise. I wonder how many people are employed as coaches etc to handle the first team ?.
17. CH will presumably be back in football one day, what level will he be employed at ?. I don''t know why, but I have a premonition that it will be at QPR, up yours Joey Barton. PS Good luck to Neil Adams ! I wonder if he will get two seasons to get it right ?
18. The stupid reaction to the sacking of a non -white Manager, makes it harder to appoint another non white manager it the future, it''s almost counter productive.
19.
Even gunny won his first game in chance. We need to roll the dice for the Fulham game and agree Adams is our best bet for the short term. The whole situation has 1995 and Gary Megson temporary appointment written all over it. And those last 5 games back then we''re tough ones also.
Looks like one win would be enough, doesn''t it ????. Trouble is , if we stay up, I doubt that any changes would be made and we need to make changes or we will end up with "Groundhog Season "
20. Would he be able to motivate the present bunch of players ?
21. No way, But I have a nasty feeling that he will still be here come the first day of the season. We only have to beat WBA on Saturday and it will all be pro Hughton again like it was when we beat Sunderland. He has to go!.
22. Although I would love to see the Messiah back, and GH too, I know that it would never happen, However another bloke in charge might just bring the benefits of the legendary "New Manager Syndrome" and it has to be worth a gamble. This season is too similar to the events of relegation under Bryan Gunn and the one where we seemed to drift into relegation after the bulk of the season was over ( 1984-85 ???) It''s like watch an accident happen in slow motion.
23. What''s the worst that could happen, if we give someone else the chance ? Be it Neil Adams or Malky Mackay. Six games left would be a good trial period
24. I hope that we examine all options at the end of the season and choose the right one irregardless. WE need to put the issue of manger to bed as soon as possible and not wait until the beginning of July before the decision known. Other clubs are making their choice now instead of waiting and we have to be first not last. This season has been wasted by one issue, Hughton Out/In. It has dominated everything.
