Formation Vs. Chelsea?
Chelmsford Canary replied to newyorkcanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Our formation will be interesting as it will give us a clue how Lambert will approach the bigger clubs. To diamond or not to diamond that is the question. My prediction would be to pick up were we left of last game ( prior to the sending off ) With hopefully Morrison replacing martin to give us more of a chance scoring when Pilks & Bennet do manage to get a cross in or we attack our set plays. Stoke held Chelsea for a point so it makes sense to come out with a similar formation to our last game.
Is there any news on Morison? Not heard whether he will be back, possibly on bench tonight?! -
Why not look at the performance, and say we played well and easily could have come away with no points had Ruddy not made save! FFS!!!

not in any way saying we are going to win, but great time to play them personally, not quite gelled yet, new manager, with new ideas, and prob, best keeper in division -
Guess the transfer! Bullard.

QPR they have the money -
it sort of reminds me off Arshavin before he signed for Arsenal. He said i''ve always supported them, and then his name was touted about three other clubs all of which he supported and wanted to play for
-
"Everyone knows I''ve followed West Ham all my life but I''ve always had a soft spot for QPR," said Fernandes, who is also team principal of Formula 1''s Team Lotus. "Rangers were one of the first teams I watched as a child at Loftus Road." He''s gone down in my estimation, after this comment - what a load of 8ollox

Stoke: Potential injuries
Chelmsford Canary replied to Lincs CR's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
They showed how good defensively they are against Chelsea. Not a game I am looking forward to, I think though that we should play Jackson, I think his pace could be dangerous and that''s probably the weakness in the Stoke defence. There is no point playing a physical players up front because Shawcross/Huth/ can probably match them. I think we need to use the pace in the team against Stoke. Bennett and Pilkington should start for me and then Fox Crofts/Johnson. I love Wes, but not sure this is his sort of game, because he isn''t the quickest player in the world, he does have the skill but he will have to be on the ball. I hope Pennant is out to be honest, think he can be very dangerous player on his day, I also hope Delap isn''t playing, we seem to struggle at corners and his throw''s pretty much are corners but from a better angle.
Yep pace sounds good with Jackson. Also see this being a game for Brad Johnson, to add to the muscle in the middle -
Successive promotions!!

Or how about QPR, Reading and Fulham in the past all stayed at the top! West Ham will win league. -
Relegation Mini-League
Chelmsford Canary replied to CantonsHero's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think there are 7 teams who will be in trouble come the end of the season. Thus there are 12 really important games for each team will really decide the season. After Week 1 (Saturday) TEAM RELEGATION GAMES POINTS Wolverhampton Wanders 1/12 3 Norwich City 1/12 1 Wigan Athletic 1/12 1 WBA 0/12 0 Swansea 0/12 0 QPR 0/12 0 Blackburn Rovers 1/12 0
Personally, I think you can take out West Brom and Wolves. Add in Newcastle. -

It was the first day of the season, it was not just us finding their feet. Give it a few more games and then we can really see where our weaknesses are.
Very true, but by then the transfer window will be closed and we will have to live with any such weaknesses until January. I think our hope must be that this is a repeat of last season when we were ''woken-up'' by Watford and there followed a rapid improvement.
Hope so!

Well Planned Norwich City.
Chelmsford Canary replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Its a problem if your under 21, or just over. But its business, people having been getting away with using under 21 prices for a long time now. I wish I could get cheap tickets, but I can''t. Why fiddle the club you support. However thats just p1ss poor organisation -

Chelmsford Canary replied to LeJuge's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Well - I would not like Dyer (past it), Gabbidon (injured), Bothroyd (arrogant, lose team spirit). DJ Campbell, did ok last year, poor at Leicester. Joe Cole past his best. Did Onouha play much for Sunderland last year? Not for me thanks -

I see a lot of people don''t think Arsenal will be top 4! Think your right, Mr Wenger is losing it. Hope so I hate Arsenal, probably equal to Suffolk teams -
Comparing 2011 to 2004
Chelmsford Canary replied to Cantiaci Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Flemming? Really? Top Championship defender but was getting old would have whitbread over him! For attitude I would have Bennet ahead of Francis and I think it remains to be seen is Morison is better than Svenson. Bassically what im saying is Im happy with this current squad and would only have Huckerby (who in his prime would be the best player in th current squad) and Green prior to his carrer going tits up!
Or Barnett. Flem was a good lad, but slow, lacking in height etc
