    The Sun on Saturday reports Hooper now a PL referee 4 years after his introduction as an experiment in City v Palace in PL. Remember Jerome''s disallowed equaliser and Bassong''s penalty call just after. Only plus is he won''t be reffing the Canaries any time soon. Eddie Ilderton PL ref soon? maybe a possibility.

    No lack of confidence at the Boro after yesterday same cannot be said of City folded completely after penalty miss and Krul major error. Krul must start to see if he''s really the car crash he looks to be. Loans available until 31st Aug could be Farke''s death knell otherwise.

    Tettey trying to advertise his ball skills yesterday looked fairly strange but when you try to practice them just outside the penalty area there will be recriminations. AT entirely responsible for second goal but also responsible for fourth failing to get anywhere challenging the playing heading into the penalty box. Not for the first time goes missing when defending set pieces. Trybull a more effective DM than AT why was he missing?

    Good summary but really MoM surely must be Onel had a hand in all 3 goals and brought down for penalty. However seemed wasted at times when isolated out wide needs to get more interested. Our new hero Josh Who?

    Unless Farke believes Krul can be trusted after today. If we want to do anything which seemed a possibility after 45 mins. However Tettey and Krul managed to sap the teams confidence on 46 mins along with Rhodes attempted penalty. If neither had done the calamity a victory looked nailed on. If Farke cannot get an effective keeper by Aug 31 it looks bleak after what was a promising beginning. Onel was absolutely brilliant and must be gutted.

    It''s opening game of season and we haven''t lost although it was close. But why Husband at LB when Steipermann filled in there last season quite capable but when in midfield looked lost and not a creator. Are we that short of cover but Mclean and Leitner on bench to give that creativity.

    During his contract he obviously receives being paid and gets treatment for injury as he is insured by the club. Once contract expires no pay, treatment or insurance. Expect insurance claim to be filed before contract expires next May perhaps unless Jarvis could get another contract. Once insurance paid cannot play again unless gives payment back. Unsure if has to retire due to injury means City recover anything. Stuck with the Jarvis saga for some time to come.

    DF prefers back 4, need some width further strengthening needed unfortunately cannot afford quality that will be needed. Striker issue seriously considered Dennis and Nelson not prolific enough to be given the title lets see a 20/30 goal striker from Div 1/2 who actually knows where the goal is. Look to Div 2 for potential unless there is a gem from Germany better than Dennis.

    Now the fire sale appears to be under way. Lets look at promising young British players from Div 1 and 2. Rather than pursue aging continental plodders. Look to the future lets see if Farke can walk the walk in coaching promising younger players. Not those selected merely for the U23/U18 squads. The future looks bleak give us a team to support with some hope.

    According to BBC nothing on JM. Hope selling is over sure BG will not be attracted to Swansea now a Championship club but with pots of dosh but still a hole.

    JM said to favour Southampton and not Leicester £22m + add ons agreed apparently. One of the add ons must be a Sell On Clause. He needs to go to smaller club where he will get games another couple of seasons improvement will see huge clubs come calling for £50m+. Southampton ideal as a selling club.

    Whilst we continue to develop/buy players we can offload for £10m we will be able to limp along each season. Once all the stars have gone the chickens will come home to roost. Players who do not come up to snuff will be a millstone a la Naismith, Martin, Pinto, Oliviera and Klose. Who can we see falling into potential £10m+ stars maybe Lewis then looks like the cupboard is bare. Now out of Pl era of 4 year contracts is up shorter contracts mean stars on shorter contracts and less time for stars to blossom.

    Yeah it''s a dump and getting worse by the day you can be sorry for those who follow the Fair City team but have to live here. Not only a dump but populated by complete numskulls. Live 200 yards from Lamex but wouldn''t cross road to see the Boro.

    With needing to fit in 7 English players in the matchday squad could be a problem with us selling our English stars. Who to buy? suggest we invest in the lower league, Webber will have to look closer to home if we are to avoid breaching these rules.

    Next season will be worse than last season. Less creativity in the squad reliance on young Argentinian to fill Maddison''s boots. Non scoring strikers benefitting or not by laboured build up. to avoid relegation will be a bonus.

    Jacob by far best of the twins £12m overpaid by Newcastle. £10m for Josh will be overpaying for Josh one decent game every four games. There must be cheaper, better options for flanking players abroad Hernandez for example already looks more impressive than JoshM.

    Isn''t that against the rules? Law changed because Watford enlisted a large number of foreign loanees. Fulham loaned 2 from Chelsea Kalas and Piazon, Targett from Southampton, Mitrovic from Newcastle and Norwood from Reading. We only got two domestic Reed and Gunn did we miss out on others or is this a blatant breach?

    Not a great deal of love on here for Carlton. I presume none of you have seen him play for the Shrews. Although not prolific but has been holding the ball up and looks as promising as either Nelson or Dennis. Has scored two very important goals in taking Shrews to Wembley and took both well. Carlton should be given a role in City''s attack next season maybe with one or two additions. A fox in the box from the lower leagues or German Div II could be added. Who ever is given the opportunity unless ball gets forward quicker struggles will ensue is Farke capable ? to provide this I doubt it.

    To sell a player you need to find a buyer not rocket science if we can find one which is doubtful Klose would jump at the chance to rectify the mistake 3 seasons ago. In World Cup year he would have been clamouring for a move to get to WC not a possibility with us labouring in the Champ. Klose will be off in 12 months unless City get PL.

    Pep might like Gunny to get PL experience but what PL team would put their faith in a keeper with limited experience to keep them up. As it is likely only a lesser light would be interested.

    Obviously earning more from pauper EFL club than he can get by returning to Norway was always the case. Forget the altruistic views some have here. Remains to be seen if one game a week will be good value if keeps fit.

    Maddison transfer fee increases week by week. City being unrealistic about cashing in on their only asset. Can see them settling for £20m and James off to Liverpool where he will not play for 2 seasons and go off on loan to Palace. Better off staying at City playing every week looking brilliant amongst the plodders.

    Last prog City v Preston May 2004 promotion special. Only one bought that season for posterity. Modern progs repeat same info each home game not interesting enough. Used to put vouchers for cup final but this City could have done this to ensure real fans for Play Offs.

    Not gonna happen this season what is left. If not when Wes maybe off to Birmingham possibly next summer. Too far in future to be meaningful. A disgrace could not be arranged had a year to do so. Left us with a cameo. Thanks for the memory.
