What’s really beginning to concern me about Wagner is the erratic nature of his selection and he seems to have no concept of impact on team spirit. What must Batth be thinking (and I expect saying to team mates) when he is being blatantly ignored despite terrible performances and now injuries? Great Warner is picked but how does he feel having great game v Fulham then not included in squad and now in first team, it’s just not rational. From a team motivation perspective both players would’ve had a confidence boost by batth being in the team and Warner promoted to the bench. It’s the same all over the pitch, week after week best defender Stacey dropped Fisher does well but immediately dropped Dimi has a mare, sits one game out and the straight back in Hernandez offers nothing but straight back in Sainz fights his way back to fitness, biggest signing of the summer but not selected Sara always in wrong position Rowe always subbed despite being our only goal threat. That’s even before we look at the poor use of subs and tactical incompetence, honestly I think he has lost the plot

Why on Earth diff we bother buying Batth or Sainz?!? i glad to see Warner in and suppose keeping Duffy gives some stability but he has been really poor. Fact Hernandez is anywhere near the starting 11 shows how far the squad quality had gone backwards

I haven’t got the heart or energy for the club to even bother to read the accounts. But it really seems we have gone full circle with Webber. Now back to a mid championship team, squad full of worthless old hasbeens and a bit of a financial mess (and one where he has p’d even more money up the wall than the predecessors he was so keen to moan about!)

I think he did well yesterday. But it was a strange decision to play him directly against one of the best players in the division at the moment and Stacy was the last of the players I would’ve wanted us to drop. If however we can get a new manager in who can not only introduce players like Fisher and Warner into the first team but also develop them maybe there’s a chance we could all start to love the team again.

Let’s hope so BUT he has a couple of jobs to do before he goes needs to sack his mate Wagner and confirm caretaker manager so that isn’t on the new guy Persuade his wife to leave so there is no more of the Webber stench at the club (that may be unfair on her but the reality is that her husband has ruined this clubs best chances to probably ever be a established premier league club again so her position is untenable)

Not sure how any one can feel sorry for him. Wagner has given him plenty of opportunities to prove himself and step up as our main striker. Sadly all hes proved is he is nowhere near good enough.

I wanted a change in defence but not dropping our best defender! i think it’s fair enough to give Hwang a start, Idah has had good chance and not stepped up. Let’s see what Hwang can do from the start (although not that hopeful! Also like Fassnacht and hopefully provides some solidity until we launch Sainz to win the game

Think we all have known a change is needed in defence/central midfield/formation. well everyone except Wagner so don’t hold your breath!

Interestingly I distinctly remember Wagner saying when he arrived he wanted to play from the back but that that it should be with a first thought of forward passing…he seems to have really lost his way

I think the timing is perfect for this. Webber could actually do something decent again and take the decision to sack Wagner and admit to his mistake and take the flak for it, Pelach can then have until December as caretaker, if he’s brilliant and turns it around he gets the job. if not, the new sporting director gets to appoint his own man with the January window ahead.

What is it they say about insanity being doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results? Honestly, what will it take for Wagner to realise that: the defence needs changing (even just to freshen it up) Mclean and Sara are not a good enough shield for the defence Sara needs pushing up the pitch Idah will never be good enough only consolation no springett but even then dropping him from the entire squad after putting him on first at the weekend seems bizarre. I despair!

I honestly think we need to move on from this 'confidence player' view point... I hoped that was the case but let's be honest he just isnt very good! The only way he may gain confidence is if he drops down a league or even two. Maybe then he will be a decent goal scorer and he could end up blooming like Morris at Luton. But whilst he is playing for us all he is going to show week after week is that he isnt up to Championship level. Saturday was a good example, yes he did the odd decent thing but I dont think he really troubled their defence that much. Most importantly when he got the chance to put the ball in the net he missed an almost open goal. Yes, it would've been ruled out for offside but the reason he missed wasn't due that or a lack of confidence, it's because he isnt a very good striker. If Wagner is going to improve our performance then I'm afraid that Idah has been given the chance and now needs to be dropped.

I think the only person who could explain this is Wagner - did the pink un reporters put this direct question to him? The only other person who would agree it was the right decision would be Springett's mum (but even she wouldnt believe it in her heart of hearts!)

Yes I do think we could. mainly because Sara and Rowe are two of the best players in the league. we also have a decent enough squad of players to support them if we were more tactically astute and selected the right team. im now beginning to wonder is the issue is we don’t have a top 6 manager.

Class is exactly the word I would use for him. also seems to be a genuinely nice guy who loved this club (although Cantwell, leitner and Oliveira may not agree!).
