Darren Huckerby - Post your memories
NCFC_Edward replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Darren Huckerby to me was a hero. Being a part of the younger generation growing up in sunny suffolk, life can be hard being a city fan, but he was the one man that made those Ipswich fans jelous. His loyalty was apparent to all, something that our dearest rivals never had. We had players equal to Huckerby, as in Ashton, but they always had Darren Bent, both of those players, when it came down to relegation were happy to move on and return to the premier league. Huckerby however stuck to this club, he knew what he ment to the fans, and he knew how could he could be. And even when things started to go wrong, he didnt hide away, he stood up and was counted for, which is unusual for a football player of his style. My favourite moment of Hucks had to be at the 2008 open day. He was being escorted out to his car to avoid the mob, but decided to stay and sign autographs and chat to the fans for a good hour or so. This for me epitimised his character. My favourite moment on the pitch had to be his stunning solo effort against Birmingham, to carry the ball that far, around so many players, and then to pull off a top class finish, was just pure genius. Good luck in whatever your career takes you to next Darren, a true Norwich City legend, and a true gentleman. -
Sell
-
Hoolahan cant play on the wing, he drifts so far in and it seems always to leave our full back in a 2 on 1 situation. So if we are going to persistantly play him there, yes sell him, but if we''re going to play him in his best position, behind the fowards, then he must be kept.

Re: ****Protest next saturday****
NCFC_Edward replied to can u sit down please's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Im all for protesting and so on, but surely its got to be the right time and place. Presumably a new manager will be inplace before saturday, so surely for his first game at Carrow Road, which would be a league game, and therefore is important, would be an inappropriate time?. However if you were talking about the Sunderland game on sky, which would gain more publicity through the television, and is a game of lesser importance, because lets face it, were not going to win the carling cup, then i, and a lot more people would be inclined to take part. I also think a protest in and around the ground would have more affect. The amount of fans that read this forum is a minority, so when the ''non pinkun'' fans, that want the ''Stowmarket 2'', to be ousted, see people protesting, then they would join and the whole thing would pick up momentum, with more than a 100 turning up. because i dont think many people hang around the archant towers or wherever you are planning to meet before a game. So with larger numbers attending surely the local press become interested? Just a thought -
i heard a similar story last night, with Delia selling 90% of her shares. Never heard anything from this source before, so might just be/probably is rubbish.

Maybe a protest march prior to the next home game. Start from somewhere like the trainstation then head towards the directors entrance. Finish it at 1450, hit the ground and sing our hearts out for the lads. Keep the negativity outside.
can we stop off at morrisons?
Hmmm, what if ASDA take over the Big W store though? Decisions, decisions...
Ifs and buts..... Morrisons all the way!
