It really is pathetic if a Premier league club cannot get a £5 million + shirt sponsor as this was the minimum about 3 years ago. Notwithstanding the ethical considerations it should still be possible.

Have to endorse this. I am delighted that this incompetent man is no longer going to be at the club. I challenged him about the amount of the Dafabet sponsorship and he tried to belittle me. It was an over inflated claim by him which in reality was the poorest in the PL even amongst teams with the same sponsors. He has been found out at last by one **** up too many.

All I was trying to say was that we need to be better at it and a better commercial director may be the way forward.

Shirt sponsors are massive income streams for many clubs - some of top six etc. more than £30 million. We were bottom of the pile last time in the PL and we don’t seem very good at securing a lucrative deal with the right company.

At least it won’t be Fulham.

Our natural range is 16-26 so we need to be at the top end of that to stay up. Unlikely with present squad but we may be surprised. To achieve 40 points or an average of 1 point per game would be enough and it sounds awfully easy but last time it was half that so we need to get off to a flying start.

Agreed. He is ultimately responsible and must go. In one fell swoop he has trashed our wholesome family image and made us a laughing stock in the football world.( You can just imagine the chants of rival fans) Many people will not buy these shirts and we should terminate the deal immediately.

As I have said elsewhere the Dafabet deal was the worst in the PL and not a massive deal.

I cannot remember the exact figures but they were published. When I challenged him he used the amount of the whole package instead of the annual amount which was the lowest in the PL. even for teams with the same sponsor - Fulham and one other I think it was. It is difficult to get a detailed breakdown by the way the accounts are constructed and in any event the deal has now been terminated.What angered me was the way he trumpeted the deal which in fact was very poor.

But that was not what he said.

Kensell should resign forthwith. I never believed his figures for the previous sponsorship which he trumpeted as massive. In fact they were the worst in the PL even with the same sponsor. Delia will not be happy with this debacle and heads should roll.

Kensall sold us a pup with the last sponsors as despite his denials we were the lowest recipients in the PL. I am not too troubled with the type of sponsor as long as the deal is good but I wonder how happy Delia is with the image of this company bearing in mind our community ethos. We are being ridiculed on TWTD. Comparing our sponsor with Ed Sheehan.

The timing of the sale was critical and surely played a part. Selling just before the end of our accounts year when we made a £30 million loss means no corporation tax will be paid in this accounting year. Wait another 24 days and we will be in the next accounting year when we will certainly make a taxable profit. Back of envelope stuff but I reckon we have saved £7 million so certainly not a fire sale.

Further to my earlier text I still think a dedicated spot would be a good idea if this could be arranged. In that way we could all see areas of concern and maybe add comments/value before the group takes the items to the club forum.

Hard to see where 40 points are coming from. It sounds easy averaging slightly over 1 per game but that is 19 more than last time.

Thanks Greavsy. As an ex member of the S.C.G that some considered elitist I wondered if it would be a good idea to have a dedicated spot for supporters to highlight any issues/concerns that the new group could take forward at their meetings.
