  1. If the post where you live is anything like it is here, you''ll never get the tickets in time for the match.
  2. No not them, her - I see that she''s going to move to Madrid now that Becks has pledged his future to Real for another season - still that''s another player Megson can cross off his wish list. (no not her, him) Hopefully the move will encourage her to eat a bit more as judging by today''s picture she looks as though a good feed would do her the world of good. Blimey, I''ve see more meat in a butchers finger nail
  3. Sorry DDIM but can''t agree - doesn''t it take ages flicking through all 122 pages of this board already ?
  4. Two attempts to post already censored but it''s so good it''s worth the effort of a third try David Ginola Work it out for yourselves or put in in http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/ if you don''t already know it
  5. For me, I''d like to see more Forums on the entry page. For example, the current Matches/Tatics/Players/Rivals/Gossip forum covers a whole multitude of topics which could be split up into more easily digestable chunks. This would make it easier to locate threads that you are specifically interested in. It might also enable posters to see if there''s already a thread running on the topic they want to discuss and prevent half a dozen different threads which basically cover the same topic.
  6. Just wait a couple of months and Wolves will be desperate to sell a few players just to get a bit of money in so they can rebuild. He ain''t likely to figure too much in their playing plans either as I see they''ve offered Ince a new deal. At 28, I don''t think he''s worth a penny over £300k
  7. FA Cup Third Round - Everton 3-1 Norwich Great performance, diabolical penalty decisions, and very little luck Came away with credit and proof that we could survive in the Premiership. Defeated but we could hold our heads high Most important it meant we could concentrate on the League - look what happened to Millwall & Sunderland with their Cup runs
  8. Fabian Wilnis - modern day Hans Christian Anderson Andy Marshall - ball boy for Man Utd at Cardiff Joe Royle - burger tester for McDonalds
  9. Winis - modern day Hans Christian Anderson
  10. Over rated, over age and over the hill. Always flatters to deceive when I''ve seen - we''ve already got better. No thanks.
  11. I think it will be the 3 teams with the least points, although I might be wrong. It could go down to goal difference
  12. A City rejoices in the prosperity of the righteous: there is jubilation when the wicked perish ! (Proverbs 11:10)
  13. For all "newcomers", who are a lacking in the history department, I suggest you read Kevin Baldwin''s book called "The Second Coming". I think this explains it all, paricuarly the first chapter. The book is really excellent (as was the interesting and very funny "Norfolk ''n Good") and if you haven''t read them yet, they would both give you something to enjoy over the summer months when there''s nothing else to do Does anyone know what''s happened to Kevin since - I know he also wrote "This Sporting Life" which was dull in comparison to the the other 2 books, but I haven''t heard about anything since In my opinion, Mike Walker was the best manager we''ve ever had (so far). To finish 3rd in the Premiership took a lot more than luck or by simply inheriting someone elses team. It''s a shame that it didn''t work out the second time but to be honest, that would have taken a miracle to do it again We should take this a warning when we see all this rubbish about various ex players coming back
  14. Hartlepool United - went there once about 15 years ago but it was shut. However, did see a game that night, Hartlepool v Stockport County in Division 4 as it was then, I think. Freezing cold, poor facilities and the game ended 0-0, a night to remember. Since then though I''ve always looked out for their results but don''t ask me why.
  15. Who do we want with us next year ? Well, Rushden & Diamonds would do nicely but as that''s not likely to happen I think Palace would be the best option for me Reasons - Sunderland & W Ham have better support, better players & more money A no for Ip**** is self explanatory so I''m left with Palace It wouldn''t surprise me if Dowie did a runner to Leeds even if Palace go up. Don''t think Palace could hack it if they got dumped by yet another Manager Therefore on this basis, 2 of the 3 relegation places would be filled by WBA and Palace giving us a better chance of staying up
  16. Well, I suppose it''s nice to speculate about new arrivals and I''m no different to anyone else. However, let''s keep things in perspective here and forget about any ex players coming back as they basically fall into one, or more, of the following categories - 1. Those who got too big for their boots - Kenton, Marshall, O’Neill (Keith) 2. Those who are past their best before date - Sherwood, Mills 3. Those who we can''t afford anyway - Sutton, Bellamy 4. Those who are worse than useless - Akinbiyi, Dalglish, Heckingbottom 5. Those who we didn''t want – Russell, Cureton, Llewellen, Jackson, Bromby 6. Those who now prefer to be somewhere else – Nielsen, Nedergaard 7. Those who flattered to deceive - Libra, Emblen Quite honestly I can’t see any of them coming back and that’s fine with me as in my opinion there are better options around, both in terms of quality and value for money. Hang on though, I just saw Martin Peters in Aldi !!!!!!!!!
  17. Some people never learn. There''s a golden rule in football - never take back a player, or manager, history tells us they''ll never be as good as they were before. The game is littered with returnees who''ve dissapointed second time around - ask Mike Walker
  18. Anyone at home providing we get a "homer" referee who''ll give us a couple of penalties - that''ll do nicely
  19. Sinister, me thinks he ain''t going to stay
  20. The only "good news" will be when we know he''s not comming here. Whenever I''ve seen him play he looks like an old woman. So much so I thought his name was Ruth. We dont want her, there are much better options about and that doesn''t include Terry Sheringham - come to think of it they might well be his next club. After all, that''s where people go to retire
  21. Perhaps you should send a copy of this to Ipswich, after all, they do claim to be the best team in Division 1 so you could ask them what awards they''ve won this season - the relpy might be on the short side Whilst on the subject, presumably as they''re the best team in Division 1, they won''t want to win the play offs and be officially recognised as the 3rd best team in Division 1 Much better that they stay just where there are and try & prove that they''re the best team in Division 1 "again" next year
  22. The odds of winning the Lottery are 14 million to 1, and yet people win it every week !
  23. There''s a rumour going round that we''re going to sign Jonny Wilkinson for next season. Then we can kick off, pass the ball to Jonny, Jonny plants it right in the corner, quick throw in to Hucks, a little jiggle past 2 defenders, a cross and a header by Svennson - one nil inside 30 seconds while all those highly paid defenders are still working out how much money there going to earn for the next 90 minutes "work"
